Quote Note

~~~George MacDonald is one of my favorite all time Authors. He wrote fiction and was the first to dive into the deep waters (dangerous and considered, at the time he wrote, almost heretical) of fanasty Christian fiction. Indeed he was the inspiration of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis with Lord of the Rings and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe trilogies. C.S. Lewis credits George as the means by which God reached him and has written a book of nothing but quotes by MacDonald. If Yeshua has come down and given His commentary to all the Word of God, it would have been to George MacDonald (and may well have been). The scripturally sound resonance within all his work is astounding to me. The wisdom that thrumbs like Yahwehs own heart beat can be seen pulsating with Life in all his work. Oh, he was a man, with faults and error as we all are, and I have disagreed with a wee bit of what I’ve read by him. But honestly, so little it’s hard not to think there should be a MacDonald book next to everyone’s bed that says they follow the Way (Yeshua). This is why these quotes are not in the series. ..Those Who Answered the Call, “Come Follow Me”
The single post would simply be too long to post much less read inside an hour! Hence why I have dedicated all the quotes for January to his. Let me be honest, I won’t even scratch the surface of all of them. I could indeed quote him all year and still have more. I have already “met” George MacDonald in his books, but I’m so looking forward to meeting him face to face! I believe I will find him sitting right at the foot of Yeshua (Jesus), next to Mary or perhaps in a minyan with Saul, John, Moshe, Elijiah, Samuel, Daniel, Ezekial, David and Job to name a few. Likely he’ll be about with the Rauch (Holy Spirit) playing and writing in holy imagination! I go on about him because he’s worth going on about. If you have never read any of his fictional work you have never read the kind of fiction that falls away from this world and enters into the very kingdom of God! His Unspoken Sermons are so rich and full of “meat” you’ll have no choice but to stop and try to digest what you read every two or three minutes – and that’s if you’re a quick reader like myself. He is one of those authors that have been applauded at every turn yet his work is rare and hard to find. Which I find a neon sign for Truth. It must be sought out, and having done so you are set free.
