“Don’t Let Go!”

March 7, 2017 at 12:36 am (Remodeling the Mind, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

I’ve just spent days looking everywhere for some depiction of Yeshua (Jesus) in such a posture to His people. Surely, when He cried out,

Yerushalayim! (Jerusalem) Yerushalayim! You kill the prophets! You stone those who are sent to you! How often I wanted to gather your children, just like a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you refused! Look! God is abandoning your house to you, leaving it desolate. For I tell you, from now on, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the Name of Adonai’,” (Matt. 23:37-39)

Surely, He had tears in His eyes, His whole body shaking with the passion of a God who has been pleading with His people for thousands of years! Look at Samwise Gamgee’s face!

Do you remember? Do you remember how deep the feeling went through you watching this scene? “Don’t let go,” (passionate plea), then fiercely…”Don’t you let go!” This scene pales in comparison to Yeshua at the moment He said those words above. Listen here:

Yes, the correct translation of this verse uses the word plead, not contend, not argue. Plead! In hebrew the word is like strive defined as: the responsibility of the master is to strive for the survival and protection of the house. This is exactly what Yeshua’s Words are reflecting in Matthew.

For those who are not profoundly aware of the significance of this let me paint the picture.

God is pleading! The God who made the universe, everything we’ve ever seen, touched, smelt, tasted, known, observed. Everything macrobiotic, microscopic, and so big you can’t stick it under a scope. Powerful enough to split a sea, and the ground is instantly dry. Powerful enough to raise the dead, heal the worst illness, but more profoundly make a broken heart whole! (Nothing and noone has ever, nor will ever be able to do this but Him) The One who made the fastest, and most brilliant computer in all creation: your brain! No matter how hard we try, we will never ever be able to come close to it, and all these geniuses trying  – know it, they do. This God, is pleading, striving for the survival and protection of a people that have more a history of rejecting Him than not! This should send us all to our knees in awe alone, much less total and complete repentance. There is no human on earth (Save Yeshua) who has ever displayed the patience He does, the forgiveness, the grace, the mercy, the loving-kindness, and faithfulness. We could live forever in this state we are in now, trying as hard as we could and never even scratch the surface of the depth of these things about God. Yes! Even enabled by the covering of Yeshua’s blood, indwelt by His Spirit, we have no mark upon the history of all these in God! As we all know, it’s only because of Him we can scratch at it in the first place. Let this sink in dear brothers and sisters! Try to multiply the scene from Lord of the Rings by a billion, then see and hear Yeshua saying to you.

Your name! Your name! You kill the teachers! You reject those sent to you! (Family, friends, neighbors, and yes, even those crazies on the corner of the street holding those signs) How I want to gather you and your children, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you are refusing! Look! I’m about to abandon this place I’ve made for you to live (house), it will be destroyed. For I tell you, unless you learn the full meaning of “Blessed is He that comes in the Name of Adonai”- you will never see Me!”

(Adapted to fit our culture today and times we live in now. Then it was prophetically said just prior to His death and resurrection, now the chances are running out – completely! He won’t be riding thru the city on a donkey to display the opportunity for forgiveness. This time, He’ll be coming on the steed of war to judge! And His judgement will be more accurate than anything the world has ever known!)

It might help you to know that the exact same type of pleading was done by God in these verses.

Romans 1:18-22

What is revealed is God’s anger from Heaven against all the godlessness  and wickedness of people who in their wickedness KEEP SUPPRESSING THE TRUTH;  because what is known about God is plain to them, since God has made it plain to them.  For ever since the creation of the universe His invisible qualities – both His eternal power and His divine nature – have been clearly seen, because they can be understood from what He has made. Therefore, they have no excuse; because, although they know who God is, they do not glorify Him as God or thank Him. On the contrary they have become futile in their thinking; and their undiscerning hearts have become darkened. (Because He does not LIVE THERE) Claiming to be wise, they have become fools! In fact, they have exchanged the glory of the immortal God for mere images, like a mortal human being, or like birds, animals, reptiles (things those empty images make, like computers, sciences that make it OK to be without conscience, without love, selfish)!

Dare not believe for an instance that these words are not coming straight from a pleading God. Paul wrote them, his heart united with Yeshua to enable him, just like Jeremiah in the verse above, or Matthew, but only a God, pleading, reaching out, far extended, would put these words together to point to the way out even as He points out the way of futility! Think of the fact that these words were written over two thousand years ago, with the urgency and passion they contain. How so, now, do you think His countenance is in these last days?

Think of our children, as they rebel, do we not plead for them to get their thinking right, at the first? And as they continue and we watch, do we not reduce our posture to abandon all pride and BEG! PLEAD! Plead with them to heed the road ahead? Do we think we reflect some inkling of good we possess to do this? No, it is the image of Him we’ve all been made in;  that desperation for our children’s good; that can’t help but be reflected in us. If you do not beg and plead with your children to turn and go in that good way, you may want to look into the dullness your heart has become suppressed with. I am sick of the posture of the world today that suggest that we are fools to shout ‘fire in the house!’ in order that some may not be burned alive; if this is called good in any way, it is a lie!

Proverbs, chapter 4, the whole thing is one big long plea of God to His people! Think of Him on His knees, as it were, hands held out in supplication, tears running down His face, no less God because of it, but more God!

Exodus 23:13; 21-22

Pay attention to everything I have said to you; do not invoke the Names of other Gods or even let them be heard crossing your lips.

Pay attention to him (Moses), listen to what he says and do not rebel against him; because he will not forgive any wrong doing of yours, since My Name resides in him. But if you listen to what he says and do everything I TELL YOU then I will be an enemy to your enemies and foe to your foe.

Same thing here, same pleading nature, not finger pointing, condemning, shaming is He. Begging, pleading that we see His goodness, understand He instructs according to His nature, His design. Who do we build our house in security with? The One who designed the house or the builders? Are you deceived in believing that because the builders seem to be the ones building that they can be trusted without blue prints? God has the blue prints to all things, when He is good enough to bend down and show us them, are we not fools if we decide to just chance things another way? Notice the time frame of this scripture…from the beginning He’s been trying, pleading, forgiving, trying again, pleading, warning, forgiving, trying again, warning, pleading, forgiving……you begin to see I pray.

He sees how easily we become distracted and lost, like sheep. He’s looking down, hand stretched out, pleading – even though we’ve toiled to get this evil thing off our neck, to destroy it, yet upon the cusp of victory we’ve changed our minds, then fought for the right to do so, went over the edge, tempted to just let go…

Don’t you let go….hold on! Take My hand!”

This Mighty God is saying to you now, pleading…though He could just let you fall as a consequence to your own choice to ignore Him, no, the One True God, the Only God, He is tearfully, bloody with you from the travels, grasping to save you. Yeshua the Messiah.

Take His hand, don’t let go!

πŸ”― May the grace and peace that comes only through the Messiah, Yeshua, be yours in full measure. He is able to catch you and keep you from falling, may the Spirit of Truth open your eyes and ears to Him. And teach you what it means to say, “Blessed is He that has come, and is coming, in the Name of Adonai!” πŸ•ŽπŸ”―

Escape Artist

March 2, 2017 at 5:51 am (Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Matthew 24:3; 13; 42-46

When He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, His talmidim (disciples) came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that You are coming, and that the ‘olam hazeh (this age) is ending?”

But whoever holds out till the end will be delivered.

So stay alert, because you don’t know the hour your Lord will come. But you do know this: had the owner of the house known a thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore, you too must always be ready, for the Son of Man will come when you’re not expecting Him. Who is the faithful and sensible servant whose master puts him in charge of the household staff, to give them their food at the proper time? It will go well with that servant if he is found doing his job when his master comes.

It seems that people fixate on the day of the rapture today like they fixated on signs in the days of Yeshua.

I’m sure there are and were then those who truly desired to serve and know the Lord within these fixations. But for most, it’s a form of escapism.

How can we avoid…we don’t want to suffer…show us how to become immune…what can we look for to know our time is up…I’m tired of being here…

The Scripture above shows a rather stark picture for escape artist. To escape from something indicates that one must be imprisoned or trapped. Hence the need at this point to ask oneself, “Have I been freed?” If we read Psalms 34 in its entirety we see a totally different picture of one who is called by God and waiting for His return. All the signs depended on, are already given, our relational progression and walk with Him, right where we’re at, at the present time. The hope held onto for a time we don’t know (exactly, though the timing we do) but have been promised.

In fact the only form of escape that comes close to being freed from a trap in scripture; is from the enemy. (Save one, though it’s misinterpreted, I’ll get to that one later)

1 Corinthians 10:13; 2 Peter 1:4; 2 Timothy 2:26; Ezekiel 7:16; 2 Peter 2:20;

Matthew 6:13

And do not lead us into hard testing, but keep us safe from the evil one. For Kingship, power, and glory are Yours forever. Amen.

The above scripture is the closest Yeshua (Jesus) ever comes to such a line of thought.  Not exactly escape as some have in mind but it runs more parallel with the idea. He doesn’t say, “let us never have testing, and never face the evil one.”  So here, is not find such an endorsement to escapism.

The testing of our trust is how it grows, we’ll all deal with this or we won’t grow. As for the evil one, no one, including Yeshua Himself, escapes encounters with him. To be protected is far different than to be written a pass to get out of it. How do we discern evil from good if we never encounter evil? How does one know what they are saved from if they don’t feel the effects of evil? Escape is not an alternative.

Going back up to the first scriptures, fellow-sheep, notice the last sentence? We have work to do, work that we are to have as a natural response to our unity with the Lord, to be passionate and full of zeal to accomplish. Not this tapping of fingers type illusion of waiting. Looking around at all that evil out there and wondering when God’s going to smash the smithereens outta those evil people. No, instead we are quick to thank the Lord for His patience as we are still in no clean condition to meet Him for the Bridal supper He has prepared for those who endure to the end. Our else we’d be there, right now!

Let’s look at some more scripture.

2 Peter 3:11-15

Since everything is going to be destroyed like this, what kind of people should you be? You should live holy and godly lives, as you wait for the Day of God and WORK TO HASTEN IT’S COMING. That Day will bring on the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt from the heat; but we, following along with His Promise, WAIT for new heavens and a new Earth, in which righteousness will be at home. Therefore, dear friends, as you look for these things, do everything you can to be found by Him without spot or defect and AT PEACE. And think of our Lord’s patience as deliverance, just as our dear brother Sha’ul (Paul) wrote you, following the wisdom God gave him.

So, we see here, that instead of being the kind that keep looking at the clock in order to “clock out”. We are instead to be looking at the clock as if those minutes are going too fast for there are more souls that need to be served in honor of Him, whose mission at His heart was to save the lost! And all of us have not exhausted the clock in search of Him to know Him more!

Romans 13:11-12

Besides all this, you know at what point of history we stand, so it is high time for you to rouse yourselves from sleep: for the final deliverance is nearer than when we first came to trust. The night is almost over, the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and arm ourselves with the weapons of light.

This scripture says get ready, war is upon us! Not pack your bags, it’s about to get tuff, we’re outta here! If this indeed be our heart, then we can have no part in the One who knelt down to wash the feet of those He sends, as an example of how we are to see our time here.

2 Timothy 2:3

Accept your share in suffering disgrace as a good soldier of the Messiah Yeshua.

Hebrews 10:35-39; 12:25

So don’t throw away that courage of yours, which carries with it such a great reward. For you need to hold out; so that, by having done what God wills, you may receive what He has promised. For,

There is so little time! The One coming will indeed come, He will not delay. But the person who is righteous will live his life by trusting, and if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. (Habakkuk 2:3-4)

However, we are not the kind who shrink back and are destroyed; on the contrary we keep trusting, and thus preserve our lives!

See that you don’t reject the One speaking! For if those did not escape who rejected Him when He gave divine warning on earth, think how much less we will escape if we turn away from Him when He warns from Heaven.

Philippians 4:7-9

Rejoice in union with the Lord always! I will say it again: rejoice! Let everyone see how reasonable and gentle you are. The Lord is near! Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your request known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then God’s shalom (peace) passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and mind safe in union with Messiah Yeshua. In conclusion, brothers, focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, loveable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praise worthy. Keep doing what you have learned and received from me, what you have heard and seen me doing; then the God who gives shalom will be with you.

1 Corinthians 1:8

He will enable you to hold out until the end and thus be blameless on the Day of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Revelation 2:10; 12:11

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the adversary is going to have some of you thrown in prison, in order to put you to the test; and you will face an ordeal for ten days. Remain faithful, even to the point of death; and I will give you life as your crown.

They defeated him because of the Lambs blood and because of the measure of their witness. Even when facing death they did not cling to life.

Now I’ll bring up that scripture I spoke of earlier.

Luke 21:34-36

But keep watch on yourselves, or your hearts will become dulled by carousing, drunkenness and the worries of everyday living, and the Day will be sprung upon you suddenly like trap!  For it will close in on everyone, no matter where they live, throughout the whole world. Stay alert, always praying that you will have the strength to escape all the things that will happen and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.

This scripture is endlessly used as a defense for the whole trapped/ escape mentality. But let’s look closely at what it really says. Those who say they are saved but are still practicing the unsaved life will be trapped, not those who are working with God to hasten the Day of the Lord! And the word escape in verse 36 is not used in the context of “stop the world Lord I want off!” Look closely, it starts by saying…STAY ALERT, this same feeling is behind Yeshua when in the garden before His arrest, He kept going back to His disciples, asking them to wake and pray. The escape being taught here is the deception that we are and will be subjected to in the last days. Also the apathy and lethargy that will come from running out of patience, thinking it is time for God to do His thing! Why would we need to pray for strength if the escape here meant the rapture? God in His strength will do that, no strength on our part will hasten or help Him gather His people at the appointed time of His coming. Every time we are told to stay alert/pray for strength it’s to endure, persevere, hold out, keep going.

We do know that there are things Adonai intends to keep His Bride from experiencing, but the severity of all of this time period is not in keeping with His history from Genesis to Revelation. Our testing, refining by fire, come through great oppression. Never has God kept us from learning the lessons of depravity. Then applying those lessons to perseverance then to character that leads to letting go of selfish wants to escape and instead changing our hearts to reach out and enter into the service of snatching those that are lost and witnessing and tending the wounds as we wait, trust and believe…in the darkest hour…He will come! Just ask any survivor of the Holocaust. Ask those who stood as Titus wrecked the 2nd temple, trapping and starving those in the city to the point that they ate their own children! (70 AD, after Yeshua had died and ascended).

The hour, dear brothers and sisters will be very dark this time as well, we will rend our garments and our knees will be bloody from the posture of prayer and kneeling of service to His sheep. But we will know to be looking “up”, we will know that His coming is nigh, and with our hearts fully turned upon Him we will wait patiently that all may know Him! The signs are already neon and blinking all around us, we don’t need more, nor do we need to fixate on the day He will come. This day won’t take us by surprise, only those who don’t know what it means to tend His estate, feed His sheep, keep our lamps full of His oil…(these will not be trapped and looking for a way of escape.) Those who do not will. Until then we are to teach and encourage these things He’s so graciously given us as directions to guide us through some very hard times. Sticking to His plan not trying to get Him to see the wisdom of ours!

Don’t be an escape artist! Be the artist of His shalom! HIS LIGHT! Encourage! Lift up and help each other prepare for the times ahead, praying unceasingly and holding out the hope that is real – He’s coming! Coming soon! May we be found working, and holding tight to the fringes of His tallith until then!

Go with God!

πŸ•Ž Grace and peace be yours in abundance in union with our Messiah Yeshua πŸ”― King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Amen πŸ•―

Truth, Justice and God’s Way

January 19, 2017 at 4:38 am (Remodeling the Mind, Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , )

The following link (at the bottom) inspired this blog. Actually it and many other documentaries I’ve been watching for a while now. Honestly I was unsure what was driving me to watch these real life stories. Some were very inspiring and dealt more with acts of nature and the hardships people over-came to move on, most were, sadly, the moving forward after another human being caused harm and suffering to them and those they loved. These are called crimes. It took some time but Adonai has finally began to speak into His pulling me into this documentary marathon I seemed to have been running.

The documentary below is graphic in many ways, more in depth than most and longer. If you choose to watch it, please be aware of children who may happen upon you as you do. This film is the best film to put all the points I’m about to make into perspective. It’s raw nature has a stunning balance that is rare in documentaries and, of course, as I’m drawn to…God gets an amazing glory in the end. All the points here are capable of standing on their own without viewing it however.

I realize these question have been asked before; in multitudes of ways. The concept isn’t new, the answers…well no less complex…sort of. Perhaps sometimes God puts us in front of these questions in more intimate settings and has us write out the process to solidify it for our own walk in this life. I lean in this direction. Though He often asks us to share for the purpose of someone else, yes, even just one other person, His work in you will be used in His work in them. I pray these writings only do what He intended.

What would a society be like if:

β˜† The “old sexual code” of proper conduct was the norm and the only accepted method – legally, morally, ethically?

Definition: No sex before marriage. Sex is viewed as sacred and private between adult men and women (plural in context not in number of persons at one event). Sex is only sacred between those two individuals of commitment before God and man on their wedding day. Sex with a child, animal, same sex person, or family member is a CRIME, punishable by death. Why? Simply put, sex ANY other way kills something extremely valuable to God.

β˜† God’s rules of justice was adopted by society

Definition: Don’t murder, don’t lie, don’t covet, don’t take lightly His Name – meaning His character, don’t dishonor parents, don’t commit adultery – unfaithfulness in marriage – this being considered a value BEFORE marriage; that faithfulness to one’s spouse begins the day they are born for the one God has set aside for them. Thus rendering experimental, recreational, better put, premarital Sex – WRONG.

God is indeed God, no other God will be tolerated, not because of rules but because any other thing given His place will lead to the utter heartbreaking corruption of the person God created. All other instructions will be broken without fail if these two are not the focus – the beginning and end of all moral judgement.

Remember to give God one day. (Remember the Sabbath) Just to Him – rest for that day; the needs and cares of the whole world will be cared for by Him and only Him on this day. How can He prove it if we’re constantly in control? This builds our trust and proves further…God is in control. And for good reason!

β˜† Questions and ponderings

Who was the first to introduce the death penalty?

How does Yeshua (Jesus) without nullifing God’s previous dictates fulfill them all with justice?

What is the true sign of repentance?

God knew that child abuses and societal influence of all kinds would be a factor in any crime committed in all those instructions from Genesis to Leviticus for balance and justice. What does this say about His methods of instruction?

Trust and obey – God is the only One worthy of such from anyone. Only He knows the balance point between good and evil, right and wrong, lies and deceit and ignorance and naivety, innocence and willfulness, cause and effect.

Did God make/create murders, rapest, adulterers, cheats, etc?

Haven’t we all murdered in our thoughts? (This is where all physical acts begin) He created me and you. We have all lied, cheated, adulterated. In our thoughts, when we lie, we steal from someone. Everyone is owed the truth as a standard of conduct in the Kingdom of God. And rape? Again starting in the thoughts, none sees and most will never show they existed. Rape is non-consentual sex. Has everyone consented to all our imaginings? Sound extreme or over-the-top? Again the questions are pointed at the possibilities of society if such things were viewed this way and acted on accordingly. Would porn have ever been born? Would any inappropriate sexual act or deed be subject to leniency or acceptibility which has indeed led to the corruption of society?

β˜† Questions everyone should find the answers to. (Yes, the word “should” got used…without apology)

What is the difference between God’s true ways and the many ways the church has distorted them? Ie: exorcism, branding, legalism, judgement.

Why did Yeshua accept death on the cross? Keeping in mind, yes, He was innocent, but on that cross He took every sin ever committed and that would ever be committed on Himself!

How do all these things, these questions, these answers impact a life? Yours, mine, the neighbor, the community, society?

β˜† Truths Indisputable

God alone makes, creates, shapes. Man gets ahold of these and as soon as they try to change it, even ever so slightly, these things become dysfunctional. In other words, they can no longer be cherished and enjoyed as He designed them.

God made: man, woman, earth, space, marriage, Sex, relationships/family, balance, Justice, life, death, forgiveness, mercy, truth, grace, compassion, kindness, patience, long suffering, giving/generosity, hope, peace, love.

When anything He made gets altered they become the twisted polar opposite, they act against instead of for.

Only God can be troubled or sort out the details of something so complex as a human being, created in His image, so hated by His enemy. A human justice system? How can one expect perfection within it? There are more things we need not know than we need to know. So many things we need to simply be able to trust and obey, for there is no other way! Too many opinions, to many postings and publications of things we need not concern ourselves with. I wonder how much medication people would stop needing for anxiety if they just didn’t hear, see, and know so darned much these days. I know the jurors of the case below will never ever be able to remove the images and details of that case from their minds. It could be argued that it may be for good reasons, it could also be argued against all good reasoning! That is: if humans keep thinking of those things. God isn’t Teviah from Fiddler on the Roof, He’s not up there saying… “On the other hand…but on the other hand…”  He is capable, and by that it means, completely perfect and split-second fast, at knowing every second, every instant, every occasion, every event, of everyone involved in everything, taking all things into consideration and doing the right thing. Period. Only God. So what? if we just can’t let go of controlling things trying to “understand” everything…what if…what if we just did it God’s Way?

We can. I can, I will by the grace given by Yeshua, the Holy Spirit. It begins with just one day, all those little choices, God’s Way, not mine. Society as we read in the Truth called the Word of God will not operate according to Gods ways, not right now. But…our homes can. These will effect other homes…which will effect our community…which may effect revival in some small section of society. BUT! The impact on our true Home, with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, where they have come to make their home in you and me…eternity ripples, souls praise, heaven is singing that tune as we speak (errr…or read πŸ˜‰). As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

Lessons in Set Apart (Holiness) – Part 1

December 7, 2016 at 12:47 am (Remodeling the Mind, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , )

Caleb and his 8 year old daughter, Halayia were sitting at the park feeding the resident geese. The many flocks of spring and summer had flown south, the park was quiet, settling in to the crisper air of winter. The greese breath was visible as they gathered for the crumbs.

Caleb and Halayia took this path as they walked home from Halayia school. The park workers were finishing up the holiday decor. Halayia watched them, absent-mindedly tossing her crumbs. Caleb could see her little gears spinning and smiled, he knew a question was about to emerge. He sent up a request that the Lord would place the answer in his heart before he heard the question. Those gears were seriously grinding on something big.

“Papa?” came the sweet voice of his first born daughter. He smiles.

“Yes, Layia?” He threw another handful of crumbs.

“Why don’t we celebrate Christmas anymore? We used to, and I don’t understand. I miss the lights and all the stuff we did then. My friends all do, and Gail invited me to a church play, but Mama says no. Everybody does it, but us it seems.” The sadness and dejection in her voice broke Caleb’s heart.

Oh boy Lord, help me here.

“When is your birthday Layia?” The words were out before he realized it.

A confused face looked up at him. “May 6th, Daddy, you know that. I’m talking about Christmas.” Bright green eyes beheld him with question.

“Yes, I know, now when is Jesus birthday?” Caleb tried not to smile as he could see the Lord had heard his prayer and was answering. He began to see where this was going.

Halayia’s face scrunched in introspection.

“It’s not December 25th, but I don’t know….eerrr…I don’t remember His birthday day.” she thought more out loud than in answer.

“You’re right, His birthday isn’t on Christmas and today you will perhaps remember His real birthday from now on because you have asked these questions. But, before I tell you His actual birthday day, let me ask you…How would you feel if we celebrated your birthday on say… Alice’s birthday?”

Halayias face again scrunched up, this time in a form of disgust. Alice was a girl at school who was constantly belittling Halayia because she was a Christian. Many a tearful face had greeted Molly and Caleb from Layias sweet face after school from hurtful things Alice did.

“I would be very mad, Daddy, why would we do that? Halayia tossed another crumb-full down hard on the ground. a piece hit a goose on the nose and made it squack and flutter it’s wings.

“Absolutely, that would be very crazy, huh? You are a bit young dear Layia, but there is a long history to learn about Christmas and how it came to be, and if you’re willing we shall begin to teach you. But right now, let just say that how Christmas started was by people who worshiped the god Isis and this god was just Satan trying to fool these people. But in the real world, God’s world, Jesus’s world, His birthday got mixed up with His enemies party and over the years people tried to make it better and added to it to include Santa Claus and many things. So in truth people don’t even realize they arecelebrating  Satan’s idea of a holiday for him but somehow because some Christians wanted to make it a good holiday, most now think that it’s Jesus’s birthday they celebrate instead. So you see, Layia, it would be like celebrating your birthday on Alice’s, who doesn’t like you because you love Jesus, but worse because Satan is actually Jesus’s enemy, while Alice is foolish and deceived, she is not your enemy. Does that make sense?” Deep inside Caleb took a deep breath, inviting the Spirit to open his daughters mind to understand what was a very complicated thing.

Halayia was quiet for a few moments, many emotions rolling across her face as her little mind and heart worked to process. Slowly…

“Well, it must hurt Jesus a lot since everybody has changed his birthday and they don’t know… Do they?…I mean, even Christians, our church, our family, who loves Jesus, they all do! How can they not know? Daddy, why doesn’t Jesus tell them?” Halayia was perplexed still, but Caleb could see she was grasping the truth.

“He does tell them. Just like your mommy and I learned the truth, everyone can learn it too. But just like you, it’s hard to change, to stop celebrating like everyone else, when it seems innocent and harmless. Especially for those who think they can say they are really celebrating Jesus so it doesn’t matter. But, Layia, always remember it’s not what you think of anything in this life but what God thinks that matters most, and He is very serious about the truth of things, it’s His thoughts we must take our actions on. He had a very special reason for sending His Son, Jesus, to be born when He did, the exact day and hour has meaning. HIS birthday is the most important birthday ever, we must be careful to honor God’s timing and ways. As you grow older He will teach you how very special each moment and event in your life has lots of meaning, but Jesus birthday is full of all the meanings of all the lives on earth in one Man. We want to honor that, so we don’t have anything to do with what makes Jesus birthday less. God says have NOTHING to do with evil. Sometimes, like now, that’s hard. The lights are pretty, the plays are well done, the gifts are fun, the songs and shows seem innocent and seem to be good, but to God its like everyone has decided to go to Satan’s party and this makes Him very sad.” Caleb began to gather the bags, now empty of crumbs. The sun had fallen behind the horizon. Darkness was encroaching. Halayia perceived they were leaving and took his hand.

“Does it make God happy that we don’t celebrate Christmas?” the question was full of more. More than just the one, as all things rich with a heart that longs to please God. Caleb’s heart soared.

“Yes, my cub, yes it makes Him happy. But more than that, it make us closer to Him, His presence is like you and me, here in this park, talking, feeding the geese and loving to be together. It gives us joy too! He can teach us many things when we are trusting Him and obeying. Especially when it’s hard. I’m sorry it is hard for you dear Layia to not be able to join in with so many things. I’m very sorry that your mommy and I did not realize before what Christmas was and we celebrated and it makes you miss it. Will you forgive me?” Caleb had stopped and knelt down in front of his precious gift God had given him to teach and lead.

Halayias little gloved hands reached for her Papa’s cheeks and she put her head in his forehead.

“Of course, Papa, I didn’t know either, will you forgive me? Maybe we can make a party for those who won’t go on going to Satan’s party. It could be like Moses and the Israelites who put the blood over their doors. Well just let it pass right by!” Halayia said with lighthearted fun.

Caleb teared up, what an amazing little person you have given me dear God!

He scooped Layia up with a big whoosh!

“Yes, let’s go home my cub! We shall talk to mommy and Josh and come up with a way to let all this pass over and party in God’s love together!

Amos 5:14-15

Seek good and not evil, so that you will survive. Then Adonai (the Lord) will be with you as you say He is.  Hate evil, love good and uphold justice at the gate…

Proverbs 1:15

My son, don’t go along with them, don’t set foot on their path.

Proverbs 4:14-15

Don’t follow the path of the wicked or walk on the way of evil doers. Avoid it, don’t go on it, turn away from it, and pass on.

2 Timothy 2:19

Nevertheless, God’s firm fountain stands, stamped with these words:

“The Lord knows His own” and, “Let everyone who claims he belongs to the Lord stand apart from evil (wrongdoing).”

Psalms 37 – all of it.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22

Moreover, it is God who sets both us and you in firm union with the Messiah; He had anointed us, put His seal on us, and given us His Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee for the future.

Revelation 2:5-7

Therefore, remember where you were before you fell, turn from this sin, and do what you used to before. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your menorah from its place – if you don’t turn from your sin! But you have this in your favor: you hate what the Nicolaitans do – I hate it too. Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic communities. To him winning the victory I will give the right to eat from the Tree of Life which is in God’s Gan-‘Eden (Garden).'”

The Joy of Being Part of God’s Kingdom

November 18, 2016 at 2:38 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , )

I was born into the world of Christianity. my parents were saved, most of my influential family members were saved. We went to church on Sunday, observed the holidays in view of God’s purpose in it – as best as it was taught to us. So the importance of all these things seems to have afforded me a foundation, right?

I’ve been reading Nehemiah. Chapters 8 – 10 are eye opening in relation to these things. Obviously, a blog post doesn’t afford to print out these chapters word for word. I rely upon your own seeking to read these for context. The basics here is this: God started a church here. Just look at all these people did, their commitment, their passion, their zeal and. …their JOY! I thought to myself, “I didn’t see that when I was young, and I don’t think my children did either.” It’s a disheartening thought.

To be fair to those who served the Lord within the church, pastoral staff, worshipers, teachers, leaders and servers, I’d like to qualify: there are no fingers of blame in this blog. Nor to my family, parents or any other sector of fault finding avenue. There is nothing in my heart or mind following such paths with this.

To learn from the past, apply in the present, in order to make a legacy. We must go back and find where our own thoughts, formulated opinions were influenced and formed. We must see where WE, ourselves, went wrong, not the masses, organizations, or institutions. These only have power to influence, not form. Yeshua (Jesus) proves this.

After more study, ending up in many other books of the Word, I’ve noticed a huge impact.

Read Deuteronomy 5:29-6:8.

When I think of conversation that flowed in my own family as a child, and then my own family with my own children. These scriptures are hard. The conclusion I come to is nobody knows how to do this very well. To talk excitedly about how cool God’s Word is, how His ways are so impressive, and trustworthy. To apply this context to everything we see, touch, smell, and do everyday. Somehow entertainment started to take presidence. I remember thinking it was hard, not fun to memorize scripture. Sometimes due to the fact that it was given as a task for punishment. Mostly because there was no context given as joy and application to its meaning in my life, where I was, at the time. Everything stayed on the level of salvation (what can be done for me). There didn’t seem to be more than that. What pleases God, what doesn’t. Yet what brings Him joy, this seemed to be missing. To the mind in my generation, I believe humans in general, but I’ll stick to my generation; What pleases God wasn’t connected to His joy, but rather His appeasement. No one delighted when I did the right thing, they only moved in swiftly when I didn’t. Everything had to be entertaining, this push was started before my generation, but by the Eighties this was epidemic. Worship was the only place I saw joy in church. The music was amazing, the show was fun. God’s Word was the duty part, not the highlight. The teachers had to be dynamic or “gifted” as many put it. I never met a “gifted” Sunday school teacher. No disrespect to them. At that time even school was not really about learning except to the geeks. It was about finding in our peers what was missing at home. So “Sunday school” it seemed to me was the same. The church seemed to be teetering on this brink of ‘stand out’ but acceptably. Set apart was taboo and meant alienation, most of my peers already felt this at home. Alienation from God never occurred to me as the saddress thing.  So one can see why appeasing God this way held little appeal. Not that it’s ever held appeal anyway. History again repeats this point. The world slowly invaded my perception of right and wrong. The passion and joy of talking about God and His ways as we walk on the way, sit or rise, etc…this was never introduced to me. I couldn’t give what I never got. The church became the teacher of children. Parents either didn’t know how or were too busy to fit it in. On both I stand guilty as charged. My heart breaks that my passion and joy in the Lord and His ways that I have now, was not there when my kids were young. There are good things my family passed on, faithfulness. I remained steady in my quiet time and church going. I am grateful to God for His grace and mercy in this. Yet now, I watch my children with their children and see that even these aren’t repeated. Life’s heavy burdens keep them down. The church has lost its calling to share, split up and divide and help. Government organizations now have the overwhelming task that God meant His People to provide. Families of origin must be wealthy or they can only simply pray and cry and hurt with those within that struggle so much. Again the passion and joy of sacrifice and serving are lost. While there are programs in churches designed to help, the politics and overwhelming needs stunt it’s progress. It has been lost for too long, now the task is daunting. The me-ism of society is a cancer that has reached the marrow of the body of Christ. Again it’s the Joy and passion of God’s ways that are missing here.

How did I find this joy and passion? When my whole being started seeking God in every way, in everything, at all times. Really seeking Him knowing Him. This is today’s speak for seeking Him with all your heart, mind and soul.  How I wish I’d have started sooner! Yet, as the Word of God says. ..His timing is perfect. So I must trust. Trust that this is the appointed time for these words, to the eyes that will read them, and perhaps turn faces up to Him to effect what changes He may direct.

Deuteronomy 8:2-3; Malachi 3:10; Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 13:5-8; 1 Thessalonians 5:21; 1 John 4:1

The above scriptures all have a common theme, and I think much value in gaining passion and joy in the Kingdom of God. It’s an invitation to test, scrutinize, see for yourself that God is good, reliable, His ways work! They more than “work” they are amazing! It’s a joyous invitation, delightful adventure, and full of fulfilment. Do we example and communicate this to people around us? Well, first, we must discover for ourselves the truth of it! I pray if nothing else, curiosity is raised here, perhaps there is something missing, something far more real and attainable in this walk with God than has ever been invited before.

Hear His voice, the One who wants more than anything to be known, put all things before us with the shouting invitation to “Come and see, taste that the Lord is good” so that we can truly teach our children such, truly live such and therefore persuade a neighbor, Co-worker, friend, family member, stranger. ..that this invitation is such a wonder and joy that it’s pursuit will neither drudge nor bore but give passion and joy, such as this world would pale to emulate or try to educate.

I pray for our world full of families with children who have children who desire to give them everything. … Adonai, is everything. …come and see!

Grace and peace in the name of Yeshua the Messiah😊
