Awake! ~ Part 19 ~ 7/4/2017 – Chaos, Confusion, or Clarity?

July 4, 2017 at 12:53 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , )

I will qualify at the onset of this blog that these are my thoughts. I stand only on the Word of God as inspired and Holy writ. I believe I am being asked to share these thoughts, but not to say “thus says Adonai.”

It’s July 4th, 2017. The long celebrated “Independence Day” for those who live in the United States of America. I won’t wax long about its history or its present condition. I’m grateful for all God has done in this country that has been of His grace, justice and freedom. That this vehicle now limps onto the road of Life is truth, the brokenness of how man’s idea of government, freedom, liberty tends to repeat since the days 1 Samuel (chapter 8) are not coincidental. Knowing the biblical history of how man-invented rulership came to be –  is key to coming to the understanding of why things are the way they are. I stopped saying I’m “proud” to be an American a long time ago, when I found out what “Americans” did to the native Americans, in other words all the immigrants, did to the people who were here first. Our legacy in this vein has now spread throughout the world and it’s disgraceful. To be fair the Americans I’ve associated with in this tiny 46 years of life, would never have went along with these plans, and hence neither myself, my family, nor those I know would likely be calling themselves Americans today. We wouldn’t have been welcome. There are levels of accountability, but if we do not acknowledge our atrocities as a country then some accountability will befall each American who found themselves so proud. To be grateful for the blessings God gives one no matter where they live is good. To attach a sense of self to that country, idolatry is the word the Word uses. Being awake finds this balance point precarious in this day and age.

The rabbit hole of “American freedom” falls deep into a level of slavery that truly can only come from a deceiver; as most don’t know they are slaves at all and are ready to fight to the death to stay enslaved. Just a few points to show what I mean.

  • America’s history says we left England because of unfair taxation and religious rigidity. Yet, for more than 80 years now we have all paid more taxes than any other people ever has and the “religious freedom” has enslaved more and more hearts over time here than its freed. Ironically, the rest of the world has found freedom from religion, though most of these pay for it, usually with their lives. (Well, the temporary shells of them here this side of the fall)
  • We decided to come here to set up “our” version of righteous government and as with every single one of man’s attempt to do it better, it gets worse every time. History repeats itself, and it’s lesson? Man refuses to learn.

The only way to have “went back” or returned to the Lord would have been for people to repent and turn to God and say “no more Kings and governments of man, God we refuse to follow any but You!” As well intentioned and righteous the words that frame our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights,  and all those original American documents may have been or sounded, it still didn’t say to the people exactly what was needed. Instead we used God to make it seem like we wanted to serve Him. But if you read these documents and compare them with Yeshua’s (Jesus’) words in Matthew 5, 6, and 7 we find that the only thing we got partially correct was that all men are created equal under God. I say partially because words didn’t qualify in the hearts of all men in America at that time, nor has it since.

I’m not sure if anyone has seen Barack Obama’s 2006 speech he gave in some church out east. While he undoubtedly mocked God, Yeshua and His Word. He actually made true statements. The right to “bear arms” wouldn’t be in a Christ-followers national law. Nor would the right to free speech. Grant it, the intention was to give people liberty to talk about the Word of God, read it themselves and speak to others about it without retribution. Yet the phraseology didn’t get that specific, it was generalized and now we have the right to say anything except God’s Word as the final stopping point. Funny how that happened. Most people think God was ridiculously detailed in Leviticus, I begin to understand every day why. There was no margin for general error. Only specific ones. God is smarter, and knows His creatures well. Barack made the statement that we wouldn’t be able to have a national defence fund based on Yeshua’s Words in Matthew. He spoke truth, what He failed to see or say was that if all people lived according to Yeshua’s Words found there; there would be no need of one! Let’s peek again back into history for a second for proof. Jericho was defeated, not by arms but obeying God, marching, praising, trumped blowing and shouts of praise to God. Hmmmm…but here’s the real kicker! Evil itself was overcome, conquered by the death of Yeshua on a cross, not a hand raised in retaliation, not a human army could have helped, no weapon known on earth then or now had a thing to contribute. Yeshua didn’t exercise His right to free speech then and if there was ever a human who has/had THE RIGHT to say anything; it was Him! That war was won, Yeshua did exactly what He instructs us to do. So ultimately Barack Obama’s statement should send whoever in the nation calls themselves followers of Christ back to those Words in Matthew and change their own thinking.

I have been watching what are called Truthers on the net. With the exception of a few, just like Yeshua said again, even these don’t really preach and practice and more importantly encourage others to do the same as Yeshua said in those chapters in Matthew. While I don’t doubt they believe and love the Lord, they still fall back into self preservation and still will fall on the sword of American rights. It’s sad.

I don’t love this country, I love this world God has given us to rule and reign over. I do not side with Americans I side with the Lord God-Father, Son-Yeshua the Messiah, and Spirit of the Living God for all people of the world, period. I will not fight verbally or physically for any of the so called rights Americans think free them. I will, however, shout until I’ve no voice left the honor, glory and power of Yeshua, His Ways, His Truth, and His Life. The weapons I have will come from Him, and follow His instruction every time. They will take no human life (we have hunted, not for sport (animals not humans – sadly these days that must be qualified) but food and will do so again if necessary). The only thing to defend in the mantra even Christians are saying they will shoot someone over is this fallen life, these fallen things, and they are not more valuable in God’s eyes than the blood that cries out from the earth every time a human being is killed. As for free speech, which many will argue I’m enjoying by writing this right now, I will gladly shut my mouth and trust Yeshua, my Defender and Advocate to say any words needed without any help from me if they cause one person to stumble in following Him and Him alone.

I’m not willing to compromise the actual living of the Words of God in my own life. How that effects others is for God to maneuver, I will never and have never had an ounce of control over that. No one does/has. That may cause jealousy, envy, slander, misunderstanding, to be stirred in another. It won’t change my mind. It may cause praise, encouragement and strengthen another. Yet that’s not the reason why I stand firm, though it’s certainly a joy to know. The only “well done” I care for is Yeshua’s. People are fickle and unreliable, it’s a wasted life that hinges on the opinion of human kind, including ones own!

Our true cause for Celebration will come on mankind’s Dependence on God Day. It has been and always will be our independence that has caused the woes of this life. If each lives individually responsible to Dependence on Yeshua, no declarations on our part will ever be needed, defended or broken.

I wonder if anyone realizes what Yeshua was really doing during His years of healing, casting out demons, teaching, calming seas, and water-walking?

He was fighting the war, declaring His victory and announcing His dominion! Turning chaos (water in Hebrew represents chaos, and healing), and confusion into clarity. Setting captives free, cutting the bonds of sin, and announcing the Good News of it to all who would hear!

Do you hear Him? Can you see our Savior Yeshua walking on that water, saying “I made this, I own this, it’s Mine, I’m threading under My feet (chaos) that which would seek to devour Me and My Father’s House (us)! See, I’ll take a walk on the impossible! I Am – is here!”

Now that is what I will Celebrate today! Everyday! 🎆

✡ Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah! May His freedom ring! ✡

Shabbat Shalom! The Joy of Yeshua

    May 25, 2017 at 11:07 pm (Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , )

Anyone who has followed me on this blog has likely picked up that I am fond of the Hebrew language and the beauty of the traditions our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) was brought up in and part of.

There is a growing anomosity and misunderstanding in the believing community I’d like to separate myself from. This takes clarity on my part. First, I’m not what some would term part of the “Hebrew Roots” movement. Second, I don’t affiliate myself with any ‘movement’ in this regard. I simply asked one day, “who are You, Yeshua?” (Jesus at the time as that was the name I was raised to call Him by). I still call Him Jesus, and Yeshua. I am not of those who think the pronunciation of His name is cataclysmic to one’s walk with Him. God sees the heart, He has known when I said Jesus, who I was referring to every time. There are those who argue, insanely in my humble opinion, that His name should be said and spelled in various forms in Hebrew to the point of division within the body. I am vehemently against this kind of division! There are 100’s of languages spoken on this planet today. In every language Yeshua/Jesus, the Son of the Living God, God of the Bible, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – the Father of Yeshua, has revealed Himself. God knows who is calling to Him and who is not. We are not to knock heads over semanitics. The only arguments I’ve entertained in a calm discussion format is the comparison that all gods in all religions are referring to God Almighty of the Bible, not true; and the subject of rigidity within the body of pronunciation of Yeshua in Hebrew. I simply refer to the Apostle Paul’s instruction for this not to be found in the body of Messiah (Christ).

Moving on…I believe in answer to my prayer, God began to show me what Yeshua grew up with, the language and culture. This took me back to why God called Abraham out and made the Hebrew nation in the first place. So in getting to know Yeshua more, just like He said, I would see the Father more! The Hebrew language made the Word make sense in ways that it never did, and made it more than it was before. Not the forbidden ‘adding to” but the deepening of its richness. Example: in the hebraic perspective what is “in front of us” is what we have known/know – our past and present – because we can see it. What is “behind us” is the future – what we can’t see and don’t know. Now let’s look at a scripture that often confused me growing up.

    Luke 9:62

To him Yeshua said, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and keeps looking back is fit to serve in the Kingdom of God.”

Now to put this in context: three people talk to Yeshua about following Him, one declares he’ll follow Him wherever He goes and Yeshua responds about the foxes and birds that have places to lay their heads but He does not. The second asks to go home and bury his dad first, Yeshua responds to let the dead bury the dead but tells him to follow Him. The third says, I’ll follow You but let me say good bye to the people at home to which the verse above is Yeshua’s response.

His last response here was to all three of the people in the section of verses and all those listening to the conversations. There is no doubt theres alot to be taken from this section of scripture but I’m focused on the hebraic perspective above. I was always taught that “looking back” was the referring to the past. Taken from this perspective one can still gleen from scripture a good lesson. Not to let the past define your present and thus your future, not to get stuck in the past and so on and so forth. All good and worthy but not what Yeshua was saying! Yeshua spoke from the hebraic perspective, He is saying don’t get caught up trying to figure out everything; past, present or future, just follow Him! This perspective ties all three examples together and speaks a powerful instruction especially for those who would believe and follow Him when He returned to the Right Hand of the Father. Another example is the word peace, means completeness/wholeness in Hebrew, not absence of strife. It changes the way you understand what He means when He says this word! If you look in the books of Kings and Chronicles you will find this phrase in every reference to each leader/King…”so and so did what was evil/good from God’s perspective”  This is very important. Man is ever taking things and putting them in their own perspective and acting on that perspective. To Follow Yeshua, in other words, to do as He did, think as He thought and act as He acted on – one must submit to The Father’s perspective. It’s not how we think of things that matters it’s how God does. I don’t refrain from murder because I just think murder is wrong, I refrain from murder because God says it’s wrong. Let’s face it, many people refrain from murder because they just don’t like it or agree with it or even have the ability to see it as okay. Yet, there is a difference between them (driven by morality) and one who acts only on what God says is good and refrains to act on what God says is bad. It’s becoming a child of His Kingdom or just a nice child of this one. It’s like taking His mark, rather than being marked by this world. Every time my heart transforms into the image of His likeness it because it simply trusts God because He’s God. I don’t get the credit for being good in this case, God gets the credit for transforming me through trust/faith.

So this is how my mind has been transformed the most. It’s not that I wasn’t a Believer before I embarked on learning the Hebraic perspective, it just grew me up more in Him, enabled me to Follow Yeshua. This is how God has moved me. It’s not a prescription to follow, it’s not personal to anyone but me and Adonai. It may encourage one to look into the things I say because they, too, find their hearts being drawn closer to the God who made them, if so, PRAISE ADONAI! If not, it’s not “sign” that God is not doing the same for anyone else but differently. (Not differently that theres any other way except through Yeshua, I must qualify this!)

As a result, we celebate the Sabbath. Friday evening as the sun sets we light the candles, break bread, and drink the wine with their messianic hebrew blessings. Again from the hebraic perspective, one learns that God gave the instructions for these things for a very good reason. To act on something is to make it a part of you. God wants us to enter His rest, not our own. Yeshua never failed to do the Sabbath – not one time; and it was His joy! Let’s be honest, He could not afford not to enter His Father’s rest! Neither can I! There is something beautifully mysterious about acting on the ushering in and participation of the Sabbath. It’s not legalism, it’s worship and honor in my heart that motivates me. I don’t believe I’m better because I do it or I get special kudos from God. Except that which comes from being united with Yeshua and in turn with the Father as Yeshua says in John 17.

Perhaps you may want to know what this ushering in of the Sabbath looks like?

I will tell you what we do, having learned from various Messianic (meaning those who follow Yeshua as Messiah) resources.

We have two candle holders, a kaddish cup, and plate for the bread (a simple glass and plate will do). At just before sunset on Friday night we say the following blessings, I light the candles, say a silent prayer, we then say the blessings over the bread and wine, and say a prayer over each other (my husband, Sam and I). If our children were there we would say the blessings for children. They are grown and not living near us but we still count them in our prayers. Here are the blessings.

To usher in Sabbath, all present recite:

I then cover my head with a scarf as a symbol of my coming under God’s Authority. I light the candles, reaching with both hands out beyond the candles and pulling my hands forward to my face three times in honor and welcome of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to receive His light, resting my hands over my face in a silent prayer. Then together we recite this blessing:

We then recite the blessing over the bread, break and eat.

Then we recite blessing over wine, and drink.

(I apologize if the pictures are hard to read, but it’s alot to type, my prayer is printed out or zoomed in on,  its legible)

We then say our prayers with and over each other, at times Sam will just pray over us, we don’t allow our personal hearts to become formal, we want God to move in us. Reverence is never to be confused with religious formality.

We are still learning hebrew, so we follow the English transliterated and English. We are learning and have fun with it, again it’s not meant to be legalistic.

I pray this encourages you in your following of Yeshua. May He come soon with the shalom of eternity!

Lessons in Set Apart (Holiness) – Part 2

    December 9, 2016 at 7:05 am (Remodeling the Mind, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Tiara stepped out to run to the store. She blew a kiss to her husband through the window of his office and headed towards the truck. As always her glance was drawn upward towards the sky, again it took her breath away. Clouds whipped and twisted like pixie dust and ringlets of gold and pink were like whispers of the Spirits heart at play and delight. The sun was falling faster towards the southern horizon, soon it would withdrawal it’s effects of warmth from the evening air. Venus, The Splendor; as God had taught the magi so long ago was holding a steady and beautiful course to follow the sun just over head. Tiara smiled and thanked Adonai (the Lord), once again for being the King of the Universe and giving her eyes to see it. As she walked up to the truck, her attention was drawn to the lights that had just came on across the street. Both houses seemed to be in sync for timing of the holiday affair of lights. One was distinctly christmas, a big Santa took up the center of attention with traditional icicle lights and candy canes scattered about. The other house was more to Tiaras liking, not traditional, classy and done with artistic aplomb! Still with signs of the traditional holiday but with things you don’t find in every yard this time of year. The mini hot air balloon was particularly pretty. Beauty abounded this evening in the form  of lights.

As she opened the truck door to get in, Tiara sighed, keys jangling. Reminding her of the sounds she’d imagine of sleigh bells a bit from her many years of holiday recollections. The door closed and she started the truck, looking at her house, still with summer yard lights glowing, but faintly as the sun no longer provided the solar panels with the light, having a northern exposure. For the third year her house would only display the mogan David she had decorated with lights and the Menorah as the candles were lit each night until they melted down losing their illumination. The thought made her smile but with a slight sigh, she loved the lights of christmas.

Lord may this house be lit up for You by our every word and deed.

It had been harder than she thought to let go of all things christmas. A blessing beyond words but also it came with much misunderstanding and inner turmoil. It would have been easier if she’d never celebrated the holiday in the first place. Many family members especially her children and her young nieces and nephews with their children never complained to her face, God was good; but in the air between them there was question and disappointment. Gift giving was another part of holiday making that had been given up for Tiara and Josh. It was hard, they were giving and loving at heart, it was hard to be the only two people who didn’t enter the family tradition. Tiara wondered what kind of memories her grandchildren would form at the decision they had made. Being set apart often felt alienating and hurt a bit too.

Father forgive me for my longing to be seen different than You truly see me. Thank You for giving me this way and the eyes to see the Truth to follow. Collect these sighs likes tears in that bottle You have for me. May You bless my children, grandchildren, friends and family in a special way dear Lord in these days. Help me to hear and obey You with a whole heart.

The truck in gear, Tiara began to pull out of her driveway. She pushed the button to listen to her favorite station. ‘Silver bells’, the famous song greeted her. She “leaned in’ to hear if the Lord would again ask her to refrain from listening. That still small Voice confirmed, and she tried four different stations, all were playing various holiday music. She turned off the radio. Another sigh…

It’s everywhere, dear Father of Lights. Can a little sweet music be so bad? Oh, Lord You know how I love to sing and worship you. That last one was Third Days rendition of ‘O Holy Night’…I admit I’m a bit unsure of the harm. But…not my will but Your will Master of my musical heart. Teach me what You will in this too.

The impression of how this ‘having nothing, NOTHING, to do with evil’ instruction began to teach in deeper ways pressed in.

My Child, this refraining should not feel so unfamiliar in many other ways in this world than just this time of year. Indeed “it’s everywhere” this theme is, in so many things in this world, yes? I tell you the truth, dear one, that what you say is true, to never have become part of the world, entered into the ways of small compromise would have made this separating much easier, indeed not hard at all. You don’t feel like you miss going to bars do you?

No, my Lord, I do not.

Because the desire has no attachment of appeal that came with deceit. I’ve asked my people to avoid and hate evil and the ways of it for this reason. Confusion and heart ache come from the small seemingly innocent compromises. You can’t miss what you never knew. Yet all sin and fall short dear Child, and the contrast of longing and separating is my gift to You. That you may remember and with trust turn away so that My instructions for you may become more and more delightful to you as you obey. Do you see what joy you have to hear My Voice and heed it’s direction?

Oh yes, yes Lord, I would despair without it!

Trust Me now, then My precious Child, and remember, it’s the heeding of My direction that’s the key here. Do not be tempted to judge or condemn the lights, songs, and many elements of this holiday refraining. Just trust Me, come to Me, like this. What delight I have when you come to Me, and we talk and work out My will for you! Sing to Me a new song now My Child…

Pulling into the parking lot of the store, Tiara began to sing.

    John 15:3-4

Right now, because of the word which I have spoken to you, you are pruned. Stay united with Me, as I will with you…

~ Stay tuned for Part 3…~

Grace and peace to you in the Messiah, Yeshua ♡

The Birth of A Savior – Recommended Reading

    December 6, 2012 at 1:35 am (recommended reading) (, , , , , , , , , , , )

    image

Every year I pull these three books off the shelf around Thanksgiving. The entire series The A.D. Chronicles by Brock & Bodie Thoene books 1-12 is excellent! I read and re-read these often. For the holidays though, the story of Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, Zachariah, and the Wise-men doesn’t get better than these! They reveal something new every time and bring me closer to Yeshua (Jesus) without fail.

Much love and effort went into these stories by the Thoene’s, in their historical accuracy, biblical truth, and even educate about the stars, planets and skies as done all those years ago. You won’t look at the night sky the same ever again!

    image

These three books 4,5 & 6; take you from the beginning of the New Testament to the time of Mary, Joseph and young baby Yeshua’s departure for Egypt. Weaving the evil of those days and incredible movement of the Spirit of God into the culture and characters with breathtaking accuracy. It’s as close to a 3-D experience in reading one can get! Leaving you wondering if God didn’t come down and dictate to the Thoene’s word for word, sight for sound, and truth for transformation.

    image

You will definitely want to pick up book Seven and keep going :-). I love these authors for their passion to honor the Hebraic roots of our Savior, and strenuous efforts to historical accuracy they bring into all their work. The characters are full and vibrant, rich and real.

So, I read these every year to bring my heart “in line” with the stars so long ago, to herald anew my Saviors birth. To remind myself what this holiday season is really about. To honor my Shepherd with all my heart, mind and soul.

There are so many controversies surrounding these holidays. Hanukkah or Christmas? When was Jesus really born? Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays? It quite disheartening to be truthful. It falls in line with the point Paul made about not arguing about trivial things, as unity in Yeshua was the pivotal point, which always lands in love! No, Yeshua was not born on December 25th. Yes, Christmas came to be because of a Saint long ago’s desire to be generous. No, I do not believe Santa Claus should be anywhere near what we teach our children about on Christmas if you are going to celebrate that day as Yeshua’s birthday. The two confuse each other. Either teach about Saint Nicholas and his story and leave Jesus out if it, or teach about Yeshua and His birth. These never should have been brought into the same hemisphere, in my humble opinion.

As for Hanukkah, this holiday is a Jewish holiday, but not to be confused with those of the Old Testament’s commanded feast. It is not, was not, ever commanded by God to celebrate. It is a wonderful story of God’s miraculous provision during a very troubled time for Israel. I will leave it to you to look into the history of it, its well worth it believe me.

With so many friends and family celebrating Yeshua’s Birthday during this time of year. I have chosen to honor His Birth as the center for my celebration during December. It must be a conviction between you and Him alone, what, why, and how you celebrate at this time. No one has any right to pass judgement on anyone because only God is qualified to judge the total of a human heart.

I pray you will invest in these books, and find the joy, awe, and wonder of the Birth of our precious Savior Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ). They will add to the festive and humbling nature of the gift God gave us in Yeshua. May they “speak out” from the echos of those days into your soul and breathe the Life of the Son right into your days, add Light to your celebration, and joy unspeakable to your walk with Him! God with us, Immanuel!

Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah ❤
