Awakening Song

March 31, 2011 at 11:18 pm (Poems)

Happy flutters of birds that sing

Green grass that pushes up to cling

To sunshine beams and warmer air

Yellow Dandelion buttons that grow with it there

Trees that harken new life’s calls

That shook and shivered in winter squalls

Clouds that puff and roll with rain

Winds blow from places unheard of, unnamed

Squirrels that harken a call to come play

They jump and cling to branches that sway

Air that sings an awaking song

The promise of Sun and warmth to calm

With the cold of Winter‘s reluctant release

The arm wrestle of season’s increase, increase

I pray and cheer ” Yes! Winter – let go!”

“Away with the freezes, begone Mr. Snow!”

“It’s time to welcome warm sunny days.”

“That call us out to set in those rays.”

Green things and flowers that remind us to grow

That Winter’s forgotten, and Spring wants to show

Without pain, I cannot appreciate pleasure.  Without doubt, I cannot understand certainty.  Without confusion, I cannot perceive clarity,  Without fear, I cannot begin to know overcoming.  Without evil, I cannot comprehend it’s counterpart in good.  Without hatred, I cannot see the true beauty of love.  Without God, I would never have hope to know any of these things. He is all the Revelation of purpose and meaning in every little and big thing.  Without Him – I am nothing, nothing has meaning, nothing is clear and everything is nothing.

Faith vs Fear

March 30, 2011 at 4:17 pm (Remodeling the Mind, WSGD Newes)

Fear – is the most ravenous thing on earth. It can consume and keep on consuming without pause. It never gets lazy, disinterested, confused, filled, satisfied, sleepy, sick, injured, or forgetful. It can only be duped or tricked into believing it’s won – but then stunned to find it’s obsession completely stolen out from underneath it. It is the craftiest and ugliest of cancers. It is patient – it has plenty of flexiblilty. It doesn’t age. It has and will take all the time in the world to achieve it’s goals. It doesn’t give up or give in. It just keeps re-routing and trying again. It seems to know of back doors and hidden passage ways to every soul on earth. Its area of expertise is that ability to always have an answer or the “upper-hand”, of coming across-ed like it knows everything and can accomplish anything. It’s focus is utterly and completely limited to things that are seen, touched, and one dimensional. It’s mission is to keep stacking anything and everything onto and building up that wall of unsurmountable, unattainable, and unbelievable. That’s it! It’s job is to build walls, confine, sedate, lure, intimidate, weaken, tire, confuse, and delay. If you shove fear, it will answer with a sure and certain PUSH back. It almost has the same feel as the theory of relativity, except that it has no TRUTH to it. The blood that pumps through it’s heart is made in the molecular of lies. If you have a moment of clarity, it immediately donates its blood in confusion and doubt. For inspiration it will inundate the mind with futility and stab at the heart with overwhelming detail of the mundane duties yet to do, and meaningless things in life. It is the king of distraction, the executive producer of illusion. It is happiest when it convinces one just to survive. It uses the method of comparison to steal away any effort made in individual beauty. After all, there’s always someone more…beautiful, talented, marketable, gifted, graceful, elegant, well spoken, stronger, determined, wealthier, connected, favored, and the list goes on and on!! It has no problem pointing out inspiring things – even beauty – in others, but stops at nothing to irraticate the slightest inkling in the psyche of it’s mission. Fear HATES you! It is bilingual, multicultural, and even knows the language of babies. It is a relentless finger pointer, at you and everyone you know, see, hear, and come into contact with.

There is only one thing that frightens fear – FAITH! Fear is blind and incapacitated in the arena of belief in something (Someone) unseen, unrealized, and based in hope and trust in the God who made Faith way before fear came to be. Fear doesn’t know everything. It has never even come close to seeing Elohim! It’s never touched even the hem of His garment, much less known the mind of Him who created every good and perfect thing. It knows nothing about love. Has no concept of hope and can not perceive a thing about faith! Faith is that trust we cling to in a Savior who conquered on a cross, in that place within us that He lives and speaks, guides and comforts, and pulls our gaze to Himself as our only hope. Someone once said, “The only thing to fear – is fear itself.” I say why encourage or allow fear at all?? I say fear is just a reminder to push forward, that there’s more to do, learn, create, and imagine. It’s a humble reminder that we serve a God who knows everything, and can be trusted with our own hearts, lives and dreams. Fear is just a red-flag that alerts us to run back to Abba and listen to Him as He drowns out the voice of fear! It’s the stop sign at an intersection, look both ways, yield the right of way and keep going! (the right of way…belongs to God) We are not meant to stay there – we will die if we do.

Faith, fears antidote, is as free and accessabile as air. It’s the essence of seeing the finish line, knowing the fight will be fierce to get there, and the dues that are paid are NOTHING compared to the gifts that rain down once the line has been crossed. The only guarantee fear offers is more fear, stompted out dreams, and apathy and disillusion of TRUTH. Faith GUARANTEES reward, more than we imagined, different often, than we picture, but always exactly what we need. Sometimes the finish line points to another one. There’s always more…dreams reproduce! Faith’s visions, clear the fog of the mind and usher in worlds and colors hinted at yet not completely discovered. They lay down in the quiet sigh of invitation. There’s MORE!!

Fear is the neon sign that Faith is the only option.

(the Complete Jewish Bible, uses the word Trust where the word Faith is used in most other translations)

Ephesians 3: 20 – Now to Him who by His power working in us is able to do far beyond anything we can ask or imagine, to Him be glory in the Messianic Community(Church) and in the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) from generation to generation forever Amen!

2 Corinthians 5:7 – for we live by trust, not by what we see.

Hebrews 11:1 – Trusting is being confident of what we hope for, convinced about things we do not see.

Hebrews 10:23 – Let us continue holding fast to the hope we acknowledge, without wavering; for the One who made the promise is trustworthy.

Ephesians 6: 10-18, 23 – Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with His mighty strength! Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing. Therefore, stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist, put on righteousness for a breastplate, and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom (peace). Always carry the shield of trust, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. And take the helmet of deliverance; along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of God; as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people.  Shalom to the brothers (and sisters). may God the Father and the Lord Yeshua(Jesus) the Messiah give you love and trust.

Moments of worry, Moments of reaching

Moments are fading and our reach is beseeching

Moments of weary, Moments of sorrow

Moments are ticking into thoughts of tomorrow

Moments of longing, Moments of shaking

Moments last forever when hearts are breaking

Holy Timekeeper

You hold the hands of time

You hold the hour-glass that’s sifting

Show us Your hands, and the way of Your shaping

Every moment of beauty, in this heart You are making

Only in You will every minute be

A moment of discovery of You – I can see

Thoughts, O God, Thoughts

Thoughts are heavy, Thoughts are strained

Of disasters tomorrow that can’t be contained

Thoughts keep turning, Thoughts fly past

The exhausting, unyielding, never-ending task

Thoughts running empty, Thoughts fighting thoughts

Endlessly thinking and counting the costs

In You there is freedom – O God – help me see

These moments have purpose and faith is the key

In You, I hear boundless thoughts of Your Grace

Each moments is building – till I see Your Face

Help me be Holy, help me stay sane

In these Thoughts and these Moments

That rattle my brain

Hold me close, and scoop up my tears

In these Thoughts and these Moments

Brings Love to my fears

And in my frail body that’s fading away

Whisper Your thoughts in these moments, today

And then I will praise You

In all things that come

In my thoughts and my moments

may Your will be done

~ My Wounds Child ~

March 28, 2011 at 10:22 pm (Prayers) (, , , , , , )

This was written down during a prayer time, these are the words Abba spoke to me as I was instructed to pick up my pen and write them.

~  ”Remember those unkind words, The ones that went in to claim you? ~ My Wounds, Child ~ Remember those looks; The ones that sought to leave permanent reflections of judgment and contention? ~ My Wounds, Child ~ Remember how your words were twisted and your heart rejected, How misunderstanding felt like a noose around your soul? ~ My Wounds, Child ~ Remember how laughter and cruelty tried to stake their claim on your history, your future? ~ My Wounds, Child ~ Remember all your assumptions of right and wrong, How they went out toward others and played their song?~ My  Wounds, Child ~ Remember all the people you reflected not My Love to? ~ My Wounds, Child ~ Remember the ones you hurt, the ones that hurt you? ~ My Wounds Child- My Children, My Wounds ~ Remember the empty tomb, where I got up and breathed again? Remember the wounds cast into the sea, all My  Children now sit on My knee – and Life was cast out into the midst of them? ~ Remember how small you made Me,  remember how weak you made Me – Remember others think I’m small and weak -still? -By My Wounds they are healed, and so are you, Child. ~ Loves price is woundedness, Loves debt was paid in full by My Wounds. ~ When My wounds strike you and surround you in chains… remember they exist no more – only Love remains ”  ~
