Internal Action = Build External Muscle

Matthew 7:24

So, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on Bedrock.

‘Actions speak louder than words.’ We’ve all heard these words. May I clarify one exception? No action by anyone will ever speak louder than Yeshua’s (Jesus’) Words. Because no other words have ever been spoken that are the cause and root of any and all significant and eternal action, but His. His words move into the glorious gut of a hearer and they take action. Either to open or close. Clean or clutter. Break down or build up. Hence the reason Adonai said, “so is My Word that goes out of My Mouth – it will not return to Me unfulfilled; but it will accomplish what I intend, and cause to succeed what I sent it to do. ” (Isaiah 55:11)
Yeshua’s words are the definition of action. The Creators words brought forth Light, Life. .. the DNA of action comes from His mouth!

Many read the opening scripture and immediately conjure the image in their minds of actions that are exterior; that one does that brushes up against the external world they live in. Such as; feeding the poor or praying for a sick person or doing something kind like fixing a meal for a grieving family. All of which are indeed righteous actions, but these are not the actions that build the foundations of the soul-house being spoken of here in Matthew. Let’s look where the first and most important actions happen.

Matthew 6:18

… Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 6:14

For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;

Matthew 6:25

Therefore, I tell you, don’t worry about your life. ..

Matthew 7:1

Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.

Each of these actions are done inside where the only perception of movement can be seen by God alone, who can give us the ability to see it in ourselves. Motives, intentions, decisions, thoughts. .. these are the preschool and kindergarten grounds of all actions. This is where we learn hear His voice and take the most meaningful steps of action in our walk with Him. Often His voice tells us to simply stop doing something. It calls for a cessation of action rather than a movement forward.

Matthew 14:27

But at once Yeshua spoke to them, “Courage,” He said, “it is I. Stop being afraid. ”

It’s at the internal heart we hear Him call us to action first. The nudge to stop watching a show that dishonors Him. Stop thinking about others in hurtful, judging, critical ways. Stop thinking of ourselves in such ways. Stop holding on to the hurt that others have caused us in a defensive manner. “Stop” lying. “Stop” cheating. “Stop” yelling and screaming. “Stop” fretting and conjuring up what hasn’t happened yet. “Stop” living with a boyfriend or girlfriend in sin. “Stop” being revengeful. “Stop” wishing hurtful things for hurtful people. All these”stops” are done in that secret place where we are called to cease, be still and know He is God. Where “stops” become “starts” in action. I.E. from praying God pay someone back to praying God forgive them. From lying to truth telling inside where lies begin. From snapping back to turning the other cheek. These “stops” are actions that speak volumes. .. but the “readers” are but ourselves and our Creator. From such actions come more actions of like manner which indeed lead to our hands doing a task for another. Poor get fed only because the spirit inside met with its Maker and fed from His hand in action “behind the scenes” if you will. These hands give a lasting action-taker. We all know anyone can serve a plate to a person who has no food. But. .. only the Spirit of God gives the mind inside the body the desire to do so. Outward or external actions of any kind of good come from Adonai. And He can cause anyone anywhere to do anything. Yet see how there’s a difference between God using a person and living in them. Where one goes from feeding the poor because they want to be a “good person” to feeding the poor simply because He asked you to. He can, will and always has used everyone He has created. The Truth being taught in the Sermon on the Mount, which ends in Matthew 7 verses 24-27 is. .. not everyone will live in Him. .. the Author of action.
