Lord, These Hands Have More

February 4, 2013 at 3:54 am (Poems) (, , , )

Lord, these hands have more
More to give
Than just a simple touch
They emptied out
The tiresome thought
And now know not so much

Lord, this mind has learned so much
That galaxies feel yet near
Yet all its stores
Are but a book of dust
Without action to keep from rust

Moths and rust do destroy
But from You they were made
To teach the treasure
To take its measure
And run the race You bade

Father these feet
Are sore and creeping
But full of run by will
Help them swift
And sure of falling
To keep humility still

Lord this heart
Stoney and soft
Equal parts it holds
Be there inside
Is all I ask
You shape what it molds

Lord this child
Is Yours alone
There’s none can part me hither
Sin or stone may accuse
Yet Yeshua’s death made wither
Render it all
Come and call
Up to where He sits the Victor

And harken me
A victory
For You to do more
I the less, for sure
Fill this cup
And teach it to share

For how can I, my Lord
Be well in accord
If my fellow man be so fallen?
None to blame
Just to claim
How Your love
Knows none unworthy

Lord these hands have more
This heart has more
These feet still move

Make the mind to the will
Obey Your voice instill
And give till all are filled ashore
Heavens hands have brought
To the gates of rot

Make me never end
In giving
Keeping no account
For theres no amount
To all that has been forgiven

Make these words
Grow hands
And feet move swift
Where the heart You hold is cast

Else all deed and rust
Be this child of dust
Find a wind so galed and driven

Bare me out among
Those You named a son
A daughter of Your heart
Through the dark
A Light was given

The dark is but a box
Where Light is hidden
For the seeker shall find
A but high and loftier mind
Than this world can ascertain
Thoughts not ours
Are the dowry You give
For the simple and mundane

Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah ❤
