The Hebrew word for work – adodah – עבודה – is the same for manual labor AND worshipping God. The picture we see here of the humans work is that it is also a form of worship.

Pivotal Questions #3

July 26, 2018 at 6:37 am (Remodeling the Mind, Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

PQ #3: Does the ultimate Anti-christ mentioned in the Bible know he or she is?

This thought occurs to me every single time someone tries to tell believers: “heres the anti christ!”

I truly believe that to start out with this person… if it be a person will not ever be aware they are. They will be the ultimate fool!! If they could fool the chosen then they must essentially be able to “fit the mold” of Yeshua (Jesus). To fool the Jews, the Messiah must fulfill the prophesies. To fool those that believe in Yeshua, every word of the Bible spoken of Him will have to look ‘just so’. To be the ultimate Anti-christ, they will have to ‘fit the bill’, so to speak, to those who follow Yeshua… now.

The enemy’s biggest task is to fool those who know Yeshua… for those who don’t… very little effort will be required to fool them as they are already fooled.

One might say; “But we’ll know because the real Yeshua will not come on earth performing miracles, He’ll be riding in the clouds.” I’ve said that. Which sets me and anyone thinking that up for being fooled in a different way. Those who need to be fooled the most will be looking for a righteous, glowing human man on something suspended in the air that looks cloud like. Considering technology today, this is scary to think of as very achievable in an illusionary sense. So even this thought now must be questioned. So how will we know!!??

I can only tell you that the key is knowing as much of the hebraic roots to Yeshua as possible is key. I’ve said it over and over, once again: Yahweh did not bring His Son to earth as a jew on accident or to shame that heritage or any such nonsense as that. The fact that the jewish heritage became from Yahweh simply naming Abraham a jew is a spoken thing. The blood lines at the time had, as far as we can know, nothing to do with it. Since then, God has directed the lineage… not man. This lineage has come from many bloodlines. So in a sense, DNA, as we know it, will have little to do with it. So beware, if that avenue gets brought up. Yeshua won’t be coming with DNA results to prove Himself – He doesn’t have to. Even if He did, we’d be unable to recognize it. Does God have DNA? If so, who has viewed it? At the very least His would be inclusive of every strand in the known universe. Of which, we most certainly have never seen. I say this only because the world today seems to be big on science of this kind for ‘proof’ of things. No accident there.

God has a calendar… do you know how to read it? Do you live by it? He gave it starting in the book of Genesis, Yeshua observed it while He walked here on earth prior to His ascension. If you don’t know what day God would place you on today… how will you know the season to be looking for Him. Yeshua specifically said we’d know the season. Just not the day or hour.

Heres the hebraic definition of the word day.

Day – yom – יום – the time of light between one night and the next one. Usually in the context of daylight hours but may also refer to the entire day or even a season.

I can’t stress the significance of solidifying the fact that the world we live in must be viewed spiritually first, physically second. The former should dictate the latter, not the other way around. Spirituality speaking… what is light? What is night? What is an hour? What is a season? All of scripture will teach you but not quite like the ‘old’ testament. Seeing as this is what Yeshua (The Light) fulfilled, if we don’t understand the Torah like it is Yeshua in the flesh, we will not know Him. These are the scriptures the disciples spoke of, and encouraged people to read and know. The ‘new’ testament is written in reference to the ‘old’. The old isn’t there to ‘fill in the gaps’ of the ‘new’. It’s pointing to Yeshua and Yeshua points back to the beginning. God chose a people, He called them Jews, they didn’t choose Him first. The Jews were spoken and chosen, not by petri-dish science… but by covenant… again spoken and chosen. God explains science, science will never explain Him. It will point to Him, but not explain Him. It will glorify Him, not get the glory.

The enemy will try to dissect everything God has made to point back to him. He’ll use it, but he can’t invent it or redo or remake it. He may be able to come….really really close though. Close enough to fool those truly looking for Yeshua.

Here’s a hint, look for Him in your heart, in your actions, in your thoughts being transformed by His Word. Look for Him being received and followed by those who are lost… joining the Kingdom calling to bring as many into the fold as possible. Don’t look for Him in some earthly manifestation. He’s sitting at the right hand of the Father… doing what He said He’d be doing… preparing a place for you and I. He’s living inside the Temple…our heart… not a building made by human hands. Never again! These are the Words Yeshua spoke… trust them!!

John 8:58

Yeshua said to them, “Yes, indeed! Before. Abraham came into being, I Am!”

John 12:34-36; 46

The crowd answered, “We have learned from Torah that the Messiah remains forever. How is it that You say the Son of Man has to be ‘lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” Yeshua said to them, ” The Light will be with you only a little while longer. Walk while you have the Light, or the dark will overtake you; he who walks in the dark doesn’t know where he’s going. While you have the Light, put your trust in the Light, so that you may become people of Light”.

I have come as a Light into the world, so that everyone who trusts in Me might not remain in the dark.

All of John chapter 14, 16

✡ The grace of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the love of God and the fellowship of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) be with you all. ✡

The DNA of God’s Language

February 20, 2017 at 10:09 pm (Psalms, Remodeling the Mind) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , )

To my Dad, David Joseph Lawson, who recently asked his mishpachah (family) to study Psalms 1, and pray over each family member from it this month (February). As a young child, he had my sister and I memorize this Psalms, it has remained engraved on my heart since then. Thank you Dad, for this gift. Now some 35-40 years later this study has further circumcised my heart and illuminated my path, taking me straight to our Abba Father, yoked to Yeshua our Messiah! May Elohim get the glory and do wonders and miracles as we follow your lead.

I’ve taken a picture of my notes for this blog. What should astound right away is that this blog only consist of the Word – Psalms; and the number – 1. Meaning Psalms 1.

This isn’t meant to be readable, but ya get the gist. 😉

Sadly I have not figured out how to type with both Hebrew and English in this application. So I’ll do the best I can to pull my notes together here.

Tehillim is the Hebrew plural for Song of Praise. It also means: to make a melody. It also can mean: to prune.

Hmmm…what does pruning have to do with songs of praise and melodies? As soon as I saw the part about pruning, I immediately thought of the following scriptures. Turns out that they pulled the entire study together.

John 15:1-3

I am the real vine, and My Father is the Gardner. Every branch which is part of Me but fails to bear fruit, He cuts off; and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes, so that it may bear more fruit. Right now, because of the Word which I have spoken to you, you are pruned.

Hebrews 4:12-13

See, the Word of God is alive! It is at work and is sharper than any double-edged swordit cuts right through to where the soul meets spirit and joints meet marrow, and it is quick to judge the inner reflections and attitudes of the heart. Before God, nothing created is hidden, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must render an account.

Psalms 146:6

Let high praises of God be in their throats, but a two-edged sword in their hands

Isaiah 49:2

He has made my mouth like a sharp sword while hiding me in the shadow of His hand; He has made me like a sharpened arrow while concealing me in His quiver.

Any number of Psalms and their many verses start to pour out from each of these verses. Adding, adding, stretching, expanding and deepening the very beginning…two small things: Psalms 1. See here, when you take the Hebrew letters and dig into the meaning of each letter of Tehillim what they say.

Now let’s do the number 1. In Hebrew numbers are letters, the letters of the aleph-bet. So the first letter is ALEPH = 1

Note: the number 1 by aleph, and the other letters that spell the letter aleph (the other numbers I won’t cover here, keeping it applicable: Psalms 1)

I then investigated the meaning of each letter.

The letter aleph means: strong, power, leader. In ancient Hebrew, which was pictographs it was drawn as an ox head. All the words that are included within this letter are:

Ox muscle – strongest of the livestock

Yoke – the ox is placed in a yoke to pull a load or plow

Chief – a leader, often yoked to a youngster to teach

Ram – strong leader of the flock

Stag – strong leader of the forest

Fat tail – the strong part of a sheep

Pillar/Arch – strong supports of a structure or building.

This is just the single letter aleph broken down. The next letter in the spelling of aleph is: Lamed.

Lamed is written like a shepherds staff reaching out to crook a sheep back into the fold, in ancient Hebrew pictographs form. It means: Staff of Might and to Teach. Here are the words connected to Lamed:

To/toward – the staff was used to push or pull one of the flock in a direction.

Authority – a staff is a sign of the shepherd’s authority.

Yoke – like the “staff” on the shoulders of oxen for directing

Bind/ Tie – from the fastening of the yoke.

As you can see in the pictures for Lamed, there is a spelling for the letter with two other letters in its spelling. To break these down, there is the Lamed seen above. The next letter is: Mem; which means: Mighty. The next letter is: Dalet; which means: Door. Taken all their meanings together Lamed means: to learn: to aquire knowledge or skill through instruction from One who is experienced (with authority). All three of Lamed’s letters together mean: to learn through the Mighty Door.

Just the letters Aleph and Lamed (the first two letters that spell Aleph) which is the number 1, mean: strong authority

The next letter in the spelling of Aleph is: Pey

The letter Pey in ancient Hebrew pictographs is represented by a horizontal oval meaning: Mouth. The letter Pey means: Open.

Speak/word/blow – functions of the mouth.

As seen in the picture above the letter; Pey is spelt with Pey and the letter; Hey – which means: Look. Together they mean: to open the mouth or speak of what you see (look).

The letter Pey in the spelling of the Word Aleph, which is the letter aleph representing the number 1: means: a Branch or staff as separated from the Tree – often used as an idiom – “to his/her own stick” meaning: alone or self.

So taking all three of the letters that spell Aleph together: aleph/lamed/pey. Right out the door the number 1 means: the Strong Authority which keeps the Branch connected to the Tree.

So….what does just Psalms 1 mean with all this put together? It basically tells the story of the verses themselves, backwards, forwards, taken apart, however you look at it. Psalms 1, was given to David by Adonai, His DNA identifies the Author!

Psalms 1: The Strong Authority which keeps the Branches connected to the Tree as they Learn through the Mighty Door and Open their Mouth to Speak of (sing/praise) what they see!

So…to wrap up I would overwhelm you with His own Words, Mighty to save, worthy of eternal praise! Confirming far better the Strength of His language of old, that because we now have the access to so much knowledge and information, we in these last days can now study to show ourselves approved and be without excuse to Praise Him with our lives!

Isaiah 52:15

So now he will startle many nations; because of Him, kings will be speechless. For those who have not been told about Him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.

1 Corinthians 2:6-16

Yet there is a wisdom that we are speaking to those who are mature enough for it. But it is not the wisdom of this world or this world’s leaders, who are in the process of passing away. On the contrary, we are communicating a secret wisdom from God which has been hidden until now but which, before history began, God had decreed would bring us glory. Not one of this world’s leaders has understood it; because if they had, they would not have executed the Lord from whom this glory flows. But, as the Tanakh says,

No eye has seen, nor ear has heard and no one’s heart has imagined all the things that God has prepared for those who love Him.

It is to us, however, that God has revealed these things. How? Through the Spirit. For the Spirit probes all things, even the profoundest depths of God. For who knows the inner workings of a person except the persons own spirit inside him? So too no one knows the inner workings of God except God’s Spirit. Now we have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit of God, so that we might understand the things God has so freely given us. These are the things we are talking about when we avoid the manner of speaking taught by the Spirit, by which we explain things of the Spirit to people who have the Spirit. Now the natural man does not receive the things from the Spirit of God – to him they are nonsense! Moreover, he is unable to grasp them, because they are evaluated through the Spirit. But the person who has the Spirit can evaluate everything, while no one is in a position to evaluate him.

For who has known the mind of Adonai? Who can counsel Him?

But we have the mind of the Messiah!

Ephesians 3:1-20; 2 Peter 3:1-18 ☝

Isaiah 12:1-6

On that day you will say:

I thank You, Adonai, because, although You were angry at me, Your anger is now turned away; and You are comforting me. See! God is my salvation (Yeshua). I am confident and unafraid; for Yah Adonai is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation!

Then you will joyfully draw water from the springs of Salvation. In that day you will say, ” Give thanks to Adonai! Call on His Name! Make His deeds known among the people’s, declare how exalted is His Name. Sing to Adonai, for He has triumphed – this is being made known throughout the earth. Shout and sing for joy, you who live in Tziyon (Zion); for the Holy One of Israel is with you in His Greatness!”

Isaiah 32:3-4

The eyes of those seeing will not be closed, and the ears of those hearing will pay close attention. The minds of the impetuous will learn to weigh carefully, the tongues of the stutterers will speak readily and clearly.

Isaiah 43:10

You are My witnesses, says Adonai, and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you can know and trust Me and understand that I am He – no god was produced before Me, nor will any be after Me.

Psalms 35:28

Then my tongue will tell of Your righteousness and praise You all day long.

Psalms 40:5; 8-10

How much You have done, Adonai my God! Your wonders and Your thoughts towards us – none can compare with You! I would proclaim them, I would speak about them but there’s too much to tell!

Doing Your will, my God, is my joy; Your Torah (Teachings) is in my inmost being. I have proclaimed what is right in the great assembly; I did not restrain my lips, Adonai, as You know. I did not hide Your righteousness in my heart but declared Your faithfulness and Salvation; I did not conceal Your grace and truth from the great assembly.

Psalms 66:16

Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for me.

Psalms 71:15-18

All day long my mouth will tell of Your righteous deeds and acts of salvation, though their number is past my knowing. I will come in the power of Adonai Elohim and recall Your righteousness, Yours alone. God, You have taught me since I was young and I still proclaim Your wonderful works. So now that I’m old and my hair is gray, don’t abandon me, God, till I have proclaimed Your Strength to the next generation, Your Power to all who will come.

Psalms 119: 12-14; 46

Blessed are You, Adonai! Teach me Your Laws. I proclaim with my mouth all the rulings You have spoken. I rejoice in the way of Your instruction more than any kind of wealth.

I will speak of Your Instructions even to kings without being afraid.

Psalms 145:4-7

Each generation will praise Your Works to the next and proclaim Your Mighty acts I will meditate on the glorious Splendor of Your Majesty and on the story of Your Wonders. People will speak of Your awesome Power, and I will tell of Your great deeds. They will gush forth the fame of Your abounding goodness, and they will sing of Your Righteousness.

Matthew 10:26-27; 32-33

So do not fear them; for there is nothing covered that will not be uncovered, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light, what is whispered in your ear, proclaim on the house tops.

Whoever acknowledges Me in the presence of others, I will also acknowledge in the presence of my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before others I will disown before My Father in heaven.

Luke 8:39

“Go back to your home and tell how much God has done for you.” He went away proclaiming throughout the whole town how much Yeshua had done for him.

1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of faith, take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you testified so well to your faith before many witnesses.

1 John 1:1-4

The Word, which gives life! He existed from the beginning. We have heard Him, we have seen Him with our eyes we have contemplated Him, we have touched Him with our hands! The life appeared and we have seen it.  We are testifying to it and announcing it to you  – eternal life! He was with the Father and He appeared to us. What we have seen and heard we are proclaiming to you; so that you too may have fellowship with us. Our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Yeshua the Messiah. We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

Revelation 5:13

And I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth and on the sea – yes, everything in them, saying,

To the One sitting on the Throne and to the Lamb belong praise, honor, glory and power forever and ever! The four living beings said “Amen!” And the elders fell down and worshipped.

Revelation 6:9-10

When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the alter the should of those who had been put to death for proclaiming the Word of God, that is, for bearing witness. They cried out in a loud voice, Sovereign Ruler, The Holy One, The True One, how long will it be before You judge the people living on earth and avenge our blood?

Revelation 12:10-12; 17

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying,

Now have come God’s victory, Power and kingship and the Authority of His Messiah; because the accuser of our brothers who accuses them day and night before God has been thrown out!

They defeated him because of the Lambs blood and because of the message of their witness.  Even facing death, they did not cling to life.

Therefore, rejoice, heaven and you who live there! But woe to you, land and sea, for the adversary has come down to you and he is very angry, because he knows that his time is short!

The dragon was infuriated over the woman and went off to fight the rest of her children, those who obey God’s commands and bear witness to Yeshua.

Revelation 22:12-21

Pay attention, says Yeshua, I am coming soon, and My rewards are with Me to give each person according to what he has done. I am the A (Aleph) and the Z (Tav), the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. How blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they have the right to eat from the Tree of Life and go through the Gates of the city! Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral, murderers, idol-worshippers, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. I, Yeshua, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the Messianic communities. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star. The Spirit and the Bride say, Come! Let everyone who hears say, Come! And let anyone who is thirsty come – let anyone who wishes, take the water of life free of charge. I warn everyone hearing these words of the prophecy in this book that if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues written in this book. And if anyone takes anything away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the Tree of Life and the Holy city as described in this book.

The One who is testifying to these things says, Yes, I am coming soon!

Amen! Come, Lord Yeshua!

May the grace of the Lord Yeshua be with all!

Now to God, who can Strengthen you, according to the Good News, in harmony with the revelation of the secret truth which is the proclamation of Yeshua the Messiah, kept hidden in silence for ages and ages, but manifested now through prophetic writings, in keeping with the command of God the Eternal, and  communicated to all the Gentiles, to promote in them trust-grounded obedience – to the Only Wise God, through Yeshua the Messiah, be the glory forever and ever! Amen. (Romans 16:25-27)

What did Yeshua Think? ~ Part 5

July 26, 2013 at 1:45 am (The Shepherd's Words) (, , , , , , , , , , )

image

Psalms 51:5-6

True, I was born guilty, a sinner from the moment my mother conceived me.
Still, You want Truth in the inner person; so make me know wisdom in my inmost heart.

**The following is taken from the Ancient Hebrew Dictionary by Jeff A. Benner.**

Heart ~ ley-vav (Hebrew)
Definition: Literally, the organ which pumps blood, but also seen as the seat of thought; the mind.

More about the word…
To the ancient Hebrews the heart was the mind, the thoughts. When we are told to live Elohiym with all our heart (Deut. 6:5) it is not speaking of emotional love, but to keep our minds and our thoughts working for Him. The first picture in this Hebrew word is a shepherd staff and represents authority, as the shepherd has authority over his flock. The second letter is a picture of the floor plan of the nomadic tent and represents the idea of being inside, as the family resides within the tent. When combined they mean “the authority within“.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I love this way of learning!! It pulls everything Yeshua (Jesus) said right into everything Adonai said from the beginning!

John 14:23

Yeshua answered him, “If someone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make our home with him.

Ever wonder why it says…“if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart.“? Or why we “receive Yeshua into our hearts?”
God is not a “pace maker” for the physical heart in this regard. Everything represents something much more concrete in spiritual terms. Meaning…if I don’t think in my mind Yeshua is Lord, my heart will still keep beating but I can not begin to call my actions to His attention without my mind knowing Him! Indeed one won’t even think much about that which they disregard or don’t believe. Example:

I, Lisa, do not believe that man over rides God in anything. So therefore I don’t follow the whole “global warming” trend. I disregard any “science” that says anything contrary to Gods Word. And “globally we are warming” but it has nothing to do with green house gases! So my thoughts surround very little in unity with this worldly perspective. I don’t worry about driving my car to do as God tells me. The air is in His hands, and obeying Him is more important. I will trust Him.

So you see…what we think in our heads is what determines our “state” – emotionally, physically and mentally. I am fully convinced of Yeshua, Adonai and the Spirit, I aim to please Him and seek out how to do so diligently, every conscience minute I am here. By my mind’s acceptance of Him as Truth, I indeed reap the rewards of understanding that The Father, Son and Spirit are indeed making their home in me! And now read the scriptures with the word heart, completely different than I used to based on His teaching me what heart means! Paul was extraordinary in his words…”For those who identify with their old nature set their minds on the things of the old nature, but those who identify with the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. Having one’s mind controlled by the old nature is death, but having one’s mind controlled by the Spirit is life and shalom (peace – completeness). For the mind controlled by the old nature is hostile to God, because it does not submit itself to God’s Torah (teachings – authority) – indeed it can not!” (Romans 8:5-7)

He then goes on to say how one is transformed…by the renewing of the mind. In the Kingdom of God, the heart beats with His thoughts! In this perspective we can vividly See that Adonai’s heart has been laid out from the beginning…by sharing His thoughts…mind! We find them in His written Word! If you pick up a Bible…you hold in your hands some of God Almighty’s heart! When you invite Yeshua into your heart you begin to hold more of His heart inside your inmost being! He is still speaking to His Children! Still sharing His heart! Transforming our hearts with His!
Everyone who enters the Kingdom gets a heart transplant! Wow! God is so breath-takingly GOOD!

What Did Yeshua Think? ~ Part 4

John 14:15 ~ Yeshua (Jesus) speaking…

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands;”

The following is taken from The Ancient Hebrew Dictionary by Jeff A. Benner. Page 116

Mits-wah: translation: Directive definition: serving or intended to guide, govern, or influence; serving to point direction.

More about the word: Mits-vah

The word command, as well as commandment, are used to translate the Hebrew word mits’vah but does not properly convey the meaning of mits’vah. The word command implies words of force or power as a General commands his troops. The word mits’vah is better understood as a directive. To see the picture painted by this word, it is helpful to look at a related word tsiyon (which is also the name Zion) meaning a desert or a landmark. The ancient Hebrews were nomadic people who traveled in search of green pastures for their flocks. A nomad uses the various rivers, mountains, rock outcroppings, etc as landmarks to give them their direction. The verbal root of mits’vah and tsiyon is tsavah meaning to direct one on a journey. The mits’vah of the Bible are not commands, or rules and regulations, they are directives or landmarks that we look for to guide us.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Just prior to the above scripture we can see the “language” of the meanings via Hebrew all over Yeshua’s (Jesus) words.

John 14:1-7 ~ Yeshua speaking…

Do not let yourselves be disturbed. Trust in God and trust in Me. In My Father’s house are many places to live. If there weren’t I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you. Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with Me; so that where I am, you may be also. Furthermore, you know where I am going; and you know the way there.
T’oma (Thomas) said to Him, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going; so how can we know the way?”
Yeshua said, “I Am the Way – the Truth and the Life: no one comes to the Father except through Me. Because you have known Me, you will also know My Father; from now on, you do know Himin fact, you have seen Him.

Before issuing the directive to obey His commands (directives), Yeshua points to Himself as the “landmark” for the Way! There is a definitiveness to the statement in verse 15. To take the perspective from the Hebraic sense is not to make the directives of God…shall we say optional. Though we do indeed have the choice to follow in His directives, the truth that there is no other way than His to get where He is going is final. The choice is go our way or go His. Note also that we must look for Him.

The 10 Commandments as we call them are landmarks to knowing, hearing, seeing and getting to our true Home…the very heart of God! When looked at as rules to check off as duty…you end up on “Bypass Road”…able to get a glimpse of the promise land but still unable to find the route into the “city”. When taken as directives, the map to God, Himself’s heart, with the only desire to keep them as to know Him more. The route is direct. Its the difference between religion and what Yeshua asks of those who love Him…a following. He stays ever before us, as atonement for our sins so that we may enter The Father’s presence; ever before us as a continual “landmark” by which we can see that defies north, south, east, or west! The language of Yeshua was a complete picture of both the Old and New Testaments! The Hebrew’s (Thomas and the disciples) that Yeshua was speaking to knew the commandments backwards and forwards, indeed they were given to them first! Yeshua spent much time showing the difference between a Trusting Follow verses a pharasitical religion. Keeping the commands to prove to one’s self they are good verses following the directives out of love for the God they say they serve.

Again we see this perspective of directive in the following interaction between Yeshua and the Roman soldier.

Matthew 8:5-13

As Yeshua entered K’far-Nachem (Capernaum), a Roman army officer came up and pleaded for help. “Sir, my orderly is lying at home paralyzed and suffering terribly!” Yeshua said, “I will go and heal him.” But the officer answered, “Sir, I am unfit to have you come into my home. Rather, if You will only give the command, my orderly will recover. For I too am a man under authority. I have soldiers under me, and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” On hearing this Yeshua was amazed and said to the people following Him. “Yes, I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such trust! Moreover, I tell you many will come from the east and from the west to take their places at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven with Abraham, Yitz’chak (Isaac) and Ya’akov (Jacob). But those born for the Kingdom will be thrown outside in the dark, where people will wail and grind their teeth!” Then Yeshua said to the officer, “Go, let it be for you as you have trusted.” And his orderly was healed at that very moment.

Note: The soldier looked for Yeshua and found his help. The Roman soldier, who had never read the commandments, never known God, knew better than all those around who had, the perspective of God where commands and directives were concerned. Notice too, where it says ‘those born for the Kingdom’ this refers to the Hebrews who “cut their teeth” on the very heart of God (His Directives) but even knowing the Hebraic perspective, were blind (in the dark). They were not doing with trust in God, but rather in God’s “words”. Its a fine line, and only the Spirit can illuminate the difference.
Also note; where the soldier emphasized his home as unfit. Most people don’t recognize the significance in his pointing this out. When its taught in church the focus is on the difference between Jewish “cleanliness” tradition verses gentile. This is a good point, but…the emphasis is meant to point out that an “uneducated, unclean, heathen – grasped the concept of “his way verses God’s” better than the Jews who practiced the cleansing rituals all their lives! No one but the Spirit could have taught this man that! It was a significant distinction again that proves God chooses whom He will, no “rules” as mankind see’s them will ever dictate God’s decisions. Ruth was gentile, and God chose her, too! Showing again the difference between “rule keeping” and following to get to know the God who directs!

Oh how hard it is to follow verses rule keep! To understand a loving Director and Guide is the goal of doing as the Word says. Not to check our list to determine for ourselves if our house is fit for Him. He makes a “fit Home” none other. We look for Him to show us the Way. And He is ever faithful to be the Landmark we can see, no matter who we are, where we are…He brings us Home! Glory to God!!
