I love that God saw fit to teach things that through time science has backed up His teaching. I hate that the same science has found a way to remove Him from the source of Truth.

Here’s proof:

Psalms 97:4

His flashes of lightning light up the world; the earth sees it and trembles.

Psalms 77:16-18

The water saw You, God; the water saw You and writhed in anguish, agitated to its depths. The clouds poured water, the skies thundered, and Your arrows flashed here and there. The sound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind, the lightning flashes lit up the world, the earth trembled and shook.

Jeremiah 10:11-13

This is what you must say to them: ‘The gods that did not make heaven and earth will perish from earth and from under heaven.'” God made the earth by His power, established the world by His wisdom, spread out the sky by His understanding. When He thunders the waters in heaven roar, He raises clouds from the ends of the earth, He makes lightning flash in the rain and brings the wind from His storehouses.

Job 37:2-4

Just listen to the rumbling of His Voice, to the thunder that comes from His mouth! He sends it out under all of heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth. There follows a sound, a roar – He is thundering with His majestic Voice, and He keeps releasing the lightning even while His Voice is being heard.

Job 37:11-13

He weighs the clouds down with moisture, and they flash forth His lightning. He, by His plans, turns them around, so they do what He commands them anywhere on earth; He brings them forth on the earth sometimes to punish, sometimes to express His grace.

I’m always so worshipful of Him! That before scientific endeavors, He explains all things. That even though the scientific math and equations are missing from His explanation – what really matters – He reveals and it’s enough.

Are you looking for how God has explained the things man takes credit for having discovered and proven? It’s quite helpful to those whom you may be planting seeds, watering and exposing to the Son! Someone once told me, “it’s hard to argue when you say “God said.” This is true. It’s even harder to argue when you can show how you are only repeating what God has said, Himself.

Job 38:22-27 – God speaking to Job out of storm.

Have you gone into the storehouses for snow or seen the storehouses for hail, which I save for times of trouble, for days of war and battle? By what path is light dispersed, or the east wind poured in the land? Who cut a channel for the downpours, or a way for the lightning and thunder, causing it to rain where no one is, in a desert without anyone there, drenching the waste and desolate ground, till the tender grass sprouts?

I think it’s interesting how most references to weather related things in the Word of God, are connected to His Voice and battle.

I wasn’t born into a scholarly home, my folks were hard working, Bible believing, people. They didn’t drill religion, they just believed what they read in His Word. They encouraged me to read it, both by spoken word and by example. I watched them read it all my life. Not because they were in distress or crisis, but at all times, everyday most the time. When I was young we would go to Fairplay Colorado where we had a small family cabin amongst one of  the wonders of the world of Aspen trees. When we would take hikes they simply gave God the glory and credit for the things we’d see. It was in their speech, because they believed what He said. There would be incredible thunder storms up there at almost 10,000 feet! As a child I would get scared. They comforted me by assuring me that the same God who put the bush on the mountain that held the eggs of the robin we’d seen that day, was in charge of the lightning and thunder and rain. That, yes, He was mighty and powerful, but He cares for His creatures with tenderness. That the thunder was Him talking to the earth. Though I felt often still scared, and thought perhaps the earth was is trouble and being scolded, it still comforted me to know it was God flashing and calling out in the storm. I grew out of my fear, now I long to hear Him thunder from Heaven, having learned that He’s not talking to the earth, but telling His enemies to stand down! Reminding them He is still watching and taking account! Warning them, that one day these little spurts of storms will become a last and final one to their undoing!

The real truth to know about lightning and thunder has little to do with what this world thinks it does.

✡I pray this encourages you to search for Him in all things. To discover that The One True God who created everything, really does say something about everything, and it reveals a Creator that did so for much better reasons than science and technology. He didn’t and doesn’t need any formula to make anything, yet He gave one to each created thing. May we worship Him who created all things, not worship the things He made! Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah! ✡

Adonai’s Word for Today

May 2, 2017 at 1:03 pm (Remodeling the Mind, Thoughts to Ponder) (, )

Isaiah 30:18-21

Yet Adonai is just waiting to show you favor, He will have pity from on high; for Adonai is a God of justice; happy are all who wait for Him! People in Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. At the sound of your cry, He will show you His grace; on hearing it, He will answer you. Though Adonai may give you but bread and water, and not much of that; your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but with your own eyes you will see your Teacher. With your ears you will hear a Word from behind you: “This is the Way; stay in it, whether you go to the right or the left. ”

Escape Artist

March 2, 2017 at 5:51 am (Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Matthew 24:3; 13; 42-46

When He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, His talmidim (disciples) came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that You are coming, and that the ‘olam hazeh (this age) is ending?”

But whoever holds out till the end will be delivered.

So stay alert, because you don’t know the hour your Lord will come. But you do know this: had the owner of the house known a thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore, you too must always be ready, for the Son of Man will come when you’re not expecting Him. Who is the faithful and sensible servant whose master puts him in charge of the household staff, to give them their food at the proper time? It will go well with that servant if he is found doing his job when his master comes.

It seems that people fixate on the day of the rapture today like they fixated on signs in the days of Yeshua.

I’m sure there are and were then those who truly desired to serve and know the Lord within these fixations. But for most, it’s a form of escapism.

How can we avoid…we don’t want to suffer…show us how to become immune…what can we look for to know our time is up…I’m tired of being here…

The Scripture above shows a rather stark picture for escape artist. To escape from something indicates that one must be imprisoned or trapped. Hence the need at this point to ask oneself, “Have I been freed?” If we read Psalms 34 in its entirety we see a totally different picture of one who is called by God and waiting for His return. All the signs depended on, are already given, our relational progression and walk with Him, right where we’re at, at the present time. The hope held onto for a time we don’t know (exactly, though the timing we do) but have been promised.

In fact the only form of escape that comes close to being freed from a trap in scripture; is from the enemy. (Save one, though it’s misinterpreted, I’ll get to that one later)

1 Corinthians 10:13; 2 Peter 1:4; 2 Timothy 2:26; Ezekiel 7:16; 2 Peter 2:20;

Matthew 6:13

And do not lead us into hard testing, but keep us safe from the evil one. For Kingship, power, and glory are Yours forever. Amen.

The above scripture is the closest Yeshua (Jesus) ever comes to such a line of thought.  Not exactly escape as some have in mind but it runs more parallel with the idea. He doesn’t say, “let us never have testing, and never face the evil one.”  So here, is not find such an endorsement to escapism.

The testing of our trust is how it grows, we’ll all deal with this or we won’t grow. As for the evil one, no one, including Yeshua Himself, escapes encounters with him. To be protected is far different than to be written a pass to get out of it. How do we discern evil from good if we never encounter evil? How does one know what they are saved from if they don’t feel the effects of evil? Escape is not an alternative.

Going back up to the first scriptures, fellow-sheep, notice the last sentence? We have work to do, work that we are to have as a natural response to our unity with the Lord, to be passionate and full of zeal to accomplish. Not this tapping of fingers type illusion of waiting. Looking around at all that evil out there and wondering when God’s going to smash the smithereens outta those evil people. No, instead we are quick to thank the Lord for His patience as we are still in no clean condition to meet Him for the Bridal supper He has prepared for those who endure to the end. Our else we’d be there, right now!

Let’s look at some more scripture.

2 Peter 3:11-15

Since everything is going to be destroyed like this, what kind of people should you be? You should live holy and godly lives, as you wait for the Day of God and WORK TO HASTEN IT’S COMING. That Day will bring on the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt from the heat; but we, following along with His Promise, WAIT for new heavens and a new Earth, in which righteousness will be at home. Therefore, dear friends, as you look for these things, do everything you can to be found by Him without spot or defect and AT PEACE. And think of our Lord’s patience as deliverance, just as our dear brother Sha’ul (Paul) wrote you, following the wisdom God gave him.

So, we see here, that instead of being the kind that keep looking at the clock in order to “clock out”. We are instead to be looking at the clock as if those minutes are going too fast for there are more souls that need to be served in honor of Him, whose mission at His heart was to save the lost! And all of us have not exhausted the clock in search of Him to know Him more!

Romans 13:11-12

Besides all this, you know at what point of history we stand, so it is high time for you to rouse yourselves from sleep: for the final deliverance is nearer than when we first came to trust. The night is almost over, the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and arm ourselves with the weapons of light.

This scripture says get ready, war is upon us! Not pack your bags, it’s about to get tuff, we’re outta here! If this indeed be our heart, then we can have no part in the One who knelt down to wash the feet of those He sends, as an example of how we are to see our time here.

2 Timothy 2:3

Accept your share in suffering disgrace as a good soldier of the Messiah Yeshua.

Hebrews 10:35-39; 12:25

So don’t throw away that courage of yours, which carries with it such a great reward. For you need to hold out; so that, by having done what God wills, you may receive what He has promised. For,

There is so little time! The One coming will indeed come, He will not delay. But the person who is righteous will live his life by trusting, and if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. (Habakkuk 2:3-4)

However, we are not the kind who shrink back and are destroyed; on the contrary we keep trusting, and thus preserve our lives!

See that you don’t reject the One speaking! For if those did not escape who rejected Him when He gave divine warning on earth, think how much less we will escape if we turn away from Him when He warns from Heaven.

Philippians 4:7-9

Rejoice in union with the Lord always! I will say it again: rejoice! Let everyone see how reasonable and gentle you are. The Lord is near! Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your request known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then God’s shalom (peace) passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and mind safe in union with Messiah Yeshua. In conclusion, brothers, focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, loveable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praise worthy. Keep doing what you have learned and received from me, what you have heard and seen me doing; then the God who gives shalom will be with you.

1 Corinthians 1:8

He will enable you to hold out until the end and thus be blameless on the Day of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Revelation 2:10; 12:11

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the adversary is going to have some of you thrown in prison, in order to put you to the test; and you will face an ordeal for ten days. Remain faithful, even to the point of death; and I will give you life as your crown.

They defeated him because of the Lambs blood and because of the measure of their witness. Even when facing death they did not cling to life.

Now I’ll bring up that scripture I spoke of earlier.

Luke 21:34-36

But keep watch on yourselves, or your hearts will become dulled by carousing, drunkenness and the worries of everyday living, and the Day will be sprung upon you suddenly like trap!  For it will close in on everyone, no matter where they live, throughout the whole world. Stay alert, always praying that you will have the strength to escape all the things that will happen and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.

This scripture is endlessly used as a defense for the whole trapped/ escape mentality. But let’s look closely at what it really says. Those who say they are saved but are still practicing the unsaved life will be trapped, not those who are working with God to hasten the Day of the Lord! And the word escape in verse 36 is not used in the context of “stop the world Lord I want off!” Look closely, it starts by saying…STAY ALERT, this same feeling is behind Yeshua when in the garden before His arrest, He kept going back to His disciples, asking them to wake and pray. The escape being taught here is the deception that we are and will be subjected to in the last days. Also the apathy and lethargy that will come from running out of patience, thinking it is time for God to do His thing! Why would we need to pray for strength if the escape here meant the rapture? God in His strength will do that, no strength on our part will hasten or help Him gather His people at the appointed time of His coming. Every time we are told to stay alert/pray for strength it’s to endure, persevere, hold out, keep going.

We do know that there are things Adonai intends to keep His Bride from experiencing, but the severity of all of this time period is not in keeping with His history from Genesis to Revelation. Our testing, refining by fire, come through great oppression. Never has God kept us from learning the lessons of depravity. Then applying those lessons to perseverance then to character that leads to letting go of selfish wants to escape and instead changing our hearts to reach out and enter into the service of snatching those that are lost and witnessing and tending the wounds as we wait, trust and believe…in the darkest hour…He will come! Just ask any survivor of the Holocaust. Ask those who stood as Titus wrecked the 2nd temple, trapping and starving those in the city to the point that they ate their own children! (70 AD, after Yeshua had died and ascended).

The hour, dear brothers and sisters will be very dark this time as well, we will rend our garments and our knees will be bloody from the posture of prayer and kneeling of service to His sheep. But we will know to be looking “up”, we will know that His coming is nigh, and with our hearts fully turned upon Him we will wait patiently that all may know Him! The signs are already neon and blinking all around us, we don’t need more, nor do we need to fixate on the day He will come. This day won’t take us by surprise, only those who don’t know what it means to tend His estate, feed His sheep, keep our lamps full of His oil…(these will not be trapped and looking for a way of escape.) Those who do not will. Until then we are to teach and encourage these things He’s so graciously given us as directions to guide us through some very hard times. Sticking to His plan not trying to get Him to see the wisdom of ours!

Don’t be an escape artist! Be the artist of His shalom! HIS LIGHT! Encourage! Lift up and help each other prepare for the times ahead, praying unceasingly and holding out the hope that is real – He’s coming! Coming soon! May we be found working, and holding tight to the fringes of His tallith until then!

Go with God!

🕎 Grace and peace be yours in abundance in union with our Messiah Yeshua 🔯 King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Amen 🕯

What if I’m Wrong?

January 24, 2017 at 9:33 pm (Remodeling the Mind, Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes)

Everyone it seems is quick to stand proud on the sense that they are right, especially about issues that have no origin in human opinion. There is more wisdom in weighing the consequences of being wrong than standing on being right. How does one question if they are wrong without being cast in the light of being insecure?

Good question. The following is an inner dialog, you decide.

If the Bible be true and I throw myself to live by it; then these will be the results. Life turns into an affair of forgiveness. Loving – really loving people. Giving more than I think I can. Pursuing kindness, compassion, peace, watching my speech change for nothing but encouragement and integrity instead of gossip, slander, complaint, and blaming. Finding balance in the flaws in myself and in others as seen through the eyes of God. Repentance being a worthy turn around, called victory. Honesty as the true prize. And wisdom given from God life saving. The pursuit of which is to find that God loves and desires to be known to me. Waiting at all times for this opportunity like lungs wait for air. Incomprehensible contentment no circumstances can steal. An alleviation of nerves because every day nothing depends on me, only Him, and He is able. Knowing that He will make me better than I could try to be on my own but make sure I don’t grow a huge noggin in the process. Only love as the possibility!

Yet, if the Bible be untrue…

Then I can do whatever I want. I can be all about me but try to be kind. I can use people and call it love. I can encourage to faces and still bring down behind their backs. I can choose what causes to take up. I can point the finger of blame and still call it standing for good while in effect I don’t have to do anything. I can murder a child since I get to define when life is life. I am free to kill, steal, cheat, covet and be sexually divergent with no need for conscience. I can expect the world of all things and people yet set a different standard for myself. I can hate and make it seem okay because I’m human and it’s just a feeling. I can turn my back when I’m uncomfortable. I can seem a courageous person by doing cowardly things. Money and power can define happiness. Death is avoided no matter the cost. The possibilities end when I stop breathing.

Everyone, no matter their religion or lack thereof, says to be “good person” is the goal. It’s a crazy line of thought when taken through all the possibilities. Those pointing at Christians for being judgmental (and some are); are in effect judging them. Hypocrisy! Everyone is and gets judgmental, there is no exception religion or not. Every evil propensity known to man resides as a possibility in everyone. Christians, Buddhist, Catholics, Muslim, Mormon, Atheist, Agnostic, Satanist – American, German, French, Australian, Japanese…name them all there’s no exclusion. These all hate, murder, curse, are lazy, irresponsible, resentful, rebellious, self absorbed, self righteous; again the list goes on to the extent of the worst humanity can be. Those same people, races and creeds are capable of all the best God made humans capable of.

I thought after my research of all religions : “What if this is right?”. What’s the risk? All religions had a peaceable aspect. Yet they all end in ‘what I get if I do’. Virgins, places of honor, reincarnation (a chance to be rich or pretty or whatever the next time). Eternal life based in the concept of what life is, based on the here and now. Whoopee!

If the Bible is right. The goal isn’t about me. The reward is to become part of the expanses God has made without limits! And He made everything! To be the best of what He made in humanity but also far beyond that. The limit only He could set and His is limitless. I risk nothing to live as He dictates, both here and now and eternally; I move towards nothing but good. He shows all things as a Father exploring and sharing the wilderness with His child. I will never feel inclined to the worst and ugliest things we are capable of again when He calls me home. Only love, kindness, patience, putting others ahead of myself, generosity on steroids, hope beyond comprehension, rejoicing only as others advance. No pouting, complaining, ungratefulness, or resentment.

Then I think, “what in the world can be wrong with these things?” Both now and later the appeal is far greater. Those who think it’s boring to live such ways have only experienced the illusionary excitement of wrong doing. If they are honest they know it’s like a drug, it never last, so more wrong doing is required to keep up the illusion. Doing good and living selflessly is rewarding beyond words. The best part though is the One True God who set out to be known – is known ! He talks to you and the world of sin and ugliness disappears! He laughs with you, cries with you and makes His whole being available to you! God does! God! Does! It’s fantastic!

So the question, “what if I’m wrong” is pivotal. What if I’m wrong and abortion isn’t murder? Then here and now I can be a mass murderer and society will feel sorry for me and the law will back me up.

What if I’m wrong and abortion is murder? Hmmm, then I guess I’ll either have many children along with my sexual exploits or I’ll refrain from that. I suppose I could take “birth control” and run the risk of never having children when it’s convenient for me. Yet then if it’s murder to kill a baby, what standard do I measure that by? Can I stop there and simply accept abortion is wrong and not follow every precept that same standard sets for all things? I mean if I’m going to be true and take things all the way to their smallest point, how can I stop there? Simply choosing for myself what I think I like and don’t only permits me to compromise when I’m weak. I’m pretty sure terrorist define their “good” the same as everyone else. Why should anyone be deprived of defining “good” however they want if I’m going to? The fact is historically and scientifically proven: the Bible is the oldest book in the world, even those who don’t believe or read it still think “good” is defined by its standards.

Murder, stealing, lying = bad. Charity, loving, honesty = good.

It seems this taking from the Bible to suit the fancy of one’s definitions is a historical landmark no matter how one looks at it! What is wrong defined as? And right? Then take the search back to its origin – there resides the Truth.

Too long life has been defined by “don’t doubt yourself”! What a wretched and answerless path! Doubt yourself first, really seek out the answers; then doubt will lead you Home!
