God I love how You never force Your Way in but leave an unforgettable and undeniable impression. The perfect balance is Yours alone, letting go with unfainting sureness in Your Way that there’s nothing to lose. It has etched itself. .. this sense of You on my mind and soul irrevocable! I love that once Truth has been learned it cannot be untethered from the heart its been sent to. True it either haunts it as it may try or it leaves the Lights impression; like looking at the Sun and closing your eyes. It’s presence stays unfading.

Glimpses Unveiled

March 25, 2014 at 2:32 am (Devotionals, Poems, Remodeling the Mind) (, , , , , , )

I see with eyes unlaced with sound
And hear with ears outlined profound
As fingers grasp the touch and feel
Of time and space unkept but real

A ticking motion of silent stay
A sunrises up on a distant day
Where moons and stars and planets play
In the Hands of Eternal songs array

Aloft upon the end of death
From whence came forth the first real breath
All likeness and reflections true
The boundless beauty of knowing You

The garden spread in unfathomable feast
And holy clothed both man and beast
All caught up and held in Love
Their counting beats born from Above

No need for wondering the countless things
That pulls together the vocal strings
Of worship played by by creations call
Encapsulated within the thrall

Every sense impregnated by Life
Separated from unknown strife
All dumb and naive to any pain
A Presence revealed by upside down rain

The force of down recounts the flight
Of leaps and bounds in Heaven’s night
Blinding clarity surrounds the Light
That holds both like lover’s in the heights

An intimate weave of breath and bone
The Unfettered Love that calls us Home
United finally drenched in Blood
Springs of Living Waters that flood

Down upon this anxious time
Of veiled but real and unstoppable truth
Full of leaps of Mighty faith as proof
The unaccountable Word set forth

Mysterious and crisp a dream never sleeps
Of the future glimpse the Timekeeper keeps
Beyond the limits of sight and sound
I stand upon Your Holy ground

Davids Legacy

Psalms 119:89-91
Your Word continues forever, Adonai, firmly fixed in heaven;
Your faithfulness through all generations;
You established the earth, and it stands.
Yes, it stands today, in keeping with Your rulings; for all things are Your servants.

O God
You are my God
And sincerely I seek You
With the Sun shining down on me
I am surrounded by the reminder of Your love
It is inescapable
Everything as far as my eyes can see
Is receiving Your love
Everything owes You praise
I praise Your great name!
Your character I will shout in joy
Your ways I applaud in wonder
Your power I tell all is consuming
Mighty are Your works
Even mightier still Your Words
Strength is born on the wings of Your communion
Father, Son, and Spirit You are one!
Intimately You attend all Your creation
Your Truth wraps it’s arms around all things
Your Grace protects the pulse force of Your hand
Your Mercy is treaded and woven throughout all times and seasons
Your Righteousness has won the “upper hand”
The beauty of Your labor produces offspring
The Wonder of Your deeds are spread all around
To a world that does not acknowledge You
I will shout a Mighty song of Your great love
Time will not diminish You
Nor can our blindness dim Your eyes
You watch diligently over everything
I praise and extol You God and King!
I thank You in weakened flesh
I thank You in the heart You renew
I praise the whole and complete presence of You
Your peace pervades and shines through
You are the intimate Friend of my being
Your presence is what the fight reveals
You are here
And I behold Your beauty
Your glory fills this place
Because of You my eyes are trained to see Your works
Because of Your grace my ears hear for the first time
Because You are faithful my soul knows it’s Maker
I can do nothing but praise because of You
I am nothing emptied of You
Fill me O God with Your wonder ever more
And I will tell of You!

Inside Intimacies

March 10, 2014 at 12:18 am (Devotionals, Poems, Prayers, Psalms, Thoughts to Ponder) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Oh Sweet Yeshua
Guardian of my being
I invited You in
And saw my sin
And that’s where You began

Hovering ever faithful
Over my soul now clean
Guarding, leading, guiding
And everything inbetween

Each foot stands upon a veil now torn
Bridging a gap so wide
Your blood leading to a Father
With You guaranteed by my side

Each hand holding back the waters
Of sin and death like the Sea
Calling my name, erasing my shame
As I walk on dry ground now free

Oh how, my Great Messiah
Can I express my gratitude from this grave
Dying to so much of me each day
Yet knowing I am saved

Oh Rescuer of condemned and dismayed
You dive into the depths
You breathe it’s waters and exhale new life
And cancel all the debts

Redeemer, Restorer, Relinguisher
Refiner of dust and clay
Resecitating the decayed
Reshaping what You made
Renaming, Reclaiming and Declaring…
Freedom for failure!!
Shocking every fiber of my being

Reweaving the threads from dust to diamonds
Born from every tear
From Your eyes and mine and infinite eyes reflecting Your image
Time before, time gone
A legacy of wretched redemption!
Agony remade
Delusions dispatched to holy repentance

Heaven’s language is the only foreign thing on earth
Yet it’s dust remembers and won’t forget
And so we must learn or die trying not to.
What irony and beauty becomes You!

Oh Sweet and Terrible Truth
Unwavering and Relentless You are!
I am just a little reflection
A flashing twinkle in Your Star
But Yours dear God
Forever Yours
I count on You alone to make that true
Yours right now and Yours when You’re through

Sweet Yeshua
Holy God
Unfathomable Spirit of Life and Truth pointing The Way
Father, Abba
I am Your Child
Here a lump of clay
In Your Hands – a Beloved
Your commitment to us astounds me!
Surrounding me like arresting forces
I surrender and know I am free

I love squirrel watching in the morning. (I always have nuts handy to feed)

I guess you could say I like to nature watch, really. To go outside first thing and connect with the only thing living that answers to exactly what God either designed it to do by instinct or answers to His heed with undelayed obedience. The sky, wind, clouds. Teaching my eyes to see what waiting without complaint looks like. The trees, shrubs, and grasses that wait for water. Or for the drying of the Sun. The ground that knows it’s useful without any evidence necessary…waiting for the show of its slow and unappreciated nurture. The birds and squirrels play then eat then forage then fight then play then rest then eat. .. repeat. It’s their work. Living. Just living. Yet all unique and with personalities intricate and unashamed. The creatures of the morning don’t compare themselves to each other. I’ve often been tempted to think they know a thing or two about jealousy. Fighting over who sits by the pile of nuts and who has to dash in and evade the “pile master”. To us its cute to assign human characteristics to animals. Disney would be out of business if people didn’t have a driving need to understand things only as we understand them. But if you look. .. and listen to their Creator tell you about them; you see its a grave identity error.

I come away with a heavy heart at times at how we as humans don’t think we can “relate” without making everything like us. It limits the souls ability to really know what relating is. It’s why all the “match-making” companies have succeeded. Note: I said the companies succeed NOT the matches! Some do, but not because of the company (or method) they used to come together. We are bent to find common ground. Deluded by the concept that simular thinking guarantees longevity. Perhaps in nature but not in human relationships. (Iron sharpens iron…so one person sharpens another)  One operates without choice by the program that has been assigned to it. We do not. Everyday, every hour of every minute we have the ability to decide our programming is wrong and invent a new one. Or rather our Programmer is wrong. Most walk through life never having the slightest desire to know the Who behind our existence. And hence the who we are. The earth and it’s creatures of instinct don’t have a choice. We do. It’s a gift and a curse.

So I wake up and introduce my senses and mind to the world devoid of human likeness to set the pace for the day. To remember that when I encounter another person to really look at them as if I’ve never seen “a them” before. Tuning my ears to listen to the Who who made them. Just like with the squirrels and birds and earth and sky. Learning not to place my likeness on anything but to train my mind to go immediately to the true Likeness by which they were made for the what, how, why, where and when of each thing I encounter in each moment as it comes. The squirrels are master’s at living in the moment. All creatures of instinct are. I envy them this ability.
They are never counting down minutes to a future moment. Biding their time. They are never “clocked in” and waiting to “clock out”. They just LIVE each minute without any concept of the next or their last. What freedom!

My human perspective runs to Abba and asks Him. ..
“How can I do this Lord? The whole world exist to beat the Clock, get off work, wish for more time, look forward to an event, a vacation, a time outside the moment we are in. It seems almost impossible for human beings to only take each minute into consideration like these creatures do.”

His answer?
“Nothing is impossible with Me! The key to staying in the moment isn’t in focusing on staying in the moment. It’s in staying with Me.”

Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…and all these things shall be added unto you.

My response?
“Teach me!”

And He is. You’ll not find a class or seminar or school or program that can teach this anywhere in the human kingdom. It’s only at His feet, like Mary, forsaking time and human custom to learn how to LIVE!
