E-mu-nah ~ Firmness

The Hebrew root aman means firm, something that is supported or secure. This word is used in Isaiah 22:23 for a nail that is fastened to a “secure” place. Derived from this root is the word emun, meaning craftsman. A craftsman is one who is firm and secure in his/her talent. The feminine form of emun is the word emunah meaning firmness, something or someone that is firm in their actions. When the Hebrew word emunah is translated as “faith”, as it often is, misconceptions of its meaning occur. Faith is usually perceived as a knowing while the Hebrew emunah is a firm action. To have faith in Elohiym is not knowing that Elohiym exists or knowing that He will act, rather it is that the one with emunah will act with firmness towards Elohiym’s will.

I italicized specific words. This is meant to emphasize any and all connections to Yeshua (Jesus). Note: why He was nailed to the cross! From the above perspective, this fairly explodes with meaning! Also, that Yeshua was a craftsman, both with wood and His real purpose of craftsmanship, doing the will of His Father, teaching others to do that! Wow!
Then the concept of faith, to have firmness of action in His craftsmanship!

I pray these little snippets of Hebrew perspectives opens up wide the doors of your walk with Yeshua, the Father, and Spirit as it does me! What a Mighty Word, we follow!

Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah ❤
