Do You Call Him Lord?

Do you call Him Lord?
Do you call Him Saviour?
Do you call Him Friend?
Exactly what percentage of your heart, soul, mind and spirit will you account for in the end?
Is it His Name you call to?
Is it His bank you withdraw and deposit from?
Is it His advice you conform to?
Is His Name engraved upon all you are; or do you use it like a velcro’ed sign, off and on at your disposal?
Do you eat the Words He gives you, or do they eat the dust of collection? Do you excuse their absence by ability and refuse His correction?
Are your thoughts drawn towards judgement and unproved accusation towards ANYONE? Do they accused based on your judgement or His?
Do you speak out His Name without hesitation at any and all times? Do your eyes roll at those who do?
Are you a nut for Jesus? Has He cracked your shell?
Do people judge and avoid your “table”? Or do they clamor to sit beside you because they know that you are able?
Where does He invade and conquer more than just your sin? Where does He become everything, from without and within?
Whose heart do you feel beating, His or yours the most? Whose eyes have been corrected? Have your ears been checked and opened by His voice?
Have you watched peoples’ respect fade away because His Word and Name so changed you? Have you been discounted because He has so rearranged you? Do you “stick out like a sore thumb”? Or do you blend in quite nicely?
Do/did you struggle and wrestle to fight for your life or did/does your life struggle and wrestle with Him? Rest assured if its the latter, He won’t deny you in the end.
Is He your Counselor and Advisor and the “buck stops at Him”? Or do have and live by more “self-help” books that tell you to be more, not less, than Him?
Is individuality the movement of your mantra? Or do you die so He can live, and lose your-self without being lost? There is only One Way that can teach you, His Name is Jesus, and it will have a cost. Not the cost of currency – though that may surely be, but the cost of feeling “part of this world”; and it will cost you what only He can feed.
Do you call yourself a Christ-ian and remove the name of Christ? Instead becoming ” a in”, rearranging the very price? Do you know that the word name means character, not just letters “engrouped”?
What has His Lordship cost you?
Do you know Him in the practical as well as the profound?

Do these words sound rather “preachy”? Do they call you to consider? If its the former, rest assured you are mighty fine. Go about your way, there’s no axe here to grind. If you find yourself considering and have a pull and tug of war – know that He is waiting and knocking on your door.

To call Him Lord is a whole life change – not a badge or patch. For to do so is to know Him forever, not to, is to never know what you missed till its too late. Its NOT hell to be feared without Him, as if heaven and hell were a “place”. Its to never have known Him or have the choice. Hell is day in and out without hearing and knowing His voice. It can be today, here and now. The gift He gives is choice.

There is a man Named Jesus. God and man is He. His Name means Salvation. He is the One we are born to meet. There is NO other reason. His story starts in Genesis and reads to Revelation, but it continues on in human hearts in each and every generation. If you want Him to write His Character (Name) down beside your own, you don’t need a priest, pastor or “church” – He can lead you on His own. Just say His Name and ask Him to become the unending sentence in everything you are and do. Dedicate your mind to His Word and your spirit and heart to His Counsel. And one day He will ask you, “Who do you say that I am?”. Your answer will be, “Everything!”
You won’t care what happens next, or if you “passed the test” – you will already know Him and trust Him for the rest.

Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah 🙂
