Awake! – Part 11 – Salt

May 3, 2017 at 10:09 pm (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , )

Mark 9:49-50

Indeed, everyone is going to be salted with fire. Salt is excellent, but if it loses its saltiness, how will you use it? So have salt in yourselves – that is, be at peace with each other.

Matthew 5:11-16

How blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of vicious lies about you because you follow Me! Rejoice, be glad, because your reward in heaven is great – they persecuted the prophets before you in the same way.  You are the salt of the land. But if the salt becomes tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except being thrown out for people to trample on.  You are light for the world. A town on a hill cannot be hidden. Likewise, when people light a lamp, they don’t cover it with a bowl but put it on a lampstand, so that it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way, let your Light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.

Before I get to the main thread of this blog, I wish to add a side note. I, myself, as well as many others who have shared with me have had to learn the difference between being persecuted and being rightfully called a hypocrite for speaking truth. To be slandered and lied about, and persecuted for speaking truth is done whether a person is righteous our not. The Truth, these days is out of favor.  I’ve spoken truth unkindly, God can still use the truth, but the consequence of being without love in the doing nonetheless was warranted. This was not persecution. Just because we speak truth to people or are what some may term “brutally honest” doesn’t mean we are glorifying the Father. There’s a huge difference. For those who feel justified in ignoring a truth because it came from someone less than lovingly or they didn’t in your opinion have “the right” to say it, don’t feel justified all the more by what I’ve just said. Yeshua IS Truth, and if it comes to you in any way, we are capable of applying the truth and separating it from the messenger. For in truth, none of us are qualified to speak it. We are all learning it at all times, we are all in various stages of absorbing it at all times, we are all disqualified to speak it based on our humanity alone. So what’s the difference? What makes us called to be salt and light, revealing truth, teaching truth, testifying to THE TRUTH? Simple – Yeshua’s righteousness alone, His love, His example. His call to follow Him, do as He did/does.

In my own process of learning, I found that if I have not been broken by a truth I’m so eager to share, I’m not qualified to share it. A quick look at my motive, then asking God to show me what I can’t see all of them, so He then shows me my motives, proves to be effective. If they are anything but to give God glory and show that it’s the goodness of God that brings repentance, if there’s even a little nudge inside that desires to show someone how wrong they are instead of the beauty of how trustworthy God is, my lips remain sealed. Adonai is serious about us being careful, setting a guard over our lips. As we look to Yeshua’s example we see what we are aiming for. He rebuked the religious leaders, he rebuked demons. He overturned tables in the temple, but this was not a teaching moment. He was passionately angry for what was being done in His Father’s house. We notice He never once spoke about it. He did it. End of story. When He taught truth, He didn’t interject His opinion, He spoke it  (the worth dying for truth) straight out, not shouting, not pounding it in a zillion times. When He repeated Himself, His audience was vastly different, in that, He was always speaking it for the first time to the majority of ears. When He “repeated” Himself to His disciples, usually the repeat was addressing a different aspect of a certain truth. To really understand what it means to speak truth to anyone we must all have spent some time at Yeshua’s feet, showing those truths have changed us first. For then, we learn the loving-kindness of Adonai in teaching and guiding us through all truth. Then when we are pressed upon the Lord to share it with others, our hearts are ever aware of our lack of qualification to teach it, our lack of control of its reception, and our lack of any origin of it from ourselves. So naturally we are more mindful of: “How will my words bring glory to You my Lord? Give me Your words, give me Your heart, Your amazing love.”

I pray that will help clarify much as we move on. 😊

Here are some things salt is used for:

It preserves from corruption.

It irritates and hurts wounds.

It softens water and skin

Enhances flavor.

Cleanses and purify’s.

It can also be corrosive.

It enables water to conduct electricity.

Melts ice/keeps water from freezing.

It is like an electrolyte.

It’s a bleaching agent.

It was used in all the offerings, incense, and sacrifices.

It can destroy, overcome, and over take.

Babies used to be rubbed with it just after birth.

Without salt, no life would exist.

As I studied this list I found it amazing. It’s dual nature. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed with it (Gen. 19). Yet covenants were preserved with it (Numbers 18:17-19; 2 Chronicles 13). Elisha purified water with it (2 Kings 2:18-22). The Dead Sea was destroyed with it. Yet in Ezekiel 47, we see that God will restore it. In Jeremiah 17:5-8, we see it represents trust! To be salt we must be a living trust in action and word in Yeshua – all He said, did, does, and will do.

Salt irritates wounds. Yet applied correctly it will heal them. The application is always our choice. Even if it’s “dumped” on us, we can still make use of it. If we are awake, we are salt. Every single thing on that list above applies in a spiritual sense as well as a physical. Notice the Matthew 5 verse. I suggest you read the whole chapter. So often that salt part is selected out of its context. Yet it’s sandwiched between blessed are you if you are persecuted and you are a light for a reason. What might that reason be? To be awake one must seek this answer for themselves. Every single word of Matthew 5 is showing us what salt and lights function is and how it is to be used. Every single word Yeshua said was perfectly applied as salt and light. (Not just in Matthew 5). If any of those words become empty or inapplicable to us, our salt will lose its flavor, our light will dim. Notice the first place we are to adopt the Truths is in our own lives. Too many people are good at preaching what they themselves are completely dead to. When our salt loses its flavor something dies in us to the truth and it spreads like a virus to those around us. We are doubly accountable in this case. It’s one thing to be naive, not knowing the truth, it’s another to reject it. To clarify without any fuzzy lines – on Judgement Day – there will be not one naive human being standing before the God who reveals Truth to all in order that they might be saved. All will have had the chance to reject or be reborn (changed, transformed in the Image of God) by Yeshua, The Way, The Truth, The Life.

An interesting note: there such a thing as ‘smelling or waking salts’. You know, we’ve all seen them used in movies. Salts that awaken. In order to be changed into the glory of His likeness, one must first be awakened. These salts irritate. They snap someone out of one state into another. It’s offensive – hence why Yeshua said “blessed is anyone not offended by Me”. (Matthew 11:6) Who can argue that it’s much better to be open to Truth, no matter how hard, than to be offended (defensive) by it?

Now notice how interesting the verses in Mark 9:49-50 are? Salted with fire? What is Yeshua saying here? Then it ends by suggesting that our saltiness will produce peace among people? These are very strange references. When considering the main by-product of saltiness in this day and age will be persecution. So what peace is Yeshua referring to here? It seems to contradict itself. Let me assure you He does not, yet again for this to be understood, one must seek Him for the clarity of the meaning here for themselves. Begin with every scripture from Genesis to Revelation where salt is mentioned. The Beginning and the End is where answers are found and Yeshua is both!

There are four covenants Yahweh’s people can enter into. One is called the Salt covenant. Seek out and study these, you’ll begin to understand salt in a whole new light – pun intended.

I hope I’ve raised curiosity here, caused a thirst or hunger to seek Yeshua and His Word for yourself. I wonder often, if we wouldn’t be more effective, not giving all the answers, but sending out questions that seek to be answered? For some this may be a smelling salt, for others flavor, for others cleansing, for others a bleaching agent, and yes, for some corrosive, irritating, even destructive (to all things evil). We are just told to be salt, God directs the function of it. We can be absolutely sure of His heart to love and save. An interesting note: it takes salt to make light 😉!

✡ May the Bread of Life be salted with your tears of joy and sorrow for those who suffer from lack of salt, may His glory be the treasure we seek every day in ourselves and the world around us! His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!  Grace and peace be yours in full measure in Yeshua the Messiah.   âœ¡

Awake! – Part 6 – Focus

April 12, 2017 at 5:00 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , )

John 6:35

Yeshua answered, “I Am the Bread which is Life! Whoever comes to Me will never go hungry, and whoever trusts in Me will never be thirsty.”

John 8:12

Yeshua spoke to them again: “I Am the Light of the World; whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness but will have the Light which gives Life.”

John 10:7, 9, 11, 27-28, 30

So Yeshua said to them again, “Yes, indeed! I tell you that I Am the Gate for the Sheep.”

I Am the Gate; if someone enters through Me, he will be safe and will go in and out and find pasture.

I Am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the Sheep.

My sheep listen to My Voice, I recognize them, they follow Me, and I give them eternal Life. They will absolutely never be destroyed, and no one will snatch them from My hand.

I and The Father are One.

John 11:25

Yeshua said to her, “I AM the Resurrection and the Life! Whoever trusts in Me will live, even if he dies…

John 14:6

Yeshua said, “I AM the Way – and the Truth and the Life: no one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 15:1, 5

I Am the Real Vine, and My Father is the Gardner.

I AM the Vine and you are the branches. Those who stay united with Me, and I with them, are the ones who bear much fruit; because apart from Me you can’t do anything.

John 18:36-38

My Kingship does not derive it’s authority from this world’s order of things. If it did, My men would have fought to keep Me from being arrested by the Judeans. But My Kingship does not come from here. “So then,” Pilate said to Him, “You are a King after all.” Yeshua answered, “You say I AM a King. The reason I have been born, the reason I have come into the world, is to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who belongs to the Truth listens to Me.” Pilate asked Him, “What is Truth?”

As we can see, Yeshua (Jesus) made very clear statements about who He IS. He announces His identity. He then puts forth the question: “Who do you say that I Am?” This question is still ringing and echoing from His mouth and won’t stop until The Day when He abrupts the flow with “I know you. You are Mine. Or I never knew you, away from Me.” Testimony after testimony of those whose mouths confessed and announced Who Yeshua IS, and their lives that spoke as loud as their mouths continue to sound along the fabric of time, united with His declaration of who He IS. Along with the Father whose declaration can not be more clear, “and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) came down on Him in the form of a dove; a Voice came from Heaven, “You are My Son, whom I Love; I AM well pleased with You.” (Luke 3:22) and again, Then a cloud enveloped them; and a Voice came out of the cloud, “This is My Son, whom I love. Listen to Him!” (Mark 9:7) To be initially roused from the dead, born again, one must be given eyes to see Yeshua, acknowledge His Authority as God and Savior, and begin to truly live. To be kept awake, made ready to live with Him forever, He must be the First and the Last, Beginning and End and the only Authority one consults and yields to until that Shofar shall blow on The Day, where He comes to bring His Bride Home. So it is very simple, to stay awake, one only needs to confess Yeshua is Lord, then do as He did, nothing more and nothing less and we are assured to be ready for anything – anything as He acts on His Will to bring about His Plan, beginning, middle and end.

Are we awake? Let’s take our “temperature” and see. With only one thing Yeshua said and did, acted upon and or against. Let’s see if we are asleep or awake.

Matthew 5:38-44

You have heard that our fathers were told, ‘eye for eye and tooth for tooth’. But I tell you do NOT stand up against someone who does you wrong. On the contrary, if someone hits you on the right cheek, let him hit you on the left cheek too! And if a soldier forces you to carry his pack one mile, carry it for two! When someone asks you for something, give it to him, when someone wants to borrow something from you, lend it to him. You have heard that our fathers were told, ‘Love your neighbor – and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES! Pray for those who persecute you!

Did Yeshua do what He told us to do? Some could say He stood up for Himself when arguing with the various people and leaders. Yet it should be noted, He never defended Himself. Only His Father. When Peter tried to fight for Him at His arrest, He rebuked Peter, healed immediately the injured soldier and offered NO resistance when taken into custody. He never raised a hand in defence or retaliation when struck, spit on, insulted, abused, flogged, and beaten. Not one time. The only fighting He spoke of was spiritual, He would not, and could not be drawn into the physical world of violence. He never spoke of our “right” to bear arms, to free speech, or fair treatment by mankind. Only where it resided with us, to give these rights to others, but not to claim them for ourselves. Let’s now go see if Peter learned from his mistake on the Mount of Olives where Yeshua was arrested.

1 Peter 2:19-25

For it is grace when someone, because he is mindful of God, bears up under pain of undeserved punishment. For what credit is there for bearing up under a beating you deserve for doing something wrong? But if you bear up under punishment, even though you have done what is right, God looks on it with favor.  Indeed, this is what you were called to: because the Messiah too suffered, on your behalf, leaving an example so that you should follow in His steps. He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His lips. When He was insulted, He didn’t retaliate with insults; When He suffered, He didn’t threaten, BUT HANDED THEM OVER TO Him (the Father) who judges justly. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the stake, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness – by His wounds you were healed. For you used to be like sheep gone astray, but now you have turned to the Shepherd, who watches over you.

1 Peter 3:8-9

Finally, all of you, be one in mind and feeling; love as brothers; and be compassionate and humble-minded, not repaying evil with evil or insult with insult, but, on the contrary, with blessing. For it is to this you have been called, so that you may receive a blessing.

One could say the entire book of 1 Peter is dedicated to this subject alone, to be awake, one must not only read it, but put it into action.

Now, we who live in America will find this reflection of Yeshua, the following of Him in this way to be rather difficult. Arguments have been made, reciting the old Testiment and examples of David (who by the way did not retaliate to Saul), and the many times God instructed His people to fight and destroy entire nations. From my own study and time spent in prayer asking for wisdom I came away with the final Word being Yeshua’s as Authority. Adonai said, ‘behold I make all things new’ – Yeshua said the same. To lay down our arms and weapons now, may seem ludicrous, but it shall prove our trust in our Defender more. The Truth – we have nothing to lose here folks! Another argument is to stand in defence of our loved ones. This one is hard, and as I did, you must seek out the will of God for yourself, measure it with the backdrop of scripture and do as He leads. Yet, again, Who is it that You say that He is? Is He your Defender, is He your loved ones Defender?  Do you believe as He did, and trust in Him (the Father) for justice? Is who you say He is the same as all those scriptures above where He, Himself defines who He IS? These are hard questions. The days ahead, especially, do not bode well for those who follow Yeshua and stand for His Way, His Truth, and His Life. Persecution is sure to come to us all before The Day. Who will you decide to say that He is?

To be asleep on this one issue, any one issue, that He has sent forth His Word to clearly instruct us with, we risk a deeper sleep to settle one upon another.

As for me and my house, I will serve the Lord, follow in His footsteps and trust everything about and concerning me to His care. As I do so He arms me for war with altogether different weapons of warfare. I am continually at His feet in learning of them, and how to use them. The first, learn the Truth, and let it set you free, then live it! The second, speak the truth, let Him deal with the offense of it. Third, hold fast to the Truth all the way to the end. He comes soon, and His justice is with Him! Focus!

🔯 In Your grace, hear our voice; Adonai, in keeping with Your justice, revive us. The pursuers of carnality are getting close; those distancing themselves from Your Word. Your are close by, Adonai, and all your Instructions are Truth. Plead our cause, and rescue us; in keeping with Your Promise, revive us. Salvation (Yeshua) is far from the wicked, because they don’t seek Your Teaching. Great is Your compassion, Adonai, in keeping with Your rulings, revive us! Although our persecutors and foes are many, let us not turn away from Your instruction. The main thing about Your Word is that it is true; and all Your rulings last forever. May our courage give glory to Your Name, Yeshua our Messiah, and may You continue to keep us sheltered under Your protection as long as we may shine Your Light into a dark world. Shalom to you all in the Name of Yeshua the Messiah 🔯

Awake! – Part 5 – Delight of the Eyes

April 11, 2017 at 10:39 pm (WSGD Newes) (, , , )

Isaiah 60:1-5

Arise, shine, Jerusalem, for your Light has come, the glory of ADONAI has risen over you. For although darkness covers the earth and thick darkness the peoples; on you ADONAI will rise; over you will be seen His glory. Nations will go towards your Light and kings toward your shining splendor. Raise your eyes and look around: they are all assembling and coming to you; your sons are coming from far off, your daughters being carried on their nurses hips. Then you will see and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with delight;

This series is challenging. It renders much to realism and in these days, rude awaking at times. The depth of the sea of deception – overwhelming. Almost daring one to dive in with a sense of hopelessness. At least that’s what the enemy of souls would like to see us do. With his putrid suggestion that Truth is scarey, inconvenient and lacking joy, I stand against that in the Name of Yeshua, Truth is our Lord, where no fear abides, no sacrifice is thought of as too much, and joy rings out of the rocks, air, all things for Him! I thought it would be fitting for the battle to bring Truth to shine upon the “doom and gloom” team.

Being awake means beauty – joy – hope – gladness – being awestruck – delighted – full of desire for the end to come, in the Spirit of the Living God, the end of all suffering, evil, death, dispair, discouragement, disillusionment, deception, fear, pain, heartache, loneliness, depression, disease, sickness, fatique, failure, cheat, lies, theft, adultery, unfaithfulness, betrayal, misunderstanding, and the list into depravity goes on. NO MORE! The end, Justice rendered, vengeance against the evil one and the atrocities he has done to each soul, to the earth, to God’s own heart, finished!

I think where so many often get lost in the ‘end-ness’ of it all, is that they don’t go and see what the end will look like from the forward motion of that moment into the next. Grant it, there is some mystery that we can’t know. What will this new heaven and new Earth look like? Biblical descriptions are inviting but still hard to conceive. The old earth has permanently tattooed it’s image in our minds. After all it holds breath taking beauty, wonder and bounty. God made it after all, how could it not? Yet even God’s attempt to show us a little makes it difficult to picture.

Isaiah 65:17-18

For, look! I create a new heavens and new earth; past things will not be remembered, they will no longer come to mind. So be glad and rejoice forever in what I Am creating; for look, I Am making Jerusalem a joy and her people a delight.

If we are honest we are not sure we don’t want to remember all things in the past. There are things here that hold much delight and goodness that we pray God will never erase. It begs the question, if we take the Scripture to mean exactly what it says: “would I gladly exchange all I’ve ever known, for this new thing to come?”

My sister and I were talking the other night about the sun and moon being gone forever. How we’d miss them. Will God really eliminate everything from all we’ve known? I don’t think He minds that we discuss such things, and even appreciates that we see the incredible beauty of all He has made that we experience in this life. For be sure, as my sister and I talked we gave no one the glory for beauty of any kind but God. So this pleases Him, this I know. Yet there is put forth a question that we must be willing to answer in favor of this great exchange of the now and what’s been, for all He shall do in a future we can’t see. Knowing that everything – everything will be totally and completely different than we’ve ever known. At least in the physical sense. Spiritually, the goodness of God will only be multiplied by some number that man kind can’t comprehend.

Isaiah 64:4

No one has ever heard, no ear perceived, no eye seen any God but You. You work for him who waits for You.

Let’s go to Revelation between chapter 21-22 and take a narrated look at what we’ve been given as a glimpse of just the new city we shall live in.

Holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God. It has His Sh’khinah (Manifest glory of God) so brilliant like a priceless jewel, a crystal-clear diamond. High walls, 12 gates with 12 angels with the inscription of the 12 tribes names from Israel. 3 gates east, 3 gates north, 3 gates south, 3 gates west. The walls built of 12 foundation stones with the names of the 12 emissaries of the Lamb. The city is then measured, square, 1500 miles in all directions. The wall 216 feet. (That’s taller than the World Trade Center) The wall made of diamond and the city pure gold that looks like pure glass. The foundations of the city are decorated with all kinds of precious stones, 1st – diamond, 2nd – sapphire, 3rd – chalcedony, 4th – emerald, 5th – sardonyx, 6th – carnelian, 7th – chrysolite, 8th – beryl, 9th – topaz, 10th – chrysoprase, 11th – turquoise, 12th – amethyst. The 12 gates are each one big pearl. The city main street pure gold, again like pure glass. The God of Heaven’s armies and Yeshua (Jesus) is the Temple. The city needs no sun or moon because God’s glory gives it Light, the Lamp is Yeshua. The nation’s walk by in its light the kings of the earth bring their splendor to it. The gates will never close, they stay open because night and day no longer exist. The honor and splendor of the nation’s will be brought into it. Nothing impure will enter it, no one who does shameful things or lies, the only ones who enter it are those whose names are written in the Lambs Book of Life. Then there is a river of the water of Life, sparkling like crystal flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb (Yeshua). Between the main street and river is the Tree of Life, producing 12 fruits, one each month, and it’s leaves are for healing the nation’s, no more curses. The throne of God and the Lamb will be in the city and His servants will worship Him, we will see His face and His name will be on our foreheads. Again it tells us that night and day, sun nor moon, are no longer needed because God Himself will shine on us and we will reign as kings forever and ever.

So here we see the depiction given, no one has ever seen such a thing. Some of those jewels I have no idea what they look like. I’ve never seen gold that looks like pure glass. I’ve seen a glimpse of God’s glory, and when I look at the sun I’m aware that His face would indeed kill me now in this body. The moon is a wonder to behold. I’m not sure I understand the squareness of the city, but I’ll not waste a second arguing it’s logic. The height of the city much less the walls compare to nothing this earth has to offer. Sounds very secure, and indestructible. The things that are easiest, I think for everyone, to delight in is where no lies, shame, curses will ever come in. That God Himself and Yeshua will hold the city in their Light and protection. That instead of some building made by man we will enter into God Himself to worship! That is both mind blowing and exciting!

So who, honestly, wouldn’t want to be awake to see this? Well as always it’s not the good things people tend to fall asleep to, but the hard and unsightly, uncomfortable and inconvenient things that tends to close the eyes. So this, too, begs the same question. Would one rather be blind to all or see all? It’s a difficult choice. Feelings will close the eyes, as they are stuck on temporal things. The here and now and semi-future one desires to plan for themselves is preferable to a future that almost everything around us seems to say is a lie. The world is dark and ugly, full of wicked and treacherous deeds and acts, war, and things that most have no desire to understand in the way of evil. On the other hand, because God has yet to withdraw His presence completely, there is love, kindness, compassion, good deeds, beauty. To think of it all is hard, makes the choice very simple yet not in the least easy. To forsake all that can be had here for the incredible nothing but good later. What does this look like?

Isaiah chapters 60-66 are a good description in such detail, I strongly recommend you read it. As you do, it will make those choices seem trivial.

Isaiah 60:19-22

No more will the sun be your Light by day, nor the moonlight shine on you; instead Adonai will be your Light forever and your God your glory. No longer will your sun go down; your moon will no longer wane; for Adonai will be your Light forever; your days of mourning will end. All your people will be righteous and they will inherit the land forever; they will be the Branch I planted, My handiwork, in which I take pride. The smallest will grow to a thousand, the weakest will become a mighty nation. I, Adonai, when the right time comes, will QUICKLY bring it about.

Isaiah 65:19-25

I will rejoice in Jerusalem and take joy in My people. The sound of weeping will no longer be heard in it, no longer the sound of crying. No more babies will die in infancy, no more will an old man die short of his days – he who dies at a hundred will be thought young, and at less than a hundred thought cursed. They will build houses and live in them, they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They will not build and others live there, they will not plant and others eat; for the days of My people will be like the days of a tree, and My chosen Ones will themselves enjoy the use of what they make. They will not toil in vain or raise children to be destroyed, for they are the seed blessed by Adonai; and their offspring with them. Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb will feed together, the lion eat straw like an ox (but the serpent – it’s food will be dust). They will not hurt or destroy anywhere on My Holy Mountain.

Isaiah 66:14

Your heart will rejoice at the sight, your bodies will flourish like newly sprouted grass. It will be known that the hand of Adonai is with His servants; but with His enemies, His fury.

I think it’s helpful to remember that God caused Adam to go into a deep sleep, and when Adam woke up, his eyes beheld the gift God made of him. Sometimes the Lord dulls our senses, blinds, to keep us out of His way, so that what He’s bringing about can be done without delay and without our “help”. These days call for full alert, not just to the deceitfulness of the world we live in, but to the delight of who He is and what He’s doing to keep His promises! To be awake to all is to have the goodness of God be felt more! I see the truth, hard and cut, my heart grieves much over those who don’t, but so, too, is my joy increased! The chemsprayed sky is still His, and beautiful! The love I share with my loved ones, and feel for all my fellow man is felt down to my toes and given in increasing beauty. The delight in trees, grass, creatures, laughter, rain, wind, snow, sunshine, moonlight, star gazing, sunsets, sunrises – give me Life and take my breath away! The touch of Sam, my husband, his hand in mine, is eternal, and here gives strength and courage, but for the coming Kingdom, the increase of its joy and promise of the future beyond reckoning. The joys of friendship and brother and sisterhood is yet more to be cherished. Being awake does not take away from any good thing God has made here and now, but makes its that much more miraculous and cherished. Being awake, is the only hope of the future. Being awake will delight the eyes of those whose eyes are steadfast on the Lord, His ways, His plans. Being asleep is death.

🔯 May God gird you with strength, make your way straight, make your feet swift and sure-footed as a deer, may He enable you to stand on His high places, training your hands for war until your arms can bend a bow of bronze, may He give you His shield, which is Salvation  (Yeshua), may His right hand hold you up, His humility make you great, lengthening the steps you take without the turning of your ankles. May you find joy and delight in His Word, His presence and may it increase with each passing day. May His Truth be the grace you receive and His compassion the driving force to live into it. May you bless others as He blesses you, and may we all encourage and lift each other up until The Day, when we shall watch His justice deliver, once and for all, His people from the land of slavery. Shalom in Yeshua the Messiah 🔯

Awake! – Part 2 – The Power of Time.

Psalms 39:4-5; 90:11-12; 31:14-15

Make me grasp, Adonai, what my end must be, what it means that my days are numbered; let me know what a transient creature I am. You have made my days like handsbreaths; for You the length of my life is like nothing.

Who grasps the power of Your anger and wrath to the degree that the fear due You should inspire? So teach us to count our days so that we will become wise.

But I, trust in You, Adonai; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your Hand; rescue me from my enemies power, from those who persecute me.

Proverbs 6:9-11

Lazybones! How long will you lie there in bed? When will you get up from your sleep? “I’ll just lie here a bit, rest a little longer, just fold my hands for a little more sleep” – and poverty comes matching in on you, scarcity hits you like an invading soldier. (Thief during war).

So we’re back to; what could be causing a state of sleepiness in us. Time is a funny thing, the more we get, the less we value it. I know for myself, time alone isn’t the only thing that seems to dim with abundance. Yet lets take a good look at what caused the people to miss the coming Messiah the first time. First among these would apply to their state of mind right at the time He had entered their midst. Time can weaken resolve, commitment, passion and alertness. We know this in its very basic nature, when we are up for 18-20 hours of a day, the time seems to weaken us as it ticks by. We get tired. I’m pretty sure it’s not needed to explain how impatience grows thick, like a blanket with warmth to compell the eyes to shut. The people of that day were asleep in waiting, Time wasn’t doing its job to their liking.

This drowsiness made them susceptible to deception and hence they forgot where they were to look for Him. Coupled with this deception came delusion that suggested that time was now something they had possession of to do with as they pleased. It’s almost as if, when time stretches out across our hopes, we ‘pay it back’ by giving up. Strange, huh? It’s the ‘cutting off ones nose to kill a flea’. This generation and those since the Messiah’s cloud ride back to Heaven fits right in with those that waited thousands of years for His first promised appearing. God’s not fast enough for us most of the time. That is, until He acts, and then we’re begging to catch up! His first coming fulfilled four of the seven practice rehearsal appointments (Feast) that we have been commanded to keep, in quick order. One day there were seven, ninety days later there were three! God got alot done in short order! They were reeling. At least those who woke up enough to know who Yeshua was before He went back, leaving us with the promise of His return.

It begs more questions:

Is time given to us to spend as we please? (Yeshua’s parable of the investments)  Can impatience really make one completely clueless to what’s really going on around us?

Let’s be fair. The Tanakh did not have all these words strung together all in one sequence for them to see.

I will send you, Yeshua Ben Yoseph, Ben Yahweh, and you will want to reject Him, but don’t! He will heal the sick, raise the dead, and be given power to forgive sins before He will willing go to the Cross as the sacrifice Lamb for the whole world, you will kill Him, and I shall raise Him back up in three days time. He will then be found again among you, and give you My last Words before He comes back to My Right Hand in victory to prepare all things for the time I will send Him back to the Wedding for which you are being prepared for and those who will come after you. To vindicate My chosen Ones and end the Tyranny of the Evil ones!”

Nope, this string of words won’t be found all in one book or passage. Yet, they are all there. Spread out like a bridge of Love from Heaven to earth. It took all the Time that made up the Tanakh to get them down just so.

We tend to forget that God’s enemy is watching too. God is smarter, but He’s not Thor the egotistical god that needs to prove He’s God and better than the deciever. Crafty is this enemy, yes, no doubt. So God will out-craft him! And indeed! The deceiver was surprised at His coming the first Time. Sadly he (the enemy) worked hard to make sure no one would wake up in time to see Him. For way too many, Yeshua’s attempt to rouse them was as rejected as He was. So did this surprise God? Nope. Time is God and God is Time. All He is, was and ever shall be, do, say, think, is Him! I Am that I Am! In other words, if He isn’t, then there isn’t anything! His plans and ways are perfect, unlike any kind of perfect we can conceive. Though when you know Him, you begin to see, as through a mirror dimly, but still it’s enough for make us trust Him if we seek Him, without ceasing. His second coming will follow the same pattern as the first. He will be on Time and His enemy will be shocked again, with no pigs left to escape into.

There were important details in the Tanakh to get done prior to His Hand of action coming in swiftly as it did then. Sadly, too many are not taught that the beginning contains the end and the end the beginning. There are signs people grossly miss by not seeing the Bible as a Complete Book. There are over 500 “old testament” references in Revelation alone! This is why people lose heart waiting, the deceiver has put to sleep a vital part of seeing God work exactly as He promised, and His Timing is as precise as the entire Word of God reveals! Yet again, there are vital things that have been at work by God all this Time. As we walk with Him faithfully, we stop being self absorbed about our time and stay true to Time, Himself! The only one being left out on the plan and timing is the enemy! God is busy protecting us! Making sure all that can be awakened will be, making sure the Bride is worthy of Him, making sure all have had a chance to go to the dress rehearsals that remain to be prepared for the Wedding. This is all that is left to do. Oh, sure there is the reckoning to the enemy and his hordes, to those who persecuted and will persecute the Bride. But! We are the apple of His eye! As He is to be ours! Nothing is delayed, nothing is being left out. His victory is sure and our delight in Him is not unfounded! We must not allow ourselves to fall asleep. This action He has placed in our choosing.

1 Corinthians 3:18

Let no one fool himself.

Isaiah 52:1

Awake! Awake! Zion! Clothe yourself with your strength! (Our strength is His Voice!) Daniel 10:17-19 – For how can this servant of my Lord speak with my lord, when my strength and breath have failed me? Then, again, someone who looked human touched me and revived me. He said, “You man so greatly loved, don’t be afraid. Shalom (peace) to you; and be strong, yes, truly strong.” His speaking to me strengthened me, and I said, “My Lord keep speaking; because you’ve given me strength.”

Ephesians 5:18

…Get up, sleeper! Arise from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you!

It’s our choice to fall asleep, and our choice to wake up. We only feel trapped by weariness when we have fallen behind and not kept up to hear our Shepherds Voice which keeps the deception from having access to our ability to see.

Let me clarify here. There is s difference between a righteous fatigue and a willful “nap”.The former does not steal our ability to remain steadfast. The latter does, and can cause such delusion so as to make one think they are awake when they are not. This is why we need the body to reflect to the eyes that they are closed. Put into the simplist literal terms. When we are not at attention, we bump into things and it hurts, the part of the body that took the blow, sends the cry to the eyes to…Pay Attention! Wake up! Unnecessary pain, does that. Unwarranted pain is different (persecution).

Exhortation in the Body of Messiah must renew it’s STRENGTH in Him! Full of love, but without hesitation to give a good tap to wake those who are falling asleep. We are all, each one of us, the little second and minute marks of God’s Timepiece where He has us. We must not be put to sleep because we want to be 15 seconds earlier or 25 seconds faster when it’s the Last Hour! Every second is full of such meaning! Full of so much of Him! Let’s not miss it!

The concept of God being Time itself may seem a bit odd. In part 3, we’ll dig deeper into this. Until then, search for Him yourself…you’ll find Time to be very different as you do.

🔯 May the Grace of Adonai cover you, may the Mercy of Adonai motivate you, may the Truth be the light that fails you not, may the Way be the joy of your hours, and may the Love of Yeshua woo, awaken and move you in all you do🔯
