A Light on the Other Side

~~ A glimpse into my quiet time ~~

What keeps God at the back door?

Where one one can enter into the front of the house, and upon entering find the whole home decked out in the “things of God”; but upon staying for a while one gets the sense that He has never been there.

How can this be??

As one gathers up the flat things of Your treasure and builds up a shrine but still keeps You out? Can eyes be so drawn to Your Light, gather You in like a fire-fly in a jar?

“Ahh-ha at last I’ve caught a little bit of You, O Divine! I shall make this enough for me!”

Then builds on what little they find – having been blinded by a more sinister lie; that just a little is all there is to find.

How can this be??

Oh, the hesitation to follow Your Son into a new word being written upon our hearts! Into the heart of ‘Hallelujah’!

I hear Your voice…
“Even the demons believe…”
If one can look up at the sky and call it blue; one is capable of believing in You!
But! Capture the sky and bring it down…collectively liquid – and walk upon the fluid of belief!
The stars twinkle a little brighter at the invitation!!

And all in opposition to You shrieks and twist that one just one of “those dirt-born, God-breathed, weak creatures” may alight and Obey! (I hear them)
“Not even the Bible guarantees a safe crossing!” They scream.
“See, Peter begin?! And fail!!” They accuse.

But its a distraction!!! For there is a possibility that someone may keep their eyes on Yeshua (Jesus) and SEE! Fixed on Your Beloved and HEAR!
“The laws of Creation – obey Me!”

And Lo! The first thing Peter did as the water began to encompass him; was cry out to You! You who divided waters from waters, You who stood before him upon the obedient fluids beneath Your feet! This was Peter’s success! We can not make the wind and waves obey us – but we have the Ears of the One who can!!!

O Lord, I have thrown out all the decor! Now I ask only for Your Son – the Water-Walker, the World-Maker, the Star-Namer, the Complete-Healer and the All that is Possible!!!
Help me to see!
“Open Your servants eyes, Lord!” This Elisha prayed!
Hear his prayer again O God, stretching through time to today!
Open my eyes, my ears, my mouth as unto Your perfect will!
I ask and know You are answering! For with You and with me, only Your presence will do!!

Genesis 1:6-7
God said, “Let there be a dome in the middle of the water; let it divide the water from the water.” God made the dome and divided the water under the dome from the water above the dome; that is how it was,

2 Kings 6:17
Elisha prayed, “Adonai, I ask You to open his eyes, so that he can see.” Then Adonai opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw: there before him, all around Elisha, the mountain was covered with horses and fiery chariots.

Matthew 13:13-17 (Yeshua speaking)
Here is why I speak to them in parables: they look without seeing and listen without hearing or understanding. That is, in them is fulfilled the prophesy of Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) which says,
‘You will keep on hearing but never understand, and keep on seeing but never perceive, because the heart of this people has become dull – with their ears they barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, so as not to see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and do t’shuvah (turning), so that I could heal them.’ (Isaiah 6:9-10)
But you, how blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear! Yes indeed! I tell you that many a prophet and many a tzaddik (righteous one) longed to see the things you are seeing but did not see them, and hear the things you are hearing but did not hear them.

Matthew 14:25-33
Around four o’clock in the morning, He came toward them, walking on the lake! When the talmidim (disciples) saw Him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “Its a ghost!” they said and screamed with fear. But at once Yeshua spoke to them. “Courage,” He said, “it is I. Stop being afraid.” Then Kefa (Peter) called to Him, “Lord, if it is really You, tell me to come to You on the water.” “Come!” He said. So Kefa (Peter) got out of the boat and walked on the water toward Yeshua. But when he saw the wind, he became afraid; and as he began to sink, he yelled, “Lord! Save me!” Yeshua immediately stretched out His hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “Such little trust! Why did you doubt?” As they went up into the boat, the wind ceased. The men in the boat fell down before Him and exclaimed, “You really are God’s Son!”

Luke 18:27 (Yeshua speaking)
He said, “What is impossible humanly is possible with God.”

James 2:19
You believe that “God is one”? Good for you! The demons believe it too – the thought makes them shudder with fear!

Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah ❤
