☆ Treasure Hunt â˜†

***This is a new category. When I come upon a scripture; which no scripture is ever just added for filler; yet it clearly requires the Spirit to teach beyond it. I’ll post them. Please share what the Spirit of the Lord shares with you.***

Mark 11:12-14
The next day, as they came back from Beit-Anyah (Bethany), He felt hungry. Spotting in the distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if He could find anything on it. When He came up to it, He found nothing but leaves; for it wasn’t fig season. He said to it, “May no one ever eat from you again!” And His talmidim (disciples) heard what He said.

That’s it, placed in the middle of the donkey fetching and His ride through Jerusalem, and His clean out of the temple, this seemingly odd thing is written. Notice, it wasn’t fig season. The fig tree was not supposed to have fruit. Did Yeshua (Jesus) throw some kind of fit? Of course, we know different. Name a fit that doesn’t involve sin.

We cannot throw what we think into this. The only way these little adds to the word gets filled in for context and meaning is by the Spirit of God alone. Hint: is there anywhere else in scripture where a tree is mentioned where the fruit or lack of it offended God? The Spirit most often takes us deeper into other parts of God’s Word to teach. This is an amazing little piece of gold dropped in Mark here. But wait! Lets look further.

Mark 11:20-22
In the morning, as the talmidim passed by, they saw the fig tree withered all the way to its roots. Kefa (Peter) remembered and said to Yeshua (Jesus), “Rabbi! Look! The fig tree that you have cursed is all withered up! He responded. “Have the kind of trust that comes from God!”

He goes on to say the famous: “your trust (faith) can move mountains”. All part of the teaching in this passage but not what it usually gets taught like in church. Fruit is highly important to God, all the symbolic/parabolic language is highly significant! Notice He cursed, it dried up. Where else in scripture does this happen by God? Very important when studying to go and see the “pattern”, if you will. In fact, everything God did prior to Yeshua coming, Yeshua did while He was here! This is one of the signs of Messiah! To prove Yeshua was sent by God and was God. To dive into the study of this will take a while but I promise the rewards are beyond treasure. Remember think function of all things, and dysfunction. What is each passage pointing to in regard to function and dysfunction? Good, in Hebrew is defined as functional, bad or evil is defined as dysfunctional. God made everything to function a certain way, if diverged from such way, it will be dysfunctional. Hence sin/evil, anything that doesn’t operate according to the Engineers plans. All fruit has a specific and designed function. What makes this passage so interesting is that it wasn’t “doing anything wrong”. It wasn’t fig season. Which begs the ultimate question: why did Yeshua curse it?

Time to treasure hunt! 🙂

2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it will be evident that such overwhelming power comes from God and not from us.

Internals and Externals

September 8, 2015 at 5:23 am (Remodeling the Mind, Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

image

It’s amazing how we gravitate towards externals. Isn’t it so much easier to paint the fingernails that show signs of malnutrition but we just “see” how marred (different/not perfect) they are. So we cover it up. We invent miraculous ways to sharpen the outter image. God made the human body so able to withstand such poison and punishment, truly its a wonder that the last three generations have reproduced at all much less lived past the age of 25. I’ve been to a number conferences, they were not at all medical in nature. Most were spiritual, for some ministry or topic related as a retreat. At one in particular, a medical doctor took the podium and began to speak about the incredible work God did in every cell, every system in our bodies. The room pulsated with awe, hushed, most of us barely dared breathe, yet all the sudden we couldn’t help but pay close attention to the sound of our breath, the rhythm of our hearts, the blinking of our eyes and the wonder that we were able to zero in on at least a dozen functions of our bodies at once without any problem at all. The best computer in the world still has light years to come close to what God made our bodies and minds capable of. (I do not believe He will ever allow computers,or anything man makes, to come close, either)

The number of the things capable of killing the human body instantly – is small. The number of things that will slowly but surely kill it over time…well its never been calculated. Let’s just say, it’s beyond the number of people alive on the earth today. It’s likely you who are reading this right now have put more poison in your body than pure and simple nutrients. There’s no blame involved here, 90% of people don’t really know it. Of those that do, about 2% of those really discipline themselves to the degree nesassary to begin the process of letting the mechanisms God created to literally cure and heal itself, just like our skin does with a minor cut. Yet everybody must be blind not to see the internal effects of the external shell we live in. Bones with no nerves ache, cartlage and ligaments waste away, memories completely shut down. The number of children alone in the last decade that read 3 as an E, is mind boggling. These things are NOT “normal” as God designed them. Normal to our culture, yes, but only due to the dullness that comes from ignoring the signs of internal malfunction by cutting off the warning signal (pain) with poisonous over the counter pain killers or worse chemical “circuit-cutters” called pharmaceuticals. There’s a pill for every ill. The “easy” generation is here.

The point here is this: we cannot put external “fixes” on and expect the internal to go along. God will not change the rules of function. The sun must come up from the east and set in the west, no matter how convenient we may think it would be to reverse it; or if you will, how inconvenient the eastern rise may be to us on any given day. God cannot change who He is, and what He has made IS who He is. If we want the skin He created us to have we must feed the body that which it requires, but most importantly, we must stop putting the skin damaging stuff INSIDE the body first. The skin is the bodies last filtration system. If you see a breakdown in it somewhere, the problem within has likely been going on for years and by now has corrupted every system. The same goes with our spiritual skin. If sin is unable to be overcome, it’s likely the internal system has been grossly overlooked (I’m not talking strickly psychology, but physiology and most importantly – mentality). We are TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of our minds. Is your mind made up? How changeable is it? And how willing are you to simply act on its Creators blueprint for its health? (In other words, act on trust alone and do what He says without hesitation) Do the statistics above begin to make sense?  Does His Word? FEW are they who travel down the road of internal correction and realignment to its Creators design. There’s no easy button this way. Sleep will be lost. The very concept of comfort and convenience will fade away from the motivation center of our being. The concept of free, meaning you pay nothing and get something, will find itself an endangered species of the mind. The very thought that one can pick and choose what things they believe in God about, will begin to cause actual physical pain, due to the nature of it dysfunctional motion to our souls. The correct order of believing is… Who is God?, what does He say?, what does He believe? – “now, self, go along with Him whether you feel like it or not“, the basic muscle group is now – trust. It’s the brains of our faith – trust. The heartbeat is action. Everybody knows without brain activity and a heartbeat no body is alive. The mind must be in constant transformation (internal) or the heartbeat will be irregular. Hense, the body will be in dysfunction (external). Getting your stomach reduced to stop eating, will in effect only make you eat more with less of what God gave you to process the food. Saying “I believe in Jesus” while your actions say you do not is a lie. Like saying, “I ate yesterday” when in fact you consumed no food. No one may know that you lied, but God did. Gods ears reach to the furthest reaches of silence and sound. He made us, we cannot lie to Him, only to ourselves and others.

My granddaughter is reading an interesting book. It’s called Dumb Bunny. I’ve no interest in who the author is, save I know where they got their theme. (Satan). She asked to read it to me today. Delighted, ipulled up a chair. It starts out in diary form of a child. They called a classmate, dumb bunny, and their teacher said to stop. So, the child concludes, that they will just say it in the mind, because the mind is silent. My six year old granddaughter is being indoctrinated by illusions! So, I say to her, as she reads (she is giggling at the sneaky nature of the text) “Ahhh, but God hears the mind, huh Izzy?” My eyes fill with tears even now, as my precious granddaughter, already six years old, looked at me with defiance and said, “Sooo?” Shrugging her shoulders as if there was not one merit in thinking of God. But let me show you where there is hope. She then felt so uncomfortable reading this book after that, that she quickly lost interest. I could SEE the conscience God gave her making her squirm. I praised God for it! She’s not broken, just illiterate. Uneducated to the God who created her, but she is only six and God in that moment woke her up just a little. I pray He will invade her world! Passion for the truth to invade her external need to externally “treat” what can only be internally healed. God beamed His Light into her mind with my words, and she was uncomfortable with herself! Glory to God!

There is no silent mind to God, the sounds of our internal world are sonically booming in heaven. Our internal is the key. Actions only speak louder than words because the shouting from the mind will vibrate the whole body. The word – heart – in Hebrew means the mind, thoughts, that which makes up the substance of our actions.

Create in me, a clean heart, O God, and RENEW a right spirit within me.

This Psalms speaks a thousand words, it focuses correctly; on the e-ternal and in-ternal, for the key to the ex-ternal and temporal. Physically we will represent what spiritually is the center of all things. We can start taking vitamins, but if we don’t eliminate the poison from our diet, the vitamins will do us very little good.

In this day and age, how can this message not be relevant? How can we possibly not begin to stop treating this topic like a Sunday school lesson and start treating it like the very substance of our living? Join me, dear fellowsheep, in dropping to our internal knees and repeatedly asking for God to teach us the vital importance of the internal. For the courage to be an internal Light in an external world, yes, to its discomfort!

Upright Ownership

January 6, 2015 at 9:57 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

image

Ever wonder how King David could use the term “my righteousness” in the Psalms? Job did the same as well.

It’s been a common line of thinking in the church that noone can “own their righteousness”; using the Apostle Paul’s term “apart from God there is no righteousness” which I believe he quotes from King Davids Psalms as well. So what could this Psalms be talking about? And what does Job mean when he claims to have a righteousness of his own?

In my own studies I have found the following which has helped a great deal.

First of all there are two types of righteousness we are given by God.

● The righteousness of salvation; which comes from Yeshua alone by His works and His death and resurrection. This is not earned by us; nothing we do contributes to this righteousness. Even the grace we are given to accept and receive Yeshua comes from Adonai alone. This righteousness is what Paul is referring to; the ownership of this is God alone. We can stand firm in it but even to do that we must be given grace and mercy to do so by God. It is this righteousness alone that will place us before God on Judgement day and separate the goats from the sheep. Everyday our first conscious act is to bring ourselves under the protection and grace of the Salvation Yeshua provides. This enables us to move into the day with the righteousness that follows…

● The righteousness of separateness, holy living, following, obeying, submitting to all God’s instruction and teaching; the living acts of being set apart by His truth manifesting itself from within us causing the fruits of the Spirit to grow on our tree. It is, however, still the act of God that we are given the heart to obey, listen, and heed Him. By giving us access to Himself through Yeshua the Messiah with the power given by His Holy Spirit, our Counselor. So here still the origin of this righteousness still comes from Adonai. But we now become the very righteousness of God in the world we effect and live in; and thus the righteousness King David and Job refers to as their own. These acts of righteousness we get to take with us all the way to eternity! They shall never rot, decay, wither away, the treasures we store up! These will also be rewarded by Yahweh, on Judgement day.

The heart of the individual must be seeking only for God to get the glory. This is the Spirit of the Law – or more accurately defined – the Teachings of God that Yeshua’s coming and His walk lived out here on earth revealed and stood in contrast to expose the religious hypocrisy of what mankind had done with God’s law. Whenever something God designed gets directed to glorify anything other than Himself it becomes wickedness.

image

Another note that opened wide my perspective was how one defines – good and evil.
In Hebrew the Word – good – means functional. Meaning that whatever is being referred to as good operates under the design and purpose for which it was made by God.

The Word – evil – therefore means dysfuctional. Anything that gets put to use for anything other than the way it was designed and purposed by God according to His original intent.

The word good for as far back as hundreds of years before Yeshua was born and lived as a man; was morphed into this religious hypocritical feeling-based definition. Something that makes one feel good rather than actually being the good God designed it to be. For example: the act of obeying the 10 Commandments being called “good” when the heart of the person doing so was to make themselves feel good not simply because they loved the Instructor and wanted Him to be glorified through them. This is why Yeshua asked the “righteous man” why he called Yeshua good. And thereby explained that noone is good except God the Father.

It makes a huge difference to know how God intends the words He created to be used and perceived. Greek (or gentile) thinking has diluted so much of the exactness of how God expressed Himself, with clarity enough for a child. The more “heady” or intellectual one became in pursuit of knowledge of God rather than desire to know God Himself the less accurate this “knowledge” became.

Given all that is above in reflection and study. Now re-read the Psalms at the top. Light should fairly burst into our souls! Notice why David can ask God to judge him with confidence. The focus of all things in the words he is expressing is God. The trust within David is in God’s righteousness and judgement not his own. Yet he is able to see that the act of obeying and serving God in the designs that God gave with the act of living for Him (the Teachings/Law) gave him a firm ground to stand upon in defeating the enemy (God’s enemy, the devil and his servants). In fact the whole story of Job reflects this same “motif” if you will. It is wisdom to see that the enemies King David refers to in 90% of the Psalms he wrote are not human beings. (Though with study one can figure out which and where he does indeed refer to the human element of enemy). As we read the Psalms we must pay close attention to how the enemy is being referred to as David had also been instructed by God to love his enemies but hate the evil doer. Hence when Yeshua tells us to do the same there is no contradiction between the Word of God at the time Yeshua lived (The Old Testament) and His own Words which were the fulfillment of the old renewed in His person Himself. So much of what Yeshua said cannot be truly understood without having applied (as God intended) and studied the Holy Scriptures that were given by God before Yeshua was sent as a babe, thus fulfilling all God’s Word. The entire Old Testament and most of the New must be viewed via the Hebrew mind. Not the greek. God moved the very Hebrew of Hebrew Paul to translate and begin educating the Greek thinkers (gentiles) but Paul started by explaining the error of Greek thinking and gently showing (teaching) the Hebrew. It is a big debate but needlessly so as to the language God spoke to His people and even to His Creation at the beginning saying “Let there be Light!” Yet the fervent study of God’s Word eliminates this at the tower of Babel. Hebrew was the original language and it was at this point that all other languages emerged. Note also that the reverse “Tower of Babel” happened in Acts when everyone who received the Holy Spirit was able to understand everyone speaking in foreign languages. Hence they were all translated back to the original – Hebrew. God’s language. The evidence is overwhelming. Now see how the church is robbed by the enemy by this whole idea that we need not apply the Old Testament or understand the Hebraic roots for which we are all grafted into. Yeshua was not a Hebrew by happenstance, it is a neon sign as to where God intends to lead His people and how.

The ownership of all Righteousness is indeed Adonai. Yet we become His righteousness and are rewarded for the everyday acts of trust and obedience of living according to Gods design and teachings from the beginning. So we can say “God judge me according to Your grace for my righteousness” just as Job and David did, without misplaced arrogance but instead full righteousness granted us through the saving acts of God to communicate to His people the way they should go. I pray this excited you and stirs you to study deeper the God who is above all gods… and may His person be who we encounter at every turn! Driving deeper the sword of love and desire to please Him with every Word!

Purpose and Provision ~ Part 3

March 28, 2013 at 11:09 pm (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , )

Matthew 6:9-13

You, therefore, pray like this:
Our Father in heaven! May Your Name be kept holy.
May Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us the food we need today.
Forgive us what we have done wrong, as we too have forgiven those who have wronged us.

And do not lead us into hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One.
For Kingship, power, and glory are Yours forever.

Amen.’

Focus for part 3:

> the word and meaning of Name

> the word and meaning of the word Father

~ Name ~

When studying the scriptures it has become a absolute must that I ask the Spirit to lead me to Yeshua (Jesus) – the Teacher for direction and leading to the Father (El Elyon). For it is Adonai Elohim (the Lord God) who has decreed that He be made known. He is known by His Name. Not like I, Lisa, am known by mine. There are soo many Lisa’s, it is my last name that distinguishes my name from all the others and not completely at that. For there are surely more than one of us in combination. The meaning of my name is consecrated or devoted to God. For which, I pray, I honor; yet not everyone named Lisa desires such.

Names are not given as they used to be; **where a name was a representation of whom the individual is/was, based on their character and function. The nature and character of God is found within His Names, which are lost or obscured in our translations and Greek/Western view of scripture. Just as a name can give us a clue about the individual’s character, we can also find some interesting clues about the character of the family lineage. Below is a list of the sons of Adam, the lineage of the promised Messiah, as found in Genesis chapter 5 with the Hebraic meaning for each name:

Adam  – man
Seth – appoint (set in place)
Enosh – mortal (also means man, as man is mortal)
Kenyan – dwelling place (literally a nest)
Mahalalel – light of God (also means praise as it illuminates another)
Jared – comes down
Enoch – dedicate
Methuselah – his death brings
Lamech – despair
Noah – comfort

When the meanings of these names are combined, we discover a very interesting prophesy of the coming Messiah based on the functional descriptions of the names of Adam’s descendants. (Get ready to make that ‘whoooaa’ sound 🙂 )

Man appointed a mortal dwelling, the light of God will come down dedicated, His death brings the despairing comfort.

I.E. Yeshua, Salvation, God with us, Lamb of God, (Jesus) **taken from His Name Is One; An Ancient Hebrew Perspective of the Names of…God. by Jeff A. Brenner**

Kinda makes you look at all those names listed in Matthew and wonder, huh? I recommend you look into it…its just as jaw dropping! Everything God does is FULL of meaning/function/purpose! Not a jot or tittle is “simply placed to “fill in a blank space””.
His Name is above all names! Full of character and function with the purpose of being known!

I highly recommend you getting the book referenced above and below…you will simply just be awed from front to back in the detail of the God we serve! 🙂

~ Father ~

The Hebrew meaning of the word Father is: Strength of the house.

This stands in much conflict in our day due to the fact that somehow the mother has gotten this reputation. The woman of a house is most often the most revered. Not without reason, us women have worked hard to project this persona into the family dynamic. Women do have a “strength” but not like a father. (This is another subject, for another time)
**The following comes from the Jeff Brenner book listed above but abbreviated. The section on God – the Father is pages long and I need not repeat it all.** Looking at the language from a Messianic perspective I have changed the small s in sons to caps in order to get straight to the point. All things such as families, marriage, community and so on are a representation of the Father’s will on earth as it is in heaven.

**The Father builds His family through His Son(s). It is the responsibility of the Father to teach and instruct His Son(s) in family matters so that when the time comes for them to lead the family, they will do so according to the will of their Father.

As sons of God, it is our responsibility to listen and learn from our Father who is in heaven so that we can grow to follow in His will.** (page 83)

So when we say ‘Our Father’ we are identifying that we no longer “look horizontally” for guidance and instruction but “vertically”. We are adopting a heavenly family dynamic, in which God is the strength of our house.

**The Father of the household manifest many of the characteristics of God to His family. He is the el – power, the older experienced ox that is yoked to His children to teach them. As the adon – lord of the family it is His responsibility to bring life to the family through His own work, teaching and decision-making. He is the mela’ak – messenger, whose responsibility is to bring the messages of God to His family. He is the moshia – deliverer of His family by protecting them from evil, both literal and figurative. As the borey – creator He creates new life. He is the qanah – jealous one by guarding over His family. He is to be qadosh – set apart (holy) from the world and devoted to God and His teachings.** (page 115) again I replaced small letters for caps to emphasize the Father in heaven. The only perfect Father at all these things.

The following scripture wraps up this concept of Fatherhood perfectly.

Isaiah 63:15-16

Look down from heaven; and see from Your holy, glorious dwelling.
Where are Your zeal and Your mighty deeds, Your inner concern and compassion?
Don’t hold back, for You are our Father.
Even if Abraham were not to know us, and Israel were not to acknowledge us, You, Adonai, are our Father, our Redeemer of Old is Your Name
.

As we can clearly see…when we say ‘Our Father…may Your Name be kept holy…we are saying a wealth of things! Yeshua (Jesus) knew all these things when He taught this prayer! To Hebrew disciples who knew this language well and still they did not totally “get it” right away. The vastness of God’s detail and purposes are so that our finite minds must stay still and “chew” on His words for a time just to get a glimpse! It is full of this kind of knowledge and anticipation that Yeshua gave us these words as a “doorway” into prayer. He knew His/our Father, He knew that the depth and width of all the Father longs to teach us! He also knew that the Father, Himself, will take full responsibility for teaching us all we need to know…even if it takes an eternity!!

May His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven…today…now!! Amen!
