The Truth has a Name ~ Part 1

April 16, 2013 at 3:01 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , )

1 John 2:21

It is not because you don’t know the truth that I have written to you, but because you do know it, and because no lie has its origin in the truth.

John 14:6 ~ Yeshua (Jesus) speaking…

Yeshua said, “I AM the Way – and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:15-18 ~ Yeshua speaking

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands; and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another comforting Counselor like Me, the Spirit of Truth, to be with you forever. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees nor knows Him. You know Him, because He is staying with you and will be united with you. I will not leave you as orphans – I am coming to you.

John 16:12-14 ~ Yeshua speaking…

“I still have many things to tell you, but you can not bear them now. However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on his own initiative but will say only what He hears. He will also announce to you the events of the future. He will glorify Me, because He will receive from what is Mine and announce it to you.”

It bothers me…
At Barns and Noble and other bookstores they put new age, Mormon, Muslim, Hindu, Jehovah’s Witness, and every other manner of “spiritual” things all in one section.

Right there with the books that say…”Yeshua (Jesus) is the only Way to the Father, the Truth, Life eternal.” It offends my spirit. Yours?
As if we as humans have manufactured and now mass market truth. Sadly, in a matter of speaking, we have. The mass market/manufacture of religion…but never Truth. There is nothing in truth as originality that has ever come from mankind. We didn’t even know we were liars till God told us not to!! But let us go back to where the evidence is unequivocal and undeniable.

In Exodus, where we find God giving us our first set of guidelines/instructions; we find 10 commandments. 1-9 manifest themselves outwardly, eventually. But number 10 gives us the first undeniable ability on our part that God sees the inside, where no one else may be able to see.

Exodus 20:17

Do not covet your neighbor’s house; do not covet your neighbors wife, his male or female slave, his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Most would not be able to see the difference between a person admiring verses coveting. Its typically invisible! It may become visible…but when the point of origin of covet happens…only the Truth can see it. And that’s where it counts. This is true of all the commands…the place where we begin to lie inside ourselves, well before we “send it out” into the visible world with our lips. We must first lie…inside to ourselves to disobey any of the commands! True too, if we keep the first one…all the rest stand assured to be kept. If you break it, the rest will follow.

The most difficulty anyone faces with any of the words above is when the finality of the truth must be spoken without any “softening”.
The Truth is a Person, God Himself, it ends and begins there alone…no exceptions.

So over the years, as prophesied by every writer/speaker of Truth, humans have tried to “integrate Truth” in with all the counterfeits. This is the spirit of the anti-christ we are warned about time and time again. We think our friends are “good” people so we attempt to “soften” the “blow”…rub it down a bit. We think…”oh, so-n-so seems to know Yeshua, professes Him, seems to love Him…I don’t need to be black and white about small stuff…that’s nagging”. Really? Does not every lie begin in some little tiny seemingly harmless or excusable way? Which lie is more devastating the small one that snowballs into a whole lifetime, or just the ones that seem to us to be worth mentioning?

I remember as I taught my kids to make their beds; we were doing the Right from Wrong series by Josh McDowell . One morning I did an unscheduled inspection. Bed one, top cover pulled over a rumpled mess – bed two, a little better but much the same. I remember thinking…”well they are trying and learning…perhaps I will let it slide…grace ya know.” The Spirit pressed in. “Don’t let it go.” So praise and thanks to the Truth, the lesson of “what’s seen that alludes that all is well but what’s underneath is what matters to the Truth” got taught. Not to my credit, as you can see above, I was gonna let it slide under the assumed name of grace. The Truth is not popular, and often sounds, feels, and is offensive and revealing.

It becomes more and more obvious to me that every lie big, small…no matter – takes the Lord’s Name in vain!

I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life“…

The Truth is a Person, and that Person is the God of ALL, Maker of Heaven and Earth! The God of my fathers, the God who Saves me, the God who is REAL! ALIVE! ACTIVE! DETAILED! Very very involved in His Creation, very attentive to His Children, their hearts, minds and all that concerns them. Hence He leads them into ALL Truth!

Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah ❤

I will never look at lying the same way again! Some of my favorite quotes:

Truth needs no one to believe it, er, Him, to remain the truth.
    Truth is eternal. Lies expire.
Those who believe truth is relative tend to believe it absolutely.

Great quotes Sherry!! Who said them??
Many blessings dear Sister in Yeshua…may He continue to bless and keep you 🙂

      • Sherry said,

Trust me, if I knew who said them they would have been noted. Its one of those things that gets lost over time since I’ve remembered them for 20+ years-back when truth was beginning to be taught as relevent in the public schools.

        • buttrflygrl14 said,

Well the Source of all Truth comes only from One :-)….so we’ll give Him the “credit”, eh? Yeshua bless you and keep you and continue to remind you of all He has said!:-)

Depends on how you look at the word ‘Truth’. Depends on what your beliefs are about time. Depends on what you believe your existence is. ‘Truth’ is you and each and every one of us and we each have our own understanding of it. Blessings to you for sharing your truth in this lovely blog.

    • buttrflygrl14 said,

Ahhh…I fear you are mislead Ishaiya. I am not Yeshua (Jesus), the Truth. If truth is subject to anyone’s opinion, then it is a flotsam of confusion. I/you or anyone can only KNOW the Truth (Yeshua), and be one with Him in His Spirit. But I myself have no truth apart from Him…nor does anyone else.
Your chosen method of thinking of the “truth” is popular but then so is the evidence…the glotsam of confusion. One must be willing to bend into the Truth that comes not from human invention. This is the choice you’ve been given in reading this post, this blog and the purpose of your life.
To clarify…none of these words belong to me, but the One I serve. I pray you continue to enjoy what you may find truthful here 🙂
Blessings and peace in Yeshua the Messiah…
