God’s Ways: Rerouting Perspectives

Exodus 33:14-15;16b
He (Adonai) answered, “Set your mind at ease – My presence will go with you after all.” Moses replied, “If Your presence doesn’t go with us don’t make us go on from here…
That is what distinguishes us, me and Your people, from all other people’s on earth.”

Has it ever occurred to you that God so often used very odd circumstances to get in to a place deep within us, that has absolutely nothing to do with the circumstances themselves? He sets the board, and what we see moves us forward accordingly. As things progress, it becomes rather obvious that He’s moving in through back doors to the goal He had in mind. Almost as if He distracts us with our limited vision and surface prone tendencies, to sneak in where we wouldn’t have went with Him any other way. I’ve experienced this on many occasions, recently as well. The past experiences didn’t que me in to look for His back door agendas in any of these cases. When God wants to move in behind something, no human on earth can track His movements until He’s reached His destination! Only then, can we look back and trace His path, but not until He’s popped up in the seemingly most intentionally sneaky way. It’s been said repeatedly before: “if we saw where God was leading us, we’d most often recalculate our GPS in the other direction.”

image

At the end of October, 2015 God pointed His finger, very obviously, in the direction of a new location, new plan, and said “go buy a house, in that place.” We were set on a different location for moving, our plans moved north with our hearts, Montana was home. He pointed South. Our plans were to move into an RV and with our new business travel, live simple, and find a home base in Montana at some point. Sick of moving, sick of all the stuff that one accumulates in a house or apartment, we wanted to be free of it, and mobile to go where God said go. All very good intentions, none violating any will of God, but still not His will for us, however our perspectives saw it.

image

So the house hunt ensued, we found one, and all hell broke loose in the process. Two months of grinding, stressful and rest stealing work began. Staying close to Him, we followed every step, endured crazy situations, and wound up with it all falling through. Not the results we humans expect when we feel we’ve done all God asked of us. Yet even at this place, we trusted and went forth on another house hunt (it continues). All the while, God was with us and went before us, we knew that. What wasn’t obvious was that He was slipping in behind us, moving into the center of us, arriving at His intended destination, our hearts, His Home, not a relocation or house on earth. God knows us so well, we don’t face things unless we’re forced to. Circumstances are the forces He uses to bring us to that inner mirror, the one that reflects us back at ourselves but not only do we see ourselves but we can’t avoid seeing ourselves as He sees us in these moments. It’s a faithfulness on His part to go so great a route to get us there. We don’t need to just see ourselves, we need to see ourselves with Him. All the grace and mercy He has to give is ready there. If we just see ourselves, raw and rotten, without Him – we will be lost and walk away without remembering what we look like. But with Him, as hard as that reflection may look with His perfection hovering about us, there’s a pivotal transformation that becomes possible. The circumstances that brought us there, fades into the background becoming relatively insignificant. The house, the place, those were and are insignificant compared to His presence and passion to develop His character in the home Yeshua and His Father took up residence in the day we turned our souls back into Their care. (John 14:23)

image

At this juncture, Adonai has revealed His path into the back yard of our hearts, and we are now “getting down to business”. The house hunt continues, relocation all on the horizon, but the real work is right where we are, no matter where we are geographically. Big things that have been hidden and slipped through the cracks are being reflected in His eyes, ever so compassionately and full of that grace that pours out like roaring rivers, Sam and I stand at this place of healing intent. I reach my arms out wide to receive whatever shall keep me here until He has done all He shall do. I pray my beloved will do the same. I have confidence in the work of my God and His ways. More to be revealed. ..but today its enough to know He’s with us. That this alone is what distinguishes us as His – His presence – nothing more, nothing less. We hover at the mirror, eyes on Him and tracking His finger where He is pointing within, waiting on the grace, holding onto the new mercies He’s promised this morning will provide, yielding to His hands as they reshape the clay that these circumstances have softened enough to submit to Him. And once again, we wait. ..He works, we wait. He shapes, we yield. He holds us, we lean into being held.

A quote from Wayne Stiles book Waiting on God.

This section comes from the chapter titled Letting Go.

To resist or resent the time God’s priorities require amounts to resisting God.
Waiting on God reminds us of those facts. Waiting keeps us humble. Waiting shows us over the passing of time that it’s all about God and none of it is about us – except to the degree that we glorify Him. Remember, the goal is God’s glory, not our productivity or personal fulfillment. In our waiting, God weans us from the pride of having to control everything or understand matters “too difficult for” us (Ps. 131:1). God chooses how we glorify Him. He alone selects which of His servants will produce what levels of output – and yet, He also rewards faithfulness on any level with equal commendation (see Matt. 25:14-23).
God works through our waiting to strengthen our character through weakness, to develop our peace of mind by trusting Him in chaos, to teach us that we can glorify Him just as much by waiting on Him as we can by serving Him. When we choose to find our fulfillment in His glory, then we can wait on Him to open the door of greater influence in His time. That’s really His business entirely. Ours is to live faithfully wherever He puts us now.
God’s timing knows it’s own reasons. Perhaps the delay occurs to test how seriously we will pray. Our maybe, in spite of all we’ve learned, God still has more to teach us. Our maybe the delay has little to do with us at all – because it depends on someone else responding to God.
Whatever the reasons, I’m convinced that in most cases God delays because He wants to give us more than we’re asking for. He loves us enough to wait to give us His best rather than to satisfy our impatience with a quick, cheap substitute. That’s why we mustn’t equate His delay with a deaf ear. Sometimes what seems like God’s apathy is really His mercy.
Slammed doors do more than bend your nose; they keep your heart pliable, sensitive, and available to God’s leading. Not only does He keep secret the difficult valleys you’ll experience (and many of the mountaintops) but also the tremendous lessons you’ll glean no other way. Lessons you didn’t know you needed to learn. Lessons you’ll thank Him for one day. You may fail to recognize God using you significantly because you define God “using you” in terms of what you consider significant: results. God defines results in terms of character. Words like productivity and efficiency remain conspicuously absent from the fruit of the Spirit (see Gal. 5:22-23). These results of God working in your life all reflect character – His character. Character alone produces godly results.
– end quote, (they came from various sections; in order but with some left out for length shortening purposes)

Internals and Externals

September 8, 2015 at 5:23 am (Remodeling the Mind, Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

image

It’s amazing how we gravitate towards externals. Isn’t it so much easier to paint the fingernails that show signs of malnutrition but we just “see” how marred (different/not perfect) they are. So we cover it up. We invent miraculous ways to sharpen the outter image. God made the human body so able to withstand such poison and punishment, truly its a wonder that the last three generations have reproduced at all much less lived past the age of 25. I’ve been to a number conferences, they were not at all medical in nature. Most were spiritual, for some ministry or topic related as a retreat. At one in particular, a medical doctor took the podium and began to speak about the incredible work God did in every cell, every system in our bodies. The room pulsated with awe, hushed, most of us barely dared breathe, yet all the sudden we couldn’t help but pay close attention to the sound of our breath, the rhythm of our hearts, the blinking of our eyes and the wonder that we were able to zero in on at least a dozen functions of our bodies at once without any problem at all. The best computer in the world still has light years to come close to what God made our bodies and minds capable of. (I do not believe He will ever allow computers,or anything man makes, to come close, either)

The number of the things capable of killing the human body instantly – is small. The number of things that will slowly but surely kill it over time…well its never been calculated. Let’s just say, it’s beyond the number of people alive on the earth today. It’s likely you who are reading this right now have put more poison in your body than pure and simple nutrients. There’s no blame involved here, 90% of people don’t really know it. Of those that do, about 2% of those really discipline themselves to the degree nesassary to begin the process of letting the mechanisms God created to literally cure and heal itself, just like our skin does with a minor cut. Yet everybody must be blind not to see the internal effects of the external shell we live in. Bones with no nerves ache, cartlage and ligaments waste away, memories completely shut down. The number of children alone in the last decade that read 3 as an E, is mind boggling. These things are NOT “normal” as God designed them. Normal to our culture, yes, but only due to the dullness that comes from ignoring the signs of internal malfunction by cutting off the warning signal (pain) with poisonous over the counter pain killers or worse chemical “circuit-cutters” called pharmaceuticals. There’s a pill for every ill. The “easy” generation is here.

The point here is this: we cannot put external “fixes” on and expect the internal to go along. God will not change the rules of function. The sun must come up from the east and set in the west, no matter how convenient we may think it would be to reverse it; or if you will, how inconvenient the eastern rise may be to us on any given day. God cannot change who He is, and what He has made IS who He is. If we want the skin He created us to have we must feed the body that which it requires, but most importantly, we must stop putting the skin damaging stuff INSIDE the body first. The skin is the bodies last filtration system. If you see a breakdown in it somewhere, the problem within has likely been going on for years and by now has corrupted every system. The same goes with our spiritual skin. If sin is unable to be overcome, it’s likely the internal system has been grossly overlooked (I’m not talking strickly psychology, but physiology and most importantly – mentality). We are TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of our minds. Is your mind made up? How changeable is it? And how willing are you to simply act on its Creators blueprint for its health? (In other words, act on trust alone and do what He says without hesitation) Do the statistics above begin to make sense?  Does His Word? FEW are they who travel down the road of internal correction and realignment to its Creators design. There’s no easy button this way. Sleep will be lost. The very concept of comfort and convenience will fade away from the motivation center of our being. The concept of free, meaning you pay nothing and get something, will find itself an endangered species of the mind. The very thought that one can pick and choose what things they believe in God about, will begin to cause actual physical pain, due to the nature of it dysfunctional motion to our souls. The correct order of believing is… Who is God?, what does He say?, what does He believe? – “now, self, go along with Him whether you feel like it or not“, the basic muscle group is now – trust. It’s the brains of our faith – trust. The heartbeat is action. Everybody knows without brain activity and a heartbeat no body is alive. The mind must be in constant transformation (internal) or the heartbeat will be irregular. Hense, the body will be in dysfunction (external). Getting your stomach reduced to stop eating, will in effect only make you eat more with less of what God gave you to process the food. Saying “I believe in Jesus” while your actions say you do not is a lie. Like saying, “I ate yesterday” when in fact you consumed no food. No one may know that you lied, but God did. Gods ears reach to the furthest reaches of silence and sound. He made us, we cannot lie to Him, only to ourselves and others.

My granddaughter is reading an interesting book. It’s called Dumb Bunny. I’ve no interest in who the author is, save I know where they got their theme. (Satan). She asked to read it to me today. Delighted, ipulled up a chair. It starts out in diary form of a child. They called a classmate, dumb bunny, and their teacher said to stop. So, the child concludes, that they will just say it in the mind, because the mind is silent. My six year old granddaughter is being indoctrinated by illusions! So, I say to her, as she reads (she is giggling at the sneaky nature of the text) “Ahhh, but God hears the mind, huh Izzy?” My eyes fill with tears even now, as my precious granddaughter, already six years old, looked at me with defiance and said, “Sooo?” Shrugging her shoulders as if there was not one merit in thinking of God. But let me show you where there is hope. She then felt so uncomfortable reading this book after that, that she quickly lost interest. I could SEE the conscience God gave her making her squirm. I praised God for it! She’s not broken, just illiterate. Uneducated to the God who created her, but she is only six and God in that moment woke her up just a little. I pray He will invade her world! Passion for the truth to invade her external need to externally “treat” what can only be internally healed. God beamed His Light into her mind with my words, and she was uncomfortable with herself! Glory to God!

There is no silent mind to God, the sounds of our internal world are sonically booming in heaven. Our internal is the key. Actions only speak louder than words because the shouting from the mind will vibrate the whole body. The word – heart – in Hebrew means the mind, thoughts, that which makes up the substance of our actions.

image

Create in me, a clean heart, O God, and RENEW a right spirit within me.

This Psalms speaks a thousand words, it focuses correctly; on the e-ternal and in-ternal, for the key to the ex-ternal and temporal. Physically we will represent what spiritually is the center of all things. We can start taking vitamins, but if we don’t eliminate the poison from our diet, the vitamins will do us very little good.

In this day and age, how can this message not be relevant? How can we possibly not begin to stop treating this topic like a Sunday school lesson and start treating it like the very substance of our living? Join me, dear fellowsheep, in dropping to our internal knees and repeatedly asking for God to teach us the vital importance of the internal. For the courage to be an internal Light in an external world, yes, to its discomfort!

Reliable Resourses

April 7, 2015 at 2:57 pm (Remodeling the Mind, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , )

image

I was listening to a well respected, God fearing, wonderful pastor today. I will not name – not out of shame but so as not to give a finger to point at or hand to applaud. This pastor would agree any applaud belongs to God, and finger pointing can only and ultimately be resolved by approaching God as well. Listening to Him speak into things that rub us the wrong way, make no sense, or challenge our memory banks of beliefs, morals, and wisdom is the cure for finger pointing 🙂

image

The pastor was speaking about the church. He gave a list of things that should be found within it. All Biblically based, on both old and new testaments, all full of Wisdom. These pointed to the only Reliable Resource that exist. Elohim, Adonai, God, Yeshua, the Spirit of the Living God – I Am. There were 6 points made. The last was that the church should be a source of trustworthy, reliable truth. Who can argue with such? Not me.

image

The challenge for me is; what should the church encompass as reliable resources of truth? Just spiritual? As a matter of priority I’d say absolutely. Then question becomes;
What effects and involves all things spiritual?”

I know of one church, one, that has found a list so expansive it is hard to argue that it thrives as it does. That’s not to say there are not more, I’m one individual, with, in true perspective, a very small view of the entire world. Though I try to be very thorough in my research and time spent “turning rocks over” in diligence to seek the truth, I’m human and therefore limited beyond reckoning.

image

The resources at our disposal today are so vast it’s mind boggling. Its safe to say we don’t have the time to make use of them all. Yet, still, if one desires to find out the truth about anything, it’s just a few hours and a click away from many many of us.

image

For those who Follow Yeshua (Jesus), most of whom attend some church, this should be a place where the truth about everything under the sun is available. Everything about the Son too. The latter the priority, but no less important as the former.  If we are following Yeshua, we see His example and do as He did. He taught about everything emphasizing the heart in right standing with God, teaching who He is – this was first and foremost. But no less important than the things that effect our everyday living on this earth.

image

Here is where we find the gaping holes in the reliable resources given to those who attend churches today. It’s a “stay safe within the bounds of doctrine” mentality. Not without its importance this, but going nowhere outside of that is a weakness. The truth about the world’s and societal effects that we live in is crucial to the body of Yeshua. Where are the lies, all of them, that have bound us in our everyday living? What does God have to say about them? There are so many it’s overwhelming. Perhaps that’s why the church fails so dramatically. Things like:

– What does the effect of political and policy making within our governments have on our ability to discern right from wrong (or almost right)? This one gets hit on mildly but at best it grazes the out-skirts.

image

– Within the context of the above there are so many facets. The food industry. The medical industry. The standards for law making and keeping order in society. In American, these things effect everyone to such a degree that it effects our ability to take in spiritual truth. As Yeshua said, if we pray for someone but leave them hungry, sick, and needful,  how can the truth of the Spirit be heard? Here’s an example.

According to a report released yesterday by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the rate of antidepressant use in this country among teens and adults (people ages 12 and older) increased by almost 400% between 1988–1994 and 2005–2008.

The federal government’s health statisticians figure that about one in every 10 Americans takes an antidepressant. And by their reckoning, antidepressants were the third most common prescription medication taken by Americans in 2005–2008, the latest period during which the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) collected data on prescription drug use.

Here are a few other stand-out statistics from the report on antidepressants:

23% of women in their 40s and 50s take antidepressants, a higher percentage than any other group (by age or sex)Women are 2½ times more likely to be taking an antidepressant than men (click here to read a May 2011 article in the Harvard Mental Health Letterabout women and depression) 14% of non-Hispanic white people take antidepressants compared with just 4% of non-Hispanic blacks and 3% of Mexican Americans. Less than a third of Americans who are taking a single antidepressants (as opposed to two or more) have seen a mental health professional in the past year. Antidepressant use does not vary by income status.

What is causing such an epidemic? Is this not a legitimate question the leaders/shepherds of flocks should be asking? One out of every ten people sitting in the crowd on Saturday and Sunday are taking these medications.

image

Are we taught in the church how these drugs effect the ability for those taking them to hear and understand the Greatest Truth about the Great Physician who cures depression? Is this not a hugely important relevance to the body of Christ? Look at those percentages, one out of every 10 persons sitting in the pews at church are effected by this! Why isn’t this addressed as a reliable resource, relevant to our walk with God? Health and nutrition, how God designed the body and what He provided to make it functional? How can this be overlooked as relevant to the body of Messiah? What is going on in our governments to “pull the wool over our eyes” with basic stuff like how we eat, health care, and the industry that fuels these things? Why is this not spoken of in churches today? There is one as I said that I know of. One. Did not God address every detail to our daily living and interaction within the culture and society we live in in the Bible? Read Deutoronomy, Leviticus. Read Matthew 5 and 6, Yeshua did. Saul (Paul) went into great detail about such things. What has happened to our ability to discern what’s relevant to the body of Messiah? To learn these things one must go home and research these things outside the church. If a church is approached by such a question it responds with excuses and religious verbage that leaves the inquirer feeling shamed for their boldness for asking. If God is the Author of All truth, it stands to reason that in His house of worship and teaching all truth should be a topic for continual discussion, learning, exposing and therefore a place to release prisoners from the bondage of the lies that have snuck in and invaded the very basics of how people live. Right? Or almost right? I leave the question (s) in your very capable hands. Yeshua, the Father, and the Spirit all say “If you seek the Truth, you shall find it.”

image

Here is a piece of information that can help one see the relevance in connection to the information above about those on antidepressants. So when you look over to the tenth person from you next time in church you can ask yourself legitimately;

How is this truth of the Messiah our Savior able to be taken in, if that person is on a drug that can literally block the message?

FDA Black-Box Warning

Over time, the FDA has examined many cases regarding the suicidal risks involved with antidepressants. Based on studies showing some link to suicide, the FDA has made several changes to the labeling of antidepressants.

FDA Changes on Antidepressant Labeling 1990 FDA considers risk of antidepressants increasing suicidality in public hearing, but does not find enough evidence to change labels. 1996 FDA researcher writes to Pfizer to note the increased frequency of reports of suicidality in young patients during Zoloft clinical trials. October 2003 FDA warns doctors that studies cannot rule out increased suicidal thinking in children taking antidepressants.December 2003 British drug regulators advise doctors not to use certain antidepressants in children. Oct. 12, 2004 Former FDA chief safety investigator testifies even before Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft were on the U. S. market, he believed these drugs could cause mania, leading to violence. Oct. 15 2004 FDA orders all manufacturers of antidepressant medications to add a black-box warning that they may increase suicidality in children and adolescents. 2005 FDA sends out a public health advisory, warning that all antidepressants increase suicidal behavior in adults and announcing that studies of the effects of antidepressants would be under review. FDA goes on to review 295 individual antidepressant trials of 77,000 adults with major depressive disorder. As a result, health care professionals are informed of risk of suicidality. 2006 FDA recommends that children should not take Zoloft, as it increases suicidal thinking or behavior in 1 out of 50 young patients. FDA advises doctors to observe pediatric patients taking antidepressants once a week, face to face. 2007 FDA adds to the black-box warning on certain antidepressants, cautioning that increased suicidal thoughts and behaviors are a possible side effect of the medications for adults ages 18-24 during initial treatment. 2010 A study of nine years of data, published in 2010, shows that the suicide risk is the same across SSRI drug types.

image

Is the church really honoring God’s call to be a reliable resource for Truth today? It’s a question that weighs heavy on my heart. We have an enemy, whose sole task is to blind, and make lame in any way he can the people God has created to thrive in truth. He hates with a hatred that is inconceivable to mankind. He doesn’t stop. On the other hand, we have a God who says the truth can set us free, and He is that truth. He is bigger than the lies, and futile attempts to obscure Him. Yet we are called to be seekers of the truths that can free us. Love does conquer lies.Yet the information to do so must be made available to those for this to happen. If the church is where one is supposed to be able to go for such, why then does it skip such vital areas? We must hold ourselves accountable to such questions. Lives depend on it.

image

Rest assured God is in control, His plan is sure, and we need not react with alarm within the boundaries of such questions. But seek Him, and answer His call to act as He leads. This is a reliable resource, that He can speak right into our lives today and lead us in the way everlasting. There is no aspect of life He will not shed light into, if we seek, we shall find, and thereby be freed.

Truth for Living – Part 2

March 18, 2015 at 1:27 pm (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

image

I can’t think of a more sensitive subject in general than what people eat. The only other subject is Who they believe in and why. That comes close. I never really thought about it much truly. Most people, when talking about the subject of food, typically are talking about a great meal or bad one they had. Or they talk “turkey” about whose going to bring what to a dinner or picnic, invitations to a meal (out or at a home), or a new thing they tried that was “to die for”(and they might). Over the last five years cooking shows have come full swing, often conversations will roll over the latest episode of some show or another. But, just like most things in life, the “talk” bubbles at the surface but doesn’t really hit “home” – go somewhere that changes.

As a child I was raised in a meat and potatoes kind of family. My folks came from farming families. My grandpa on my mom’s side was “the health nut” – hence I never really paid much attention to his eating habits. Let face it, when your greater authorities call someone a nut of any kind, as a child, you tend to disregard them. My grandpa’s wife, my grandma, on the other hand was an alcoholic pumped so full of pharmaceutical meds and “junk food” – she was called a different kind of “nut”. I didn’t know my grandparents on my dad’s side, they lived far away, both geographically and relationally.

image

Soda was my childhood obsession. My grandma always had it, and I always got one there. In junior high school I began to sneak Pepsi home and I would drink it when I went to bed. Ugh! I, thank the Lord, I never really craved candies much, though I had my share. I craved salty and crunchy things more. So chips and granola bars were a fave. I did like my mom’s cooking, boy can she cook. Stews, chilies, chicken and mashed potatoes, even salads. Admittedly though, my liking for veggies grew broader as I aged. Broccoli was “yucky”, and I tolerated it as a youngster. LOVE broccoli now.

Mexican food became a sanity must for me. Everything was better with green chile and cheese. Chips and salsa to this day keeps my taste buds friendly. I never drank cows milk due to its complete disagreement with my stomach. Which was okay, as I didn’t care for the taste anyway. Chocolate milk was the only thing I would endure the punishment of drinking cows milk for.

Red meat. ..ahhh now there’s a substance I could be creative with! Brown a pound of ground beef with a little salt, pepper, and garlic and I was a happy gal. Don’t tell me beef is bad, I’ll change your mind first before mine would even try to reconsider. That is, until I hit 35 years old and it started to do the same thing to my gut that cows milk would as child. Is there such a thing a food depressed? It really bummed me out, how do I live without my beef?

image

Around the age of 30, my husband Sam and I learned of a thing called The Hallelujah Diet. (This is basically a vegetarian diet with a lot of fresh juicing) and dove in. Miracles happened in our bodies. Weight dropped off like leaves off a tree in autumn. Breath stopped sinking, farts too. Energy! Wow, I almost felt 18 again. We made one big mistake. We had a weekly cheat night. Nothing was off limits on cheat night and we indulged. Then winter hit. My mind just couldn’t bend around Colorado winters without beef stew, red chile, pot roast, etc. It lasted about six months and faded out as every single diet known to man will do. Heads up, if it’s called a diet, its temporary, always is. Though we did keep some things from the diet, juiced more regularly, took the vitamins, stopped drinking when we ate (the liquid dilutes the acids in the stomach, causing digestion to become sluggish). Little things, but the menu basically went back to before.

image

Enter our 40’s, dear Lord, we felt pains that those who were 60-80 were supposed to “normally” live with. Our heads began to start keeping time with our joints. About 8 months ago someone suggested we watch a documentary called Forks Over Knives. We did. And the Lord tapped again on the same spot as He did in our 30’s. Only this time the truth would hold us more responsible to accept it and let it change us or be ignorant and hope for the best. It did help that my hubby was pushing 300 lbs, and secretly experiencing cardiovascular problems (he didn’t tell me at the time, but I suspected). It was obvious we were both headed towards diabetes. Our health was on the verge of crisis even if we didn’t know how bad. We dropped our knives and grabbed our forks! The following 8 months have been a ride of education that rivals those who go to medical school! All of it shocking, and hard to “swallow” but as best we could we began to apply the truth to our way of eating and we will never go back to ignorance again.

image

Let me lay some ground work, as Adonai (the Lord) never begins a physical work before He begins a spiritual one. The surface of things always follows the inner working. (His words not mine, though paraphrased). He began by starting to heal our hearts and minds. We began to consume His Word as never before, and as result really got to know Him. Our thinking began to be renewed, and our hearts transformed just like His Word says. Thus, when He began to show us how He taught us waaaay back in the beginning how He designed us and thus the reason for the instructions, we started to “get it”. God knows what He’s doing. Better yet, He knows best how we should “do it”…all of it.
The entire Word of God began to read like “Here’s how I made you, how I made all things. If you do things the way I say, you will have the best possible experience in this fallen world possible. If not, you’ll consistently be aware of all that is fallen and rarely be able to focus on anything else. Thus, not the best possible experience.” Praise be and glory to God, we listened, applied the truths, and watched as our inner persons experienced the truth of that.

So when He began to put the truth about our physical bodies before us, our soil was ripe to receive. We are not dieting, we have turned (repented) from poisoning our bodies, as we turned (repented) from poisoning our hearts and minds. The turning is away from the world’s way (our own) and facing Adonai’s with commitment to stay facing Him.

image

The result? Again, pounds fell off our frame. Just with food changes alone, no excersize regimen was applied at the time. To be honest, with the weight and joint problems neither of us could exercise! Energy has began to be a thing we experience instead of just pray for and make jokes about in terms of it belonging to youth only.
Every single cardiovascular problem Sam had is completely gone. Both of our diabetic signs – gone. Aches and pains are reading at about a 4 out of ten now, and getting better by the day. We actually know what really enjoying our food is like, not that false high from before. Our actual bodies are thanking us, not just our taste buds. Food is now functional not just a stop for pleasure but future pain. The body is beginning to become one with the Spirit. It’s transforming let me tell you. Easy, not on your life!

Part one of this series was an introduction. It contained to links to not extremist of the deep end stuff. It’s the truth folks. Forks Over Knives is too. People are getting wind of it, look at your local grocery store, it’s changing. The “health food craze” isn’t for the health “nuts”, it’s for the human body that wants to operate the way God intended for it. Did you know God designed our bodies to heal themselves? Did you know that the way He designed them to was with the foods He directed us to eat thousands of years ago? Do you know that people are completely healing from cancer, diabeties, arthritis, chronic intestinal problems, thyroid diseases, ulcers, cardiovascular dysfunctions of every kind, to save time. ..everything. Not just getting rid of the symptoms, but actually solving the problem at the source so as to never have the discomfort of the symptoms EVER again. Does this not sound like what God does? Man tries to treat the discomfort, turn off the alarm, God goes to the source and loves it into wholeness.
The two links in part one are the tip of the iceberg about health. The amount of lies I’ve swallowed (literally) are quite frankly overwhelming. Part three will be a resource only post, for those whom Adonai has been preparing to apply more truth. I couldn’t begin to possibly tell it all. Quite frankly I’m still absorbing it and like an infant, wobbling on shakey legs in learning and application myself. God has been faithful to lead as He always is to exactly the right resources at the right time. Faithful to weed out the riff raff from the real mccoy. Faithful to prove He’s not just the God of hearts, minds, souls, but of our bodies as well and the planet we’ve been placed on; where He provided all we need to serve Him. I can’t tell someone “do this, and that” to make it sink in. As all truth, one must begin to live it and see for themselves. They must listen to their Maker to be remade. Or should I say, put back the way He made it. I’m not saying He doesn’t will for some to be sick, diseased and suffer physically. If that was true the Bible is replete with inconsistencies. I am saying though, that most of our “dis-eases” today are not a result of His movement, but our need to feed the pleasure centers of our brains and tongues instead of eat. The fast food, fast pace of life has severe consequences. Our medical and pharmaceutical industries are cashing in on our distracted and stressed out ignorance. And, may I say, our stubborn refusal to make the change away from the easiness of getting our relief with crap food because we don’t have time to show down and learn what’s important. Or, we don’t like to cook. Why do it yourself, when someone else can do it for you? Eat right, excersize, and die anyway. Right?
Wrong. Very very wrong. True our bodies will all take their last breath one day. But they don’t all have to be full of dis-eases when they do. Our children don’t have to “learn to live with” obesity, diabeties, asthma, allergies and all the debt that comes from finding pills that will try to take the symptoms down while causing twice as many problems as the one the pill was supposed to “fix”. They don’t. We don’t.
But we can. God will let us live to our convenience. But as He said, it won’t go well for us. He is faithful to make sure the truth about EVERYTHING that concerns us and those around us will be available should we seek it. It’s up to us to let the truth set us free.

image

Truthfully, it’s been pretty incredible learning how Adonai put our bodies together, how He designed the earth to nurture us. Although I’ve eaten a whole lot of humble pie, that has called me to change a lot of my ways; the information has also done nothing but exercised my trust muscles in Yeshua (Jesus), they may look lean. ..but they are strong! We’ve still got a ways to go in applying all this. And our bodies will heal but it will take some time. When something is true, it takes time to correct and learn and heal. But the results are beyond reproach or disputing. When something is true, it takes a bit of grinding against the pain of relearning and learning and keeping at it till “death do us part”. When something comes from The Truth it’s always 100 percent right, 100 percent of the time, but often doesn’t turn out like we think it should.

image

Sam and I know that God wants us to eat the way we do now, approach our health different. Yet, the results are not completely in. He may heal, but He may also still take us Home under the consequence of our bad choices for so many years. The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away, blessed be the Name of the Lord! The point to us, is that we are obeying Him, following His lead, witnessing to the Truths He reveals, and applying them as He instructs, trusting Him for the results alone. Ready to accept whatever He gives, or takes. Standing in awe of His designs, His ways, His faithful grace and mercy, His provision, and His person. We haven’t changed our way of eating and approach to health for those ends. We’ve changed to honor Him, to serve Him, and to worship Him – and Him alone.

We are not to obsess (stress) about what we will eat, wear, or how we will live. But He does give us the tools to do rightly, act justly and walk humbly with our God in all things. Not worrying, is not not caring, it’s taking one day at a time, and trusting He will provide. Both the truth to apply, and the resources to apply it. If it doesn’t come, He doesn’t think we need it.

image

It’s sad to me that so much of my life has been lived with truths right in front of me but I was to busy applying them my way to be free. Yet I’m thankful, and this post is a testimony that, His truths will win the day, and His work of freedom will overcome the bondage of our lack of faith and belief in Him. All of it has purpose, all of it will be made beautiful in His time. Take His hand, walk through the garden with Him, listen to Him tell you everything He made about you and do exactly what He says. No matter what it costs you. The final result will be such a freedom you will never again feel free to be ignorant again! And this is a very very good thing indeed!

God’s Care

October 21, 2014 at 12:43 am (Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , )

A nurse in a hospital could testify/witness to the Masterfulness of God’s careful attention of us. Words can not touch the detail of His care. If the nurse has 10 patients to care for; and each patient’s state is in need but not critical – they would find themselves with a full load of nurture and tasks to keep them busy for a full shift. Let all 10 patients become critical at once – and nurse must call for help; they simply could not tend to each in such a state by themselves.

Witness: words or actions that speak from experience (living action within).
Testify: words that recount what one has seen or observed.
God’s intent is to make us witnesses to the testimony we have heard.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob; Adonai, Elohim, Jehovah – He tends to each and every living thing with such detail and in every state of being. Let that sink in a bit.

Each – and – every – livingthing; stars, grass, weeds, bushes, trees, air, roots, every creature – airborne/waterborne/land-dwellers, crawling, creeping, running, leaping, burrowing, flying, nesting, hunting. Then each child – each human – which He claims as His special work of art. Billions upon billions in “critical condition” – all individually with exacting care. He is the first to notice a need and sends forth the remedy without delay.

Here is the most astounding thing to me. When He meets one individual need, it fulfills the needs of everyone that one effects – everything that one effects. Spirit and soul care is a Divine Job, and only the Kingdom of Heaven can dispatch its nurture. The task of physical and emotional needs are the easiest of task to God. He can use all people (whether they believe in Him or not) to tend anything or anyone. I, Lisa, a servant of Jehovah, by the grace of Yeshua (Jesus), in the strength of the Spirit testify and witness to these things.

The next time worry or stewing over a need comes – read again the words of witness that speak of why worry and stewing are thieves of His Joy.
(Ps. 148; Ps. 145; Ps. 136; Ps. 68:19-20; Ps. 65:9-13; Ps. 104:19; Gen. 8:22; Dan. 2:20-22; Jer. 5:24; Matt. 5:44-48; John 1:1-5; Acts 14-17; Col. 1:17)

Before the words form upon our lips- He knows each care. His dispatch is assured and precise. Ask immediately to have your eyes opened to His special touch. Look at Yeshua – who being ignored, ridiculed, tortured and broken – knew the Father was meeting an un-countable unfathomable number of needs – soul needs – at every moment. Covering each sin with the agony and blood of His Son – for all time. Let that sink in. In those moments… all of heaven was stretching the most crucial of care – forward and backward in time making eternity possible for the finite. Sin and all its effects are now under the dominion of Yeshua. We could literally lose every ability within our human bodies – but that one cure can never be compared. Hence we are whole.
He is called the Great Physician – but we must take out the image of a human doctor from our minds to fully understand what makes Him great. No human doctor holds the cure to anything. God may use them in His dispatch but they are as susceptible to those diseases and illnesses as the patient he or she treats. God will never “catch a cold”. His exposure to Ebola or any form of fleshly decay heals the very nature of its mission. It is humanly impossible to even imagine such power. Yet, we can “see” it – have seen it. Always when Yeshua healed someone physically – He first had to cure their inner blindness to the real disease that ate at them. When suffering and hardship comes upon us – our greatest vulnerability is always inner blindness. A sort of leprosy of soul. That which shrinks God down into the smallness of our vision, our limitations, our incompleteness. Us without Him – the opposite of His Name – God with us; Emmanuel. God can start a car without an engine; no gas. God can heal a wound by infecting it. God can change all the “rules” we live by and turn them inside out and make them more effective. In His Kingdom – gravity pulls everything to Him – up, down, side to side, wherever He is that is where “the drop” is. We live forever in Him because He makes all things new. This word – new – means something not known before – new; undiscovered, now dis-covered. Not new as in an old car verses a new car. He can make an old car new. Not by hours of labor replacing old parts persay. By one thought from His mind restoring years of old living into the undecayable – unrustable – never to break or run out of gas again – NEW!

It says He does this with His mercy. Ponder that with Him – and let Him open your eyes to the amazing NEW world you have been reborn into. His Love is a faithfulness outlined in grace. His healing is Forgiveness inviting us to His place.

Lamentations 3:21-23
But in my mind I keep returning to something, something that gives me hope – that the grace of Adonai is not exhausted, that His compassion has not ended. On the contrary, they are new every morning! How great Your faithfulness!

Isaiah 33:2
Adonai, show us mercy; We have waited for You. Be their arm every morning, and our salvation in time of trouble.

Zephaniah 3:5
Adonai, who is righteous, is there among them; He never does anything wrong. Every morning He renders His judgment, every morning without fail; yet the wrong doer knows no shame.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation – the old has passed; look, what’s come is fresh and new! And it is all from God, who through the Messiah has reconciled us to Himself and has given us the work of that reconciliation, which is that God in the Messiah was reconciling mankind to Himself, not counting their sins against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

Hebrews 12:27-29
And this phrase, “one more time”, makes clear that the things shaken are removed, since they are created things, so that the things not shaken may remain. Therefore, since we have received an unshakable Kingdom, let us have grace, through which we may offer service that will please God.

Revelation 21:5
Then the One sitting on the Throne said, “Look! I am making everything new!”
