Eternally…and Infinitely the best quote ever!
After all the commentary…extrapolation…songs written…poem’s penned. After every word is, was, and will be said…every Word Yeshua (Jesus) said will have been the Best.
I can only think of one thing that ranks up with the above…
As to the quote at the top…the worst thing one could think is. ..”Yes, He did what He set out to do”. If it gets reduced to that – one has missed every Word Yeshua said. Therefore is missing the key to following Him.
“It is finished. ..”
Those Words were spoken in intimate conversation between a Father who sent His Son. It was a relational whisper of total surrender. .. it was pure obedience. .. not goal setting, not strap pulling, setting ones mind to their goal. (This is human reasoning) But a bending every ounce of His humanity to His Father’s will. .. all the way to His last Breath. Trusting the Father. .. that whether He breathed again or never did again fill His lungs that the Father knew His best, the best and would wait for nothing else but His “Well done. ” That just like all those before Him, He took the Father at His Word; that the Promise was true. .. that every rainbow would always tell the truth! Adonai, Elohim, God… keeps His promises!
Yeshua exampled exactly what He asked us to do by asking us to ‘Follow Him’. All the way. .. without one falter. So that in every falter in every follower after; the only thing the Father hears is. ..”It is finished. ” the only thing the Father sees is Him. That is why those Words are the best quote even before the second one posted here. Without the former. .. the latter would never have been true. Those Words fulfilled every Word before and all that would come after. .. forever. I believe in Hebrew He did actually say. ..”It is fulfilled.” “It” – being the Father’s will. ..a heart, a Being of pure Love… that never intended to let His creation go.
Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah
