So the eleven talmidim (disciples) went to the hill in the Galil where Yeshua (Jesus) had told them to go. When they saw Him, they prostrated themselves before Him; but some hesitated. Yeshua came and talked with them. He said, “All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim (disciples), immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”
The seventy came back jubilant. “Lord”, they said, “with Your Power, even the demons submit to us!” Yeshua said to them, ” I saw satan fall like lightning from Heaven. Remember, I have given you Authority; so you can trample down snakes and scorpions, indeed, all the enemy’s forces; and you will remain completely unharmed. Nevertheless, don’t be glad that the spirits submit to you; be glad that your names have been recorded in heaven.”
The most important thing to being awakened is getting to know Yeshua the Messiah, first and foremost! The next priority is to know what it means to have been reborn through Him into the Kingdom that is more real and more important than the one we were born into as wee babes from our mothers wombs.
Think not, for one second, that Yeshua wasn’t familiar with our temptations to be distracted by a very distracting world. Full of not just evil, but the goodness of God too.
Therefore, since we have a Great Cohen Gadol (High Priest) who has passed through to the highest heaven, Yeshua, the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we acknowledge as true. For we do not have a Cohen Gadol unable to empathize with our weaknesses; since IN EVERY RESPECT HE WAS TEMPTED JUST AS WE ARE, the only difference being that He did not sin. Therefore, let us confidently approach the throne from which God gives grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need.
Fictionally, one could guess, that it went through His mind…
“Father, would it be so bad to remain Your faithful servant as a carpenter with Yoseph? It’s good work, with many opportunities to do Your work.”
“Father, look how Havah from the house of Samuel worships and serves You. I wonder, dear Father, what it would be like to have a wife and children such as You have made it to be?”
“Father, look, look how much You are needed here! So many blind, so many deaf, so many lost, would more time not be good?”
Of course, it’s hard to speculate such things. Yeshua has a stigma that makes such speculations feel almost blasphemous! But, I digress to the truth of Hebrews 4. I don’t think it’s possible to speculate that He was tempted to evil. But tempted to do things different than His Father in heaven desired, exactly, yes, I think it’s more than possible. Why?
He (Yeshua) went about a stones throw away from them, kneeled down and prayed, “Father, if You are willing, take this cup away from Me; still, not My will but Yours be done.” There appeared to Him an angel from Heaven giving Him strength, and in great anguish He prayed more intensely, so that His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
Look at that verse very closely, really read it. Most people skip the most important part, emphasizing only His willingness to yield to God. Which is highly important, mind you, I agree. But let’s really look at the angel part, this angel comes to strengthen Him, God knew the temptation here needed extra attention, His compassion poured down onto our Saviour here. Yet, look! Yeshua prayed more intensely to the point of sweating like drops of blood – after – the angel came. I don’t know about you, but often when I’m at a yielding point, the strength God sends to keep me headed in His direction comes with a fight. Head knowledge alone, of the right thing to do, is not the key. It’s fighting the feelings, emotions and sometimes very physical nature to run the opposite way! So here we can see that Yeshua knows this as we do! Sometimes it’s hard to understand why it was God’s will that Yeshua not sin, and that He moved heaven and earth to keep that from happening, when it would seem that it’s God’s will that we sin. It doesn’t seem fair.
For those of us who understand the very nature of God’s plan through Yeshua from the beginning of time I need not break this down for you. For those of you who are stuck on this part of God and His nature and plan, may I suggest you study from the beginning (Genesis) asking Him, Himself to reveal to you the difference between us and Yeshua. This is the only way you will know for sure. There are hundreds of teachings on it, yes, but true knowing comes from our own “bloody searching” and I’m not being British in the pun. There’s a searching that this world teaches, it’s rather limp and easy to quit. The searching required to really know the free-setting-truth, is a lifetime commitment. As in you take your last breath looking. It does not take that long, but I’m driving this home to show the difference between a curious seeker, and a driven desire for God alone. This is why there are few who find the narrow path. As I said, this world, is distracting and can be very convincing, that it’s ways can seem so trustworthy. To be awake, we must abandon the thought that this world’s ways have any value whatsoever. To say that this is hard to do is an understatement. Yet, the rewards of having persevered to this goal is, at this moment in time, beyond telling. To get to the Kingdom where no desire to sin, no desire for anything but God’s will is the total existence of man kind, this is the Promise that God has kept in Yeshua, with Yeshua, for us. This is the fellowship of Following Yeshua. Yes, we sin less and less, here and now, as we learn from Him, listen to and obey Him, and do the work He did/does until the Day comes when God – The Almighty and The Power of ALL, says “Enough!” to an enemy who defied Him long long ago, and set out to make of us “little defiler’s” along with him. Misery loves company.
There is a very real and very significant authority we begin to exercise once Yeshua is Master and Lord of our lives. If we look around, and into the past, we find that the authority Yeshua spoke of in Luke 10, has obviously not been something many have understood. I’m learning. To be awake, and help others in the same way, we must learn what this means. What could be more important for us to dive into to study at such a time where the Great deception is in effect and it seems that the whole world is held in the grip of that power? How do we begin to understand the following scriptures if we don’t fully lay hold of the authority Yeshua gives us?
“I have said these things to you so that, united with Me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have tsuris (troubles). But be brave! I have conquered the world!”
1 John 4:4-6
You, children, are from God and have overcome the false prophets, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore, they speak from the world’s viewpoint; and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God doesn’t listen to us. This is how we distinguish the Spirit of Truth from the spirit of error.
1 John 5:3-5
For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome, because everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our Trust. Who does overcome the world if not the person who believes that Yeshua is the Son of God?
(There’s more: Look them up😉. Romans 8:31-37; 1 Corinthians 15:57-58; 1 John 2:13)
At a critical hour one must be able to understand their resources, how they are obtained and the limit or limitlessness of them. We are at the critical hour, our resource is Yeshua, how He is understood and the limitlessness of all He is to us is of great importance!
✡ To the One who can keep us from falling and set us without defect and full of joy in the presence of His manifest Glory of God present with man – to God alone, our Deliverer, through Yeshua the Messiah, our Lord – be glory, Majesty, power and Authority before all time, now and forever more. Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah! ✡
When Yeshua (Jesus) had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at the Way He taught, for He was not instructing them like their Torah-teachers but as One who had authority Himself.
They were amazed at the Way He taught, because His Words carried the ring of authority.
At this, they tried to arrest Him; but no one laid a hand on Him; because His time had not yet come. However, many in the crowd put their trust in Him and said, “When the Messiah comes, will he do more than this Man has done?”
The P’rushim (pharasee’s) heard the crowd whispering these things about Yeshua; so the head cohanim (high priest) and the P’rushim sent some of the temple guards to arrest Him.
Yes, indeed, I tell you that whoever trusts in Me will also do the works I do! Indeed, he will do greater ones, because I am going to the Father.
Is it possible to speak with authority and the Word of God woven in and around every word you say; without quoting a scripture word for word?
Yeshua’s every Word was exactly that. Though He did quote a scripture at times. Every single Word He said can be found in the Old Testament (the only scripture at the time He was here).
The apostle Paul (Saul-his name was never changed officially to Paul – Paul is the greek pronunciation of Saul) did. Try to find word for word the Old Testament saying “I do the things I don’t want to do and the very thing I want to do I can not do!” There is an Old Testament rendition of these words: do you know where to find them?
When one speaks up for God, at His direction, we are to make sure it lines up with scripture starting in the Old Testament and following it straight through to Yeshua’s Words we now enjoy as the New. Not necessarily the disciples or those that followed. Wait! Don’t close this post just yet. Follow me here a moment, using the Spirit of Yahweh as your guide. I am not devaluing the disciples or apostles words! I am only saying the buck stops at Yeshua because in the Old Testament every word is about Yeshua and God the Father. The disciples and apostles that followed point back to Yeshua!
So the order of our testing or checking looks something like this.
Genesis > on through to Malachi > Matthew > Mark >Luke > John > Revelation (every word here is spoken directly by Yeshua to John) > Acts 1:1-11 (where we see we are spoken to directly with Yeshua’s words again and the two men from heaven in verse 11) > Acts 1:12 – Jude. There is a Spirit of the Words of God. They carry authority, Light, Truth, Food (manna from heaven), Living Water, Life. They have the same “sound” or “ring” as the Torah (teachings/instructions) found in the Torah (Genesis-Deuteronomy) which in New Testament terms would be called The Way, The Truth, and The Life, because no one came to the Father except through the Law (Torah/Instructions) at the time before Yeshua. Hence why John qualifies in his first chapter that Yeshua was/is the Word. Yeshua was the fulfillment of every Word in the Torah and Prophets (Old Testament). Those who came to trust in Him only had the Old Testament as scripture to validate Him and His works and claims. When they went back they saw the Word of God as true. The New Testament was not “available” for roughly another 100 years. No one had been able to with absolute accuracy pin point exactly when; as the New Testament was written in the form of letters and diary like accounts and floated and was copied and passed down until it’s “official” canonization around 300 -500 years after Yeshua ascended. It’s first printing becoming available to the common man or public, in 1600’s. Of which the Catholic church was the authority on which letters and documentations became worthy of being called The New Testament. (Which I believe that Adonai Himself over-saw and made really). I do believe those that didn’t make it into what we call the Bible now still holds truth and validity.

Book of Nathan the Prophet
Book of Gad the Seer

mentioned in 1 Chronicles 29:29.
Story of the Prophet Iddo mentioned in 2 Chronicles 13:22 and His Book of Visions in 2 Chronicles 9:29
Book of Jehu mentioned in 2 Chronicles 20:34
Sayings of the Seers mentioned in 2 Chronicles 33:19
Book of Enoch mentioned in Jude 1:14.
There are many more but I will leave you to do your own research. They can be found by doing a search for the Apocrypha, Deuterocanonical, Pseudepigrapha books not canonized for the Bible. I mention these few so that you may see that there is validity to some by their mere mention in the Bibles we enjoy today.
There are reports that scrolls and scrolls have been found that include the account of the blind from birth beggar Yeshua healed with clay on his eyes, many in Bethlehem at His birth, others healed by Yeshua mentioned namelessly in the Bible, Lazarus, and those who were raised from the dead and many many more. Absolutely capable of truly existing. If so, no doubt God counts every word as testimony of His Work. We know that John says that if every word were written down of all Yeshua did while He was here they would be more than all the books in the world then and I believe today as well. There would be no containing them! I alone could write a few of my own testimony to the Truth and Way and Life of Yeshua the Messiah, God the Father and the Holy Spirit’s work in my own life! Some days could be a volume all is own! Indeed every word found on this blog is such a testimony. Sometimes just posting Scriptures, some in poetic form, some in teaching, some in reflection much like Psalms. The question always remains… who are the Words pointing to and do they have the same Spirit and/or “ring” as those we find in the Book we are to test everything with? That is left up to two things. If one is given eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to understand. And if the Messiah Yeshua is the dweller in your “house” or not. Both of which are one and the same but can be contrasted by the maturity of the Follower. If a babe, some material will be too “meaty” and likely disregarded. If the Follower is more and more in unity with Messiah and the Father, some of the material here may seem trivial or like milk rather than meat.
The point of all this is…
To poke at the center of all thought and give a perspective of not staying within “taught only” by churches or men how to know God’s voice. Yeshua spoke radically different than any before Him, Paul too spoke words with newness and difference than anyone preceding him. I could name a few authors/teachers who’s voices cried out in the wilderness with much of a different style and flavor as any in the Bible but can, when tested and compared be validated as Followers of Yeshua intimidate with the Father and worthy of study and application.
God has proved down through the Sands of time to adapt His speech to match the times they were spoken in and cultures they were sent to. Yeshua spoke in parables that were immersed into the times and culture He spoke to and those who had come before Him. Likewise with Paul, Timothy, Titus and many many others. Are you able to fall back simply on God’s Word spoken to you that may not be word for word written in the folds of the Bible but still backed up by it? This is a question I rarely see any “leaders” asking today. I think it may be part of why the body of Yeshua has reached a stunt in its growth. We are evangelizing but not making disciples. Do you hear God speaking into the times you live in? You are needed to teach others that He wants to do the same. Are you mentoring? Each one of us are called to do this. To make disciples, not to evangelize. See for yourself.
Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim (disciples/followers), immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), and teaching them to to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.
“Have you understood all these things?” “Yes.” they answered. He (Yeshua) said to them, “So then, every Torah-teacher who has been made a talmid (disciple/follower) for the Kingdom is like the owner of a home who brings out of his storage room both new things AND old.”
Why don’t we see God’s people doing more than Yeshua did as He said we would? Why is there such a fear of saying anything that isn’t strictly already written? Where would we be if Yeshua hadn’t done more, or Paul or countless others that seem to stop somewhere in the 1800’s? These questions should rend the heart of every follower of Yeshua today. I will stand up and ask the questions. I will bring these new things and old out of my storehouse given by the mercies and grace of God. Will you?
Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah
Yeshua (Jesus) said, “I Am the Way – and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.
The results of the 2012 Elections here in the USA have raised really really good questions. What some see as disaster, often finds their way to the questions that lead one Home, rather than in circles. This is the beauty of “things not going the way one hopes, planned, or expects”. Or at least it can be. The same is true as well, such circumstances can cause one to ask no question that profits a thing to ask it. Such as; “Why are the stars…stars?” Or, “What is the problem with people?” They both require a Source that knows the answer and is totally trustworthy. The former question God may answer, but only in part. The latter, God is notorious for turning that question back on itself as the place to begin in answering it. “What is the problem with you?”
See there, I have just noted the Source of Truth, at least the only One who has ever been worthy of it!
As of 11:15 MST, the air was full of shock and bereavement amongst those who voted for Romney, sure that this was God’s man for America! I noticed the shock wasn’t so much that Romney lost, as people felt that God had. I found myself at a loss. Why in heavens name (and I say that with reverence), why would ANYONE assume Romney is/was uniquely God’s man? According to Romney the “buck doesn’t stop” at Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah! He is a honestly spoken Mormon. Is it the Mormon religions adherence to morality that deceives people so? The Pharisees were very moral. So, what did the Truth say about them?
Matthew 15:7-9 (Yeshua – Jesus speaking)
You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you,
‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is useless, because they teach man-made rules as if they were doctrines.'”
This was just one of many times the Truth – Yeshua – called the “moral police” hypocrites. Which begs the next question.
“When did morals ever become a saving grace to anyone much less a country?”
Didn’t work out too well for Israel. Rule keeping can be done by donkey’s, monkeys, ANTS! Why keep a rule? Now there’s a question!
Almost, everyone at least says they know why lying is a good thing not to do! Almost! But who can say why severe adherence to honesty is good? As many as those who acknowledge the former? Not on your life! Let me illustrate.
Ladies, we have all been here. You are sitting with a group of people talking down about someone you all know. Now it may be that the low-dog talking, mocking, giggling is based on an action they did or do that’s “true”. But! Deep down you knew…you know…that what you are at the least joining in with is wrong, at the most outright adding to. Why? How? How do we know this deep down? But then do it anyway? Morality has nothing to do with it…if you’re honest. It’s because that person – the object of “fun” is YOU! Everyone gets perceived as wrong, dumb, stupid, ugly, (the list goes on)…everyone. Yet, no one really knows why. Except God. God loves each of His creatures, only He can judge. This is the Truth that gets ignored here. No one can be morally honest enough with themselves without an act of God!
In the interest of not excluding…
Men, how about you? You are driving down the road, keeping the law (ok, keeping up with traffic which is breaking the speed limit by varying degrees – honesty check #1). So anyway, someone starts “riding your tail”, then whips around you, and cuts you off! Then they have the nerve to “give you the bird” for their lack of civility! You proceed to let out a “blessing” in the form of a curse. Tell me you don’t justify your actions because of theirs?! Tit for tat is morality right? Wrong!
Both these are not gender specific, at least, I – a woman admit I’ve done both. But you get the picture?
B) Depends on the motive for its need.
C) Completely useless to change a person from inside their own skin.
So…where did “morals” come from?
Easy…Exodus 20, or better…the God who created the Universe, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God of the Bible, The Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus, where the “Buck really stops” Genesis to Revelations…period. No book of Mormon, no adds, no subtractions.
So how can Romney be God’s man? And not Obama? At least Obama doesn’t claim to be righteous! Or a christian. Or a follower of Jesus. Truth is…neither of these, nor ANY other person on our ballots was “God’s man” or America’s hope. He sent that Man, 2000 years ago. Truth is America doesn’t want the Truth, God’s Man, or morality. Hard to accept? No, unless the Truth has not taken presidency inside your heart. Who’s to say God didn’t just save us a whole new set of troubles? Whats easier to tackle, the trouble you know or the ones you don’t? God has not left the “planet”. We on the other hand can’t stop complaining about it, or trying to “get off it”! Reality? Why is TV, gaming, computer internet social media, for some work, some hobbies, some sports, some politics, some survival, hunting, pornography…and the list goes on…
Why is this the chosen coarse of action by people? Because the Truth is…to us reality is just honestly – no fun. Some would say fair instead, no matter…its offensive! Uncomfortable to be severely honest to a “high moral” degree.
So…what do we say to the Election results in America 2012?
I’ll quote the Truth.
Everyone is to obey the governing authorities. For there is no authority that is not by God. Therefore, whoever resist the authorities is resisting what God has instituted, and those who resist will bring judgement on themselves.
I am Adonai (the Lord); there is no other; besides Me there is no God. I am arming you, although you don’t know Me, so that those from the east and those from the west will know that there is none besides Me – I am Adonai; there is no other. I form light, I create darkness; I make well-being, I create woe; I, Adonai, do all these things.
Adonai has established His Throne in heaven; His kingly power rules everything.
Proverbs 8:12-14; 22-31
I, Wisdom, live together with caution; I attain knowledge and discretion. The fear of Adonai is hatred of evil. I hate pride and arrogance, evil ways and duplicitous speech. Good advise is Mine and common sense; I am insight, power is Mine.
Adonai made Me as the beginning of His way, the first of His ancient works. I was appointed before the world, before the start, before earth’s beginnings. When I was brought forth, there were no ocean depths, no springs brimming with water. I was brought forth before the hills, before the mountains had settled in place; He had not yet made the earth, the fields or even the earth’s first grains of dust. When He established the heavens, I was there. When He drew the horizon’s circle on the deep, when He set the sky’s above in place, when the fountains of the deep poured forth, when He prescribed boundaries for the sea, so that its water would not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth, I was with Him as someone He could trust. For Me, everyday was pure delight, as I played in His presence all the time, playing everywhere on His earth, and delighting to be with humankind.
*All of chapter 8 is worth a read 🙂
Any questions? If so, shall we endeavor to ask Him? And expect His answer, accept His silence, honor His absolute power? This is my prayer.
Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah ❤
