In every word that the mind does think
Who do you say that I Am?

In every deed that followed your thoughts
Who do you say that I Am?

When those around you point and judge
Who do you say that I Am?

When things seem unfair and your trust is stretched
Who do you say that I Am?

When evil comes your way too provoke
Who do you say that I Am?

When you could cheat or lie to “protect” your cause
Who do you say that I Am?

When your heart is swelled with the pain caused by living
Who do you say that I Am?

When anger steams and boils within
Who do you say that I Am?

When you forgive and when you amend
Who do you say that I Am?

When you gather and when you sew
Who do you say that I Am?

When loving and teaching your children
Who do you say that I Am?

When you balance your checkbooks
When you pay your bills
Who do you say that I Am?

When counting your goods and counting your loss
Who do you say that I Am?

When your training and learning to sharpen your skills
Who do you say that I Am?

When you have wants but see others needs
Who do you say that I Am?

When you think it’s all up to you
Who do you say that I Am?

When you pray, aloud or within
Who do you say that I Am?

When you are tempted to deny your sin
Who do you say that I Am?

When justification for your ways or your cause does knock
Who do you say that I Am?

When you’re asleep or awake
Who do you say that I Am?

When you clock in to toil for things
Who do you say that I Am?

When you are weak and feel challenged and pressed
Who do you say that I Am?

When standing between worry and trust
Who do you say that I Am?

When you look at you and want to build
Who do you say that I Am?

When praise comes your way and people applaud
Who do you say that I Am?

When looking for others to take up your cause
Who do you say that I Am?

In every thought and word and deed
Who do you say that I Am?

When in want or when in need
Who do you say that I Am?

When you work and when you play
Who do you say that I Am?

When you rise up to begin your day
Who do you say that I Am?

Whether beginning or middle or end
Who do you say that I Am?

When you love and tenderly feel
Who do you say that I Am?

When you resent and are treated with ill
Who do you say that I Am?

When you are challenged and called to account
Who do you say that I Am?

When humbled and low while accusations flow
Who do you say that I Am?

When dating or gathering with fellowship love
Who do you say that I Am?

When walking down an aisle to wed
Who do you say that I Am?

When greeting and blessing or saying good bye
Who do you say that I Am?

When being a friend in presence or out
Who do you say that I Am?

When speaking about your neighbors and those that you know
Who do you say that I Am?

When called to honor love at all times
Who do you say that I Am?

When choices seem abundant and options abound
Who do you say that I Am?

When it comes time to say Who’s living or dying in you
Who do you say that I Am?

If you say you Follow Me and give Me your heart
Know that every single day you live is now saying
Who you now say that I Am

Is there anything, any thought, any action, any desire; that you can search out
That if you follow Me; does not say  less about you and more about Me?
How do you live. .. that I Am?

Recommended Reading/Further studying to show yourself approved!

For those who dare to brave learning the Bible from the very language and perspective of God, as spoken in the beginning. These books are your friend. I often blog about Jeff Benners work. They consist of YouTube videos and some have come straight out of his books. **See The Shepherds Words category

For the sake of not repeating myself obnoxiously…I can only say…to miss out on these resources is to try and taste food with your nose plugged! Hebrew was Yeshua’s (Jesus) language…the language of the Old Testament and for good reason!  Consequently it was the language of origin for most the writers of the New Testament too!
Though it is likely Yeshua and those authors who followed Him spoke and wrote Greek too, they were all very educated and “brought up” immersed in Hebrew. Its no accident! The more you learn the Word of God from this perspective the more you understand why God purposed His Son to be brought up in its culture and language!

I recommend all of Jeff Benners work…not because he’s inhumanly un-falable but because his work is to glorify the True Author of the Bible, God, Himself. Not man’s intellect in its translation, but the work of the Spirit’s. To boldly go where man won’t without His decisive lead!

Behind the Veil

October 19, 2012 at 4:08 am (Poems) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

image

There was a Veil that held Your Glory
Behind it stored it up in a story
Names, places, peoples, and kingdoms
All in various stages of ruin
Yet, I Am, dimly muted
Holds the keys that all refuted

Sacrifices and incense flowed
Yet at the heart the blood just ran
Stinking up and heeding the need
For a purer Blood was the decreed
The fragrance of Your matchless grace
Kept preserved in time and space
Gave birth to the Lamb, the ceaseless intention
Of no man’s mind, all Your invention

Incredulous sin and a broken-hearted Father
Stuck on a hill for weaknesses barter
O Word of God could not have done more
As His blood poured on every soul’s shore
The sea turned red and split yet again
The people fled and the enemy spins
A crack and roar, the universe shaken
O the sound of that Veil in the breaking!

No more the entry blocked, even dimly
The temple rocked and moved right in within me!
You came to all, they had no aware
That all this time You are still there!
The vast amounts of endless chases
Within the people in Your times and places
All frozen here, before a veil
That entered hell and felt the flames
Yet walked He out, no heat, no smoke, no CHAINS!

No! None can keep You behind a veil!
None can persuade You to come out from behind
Your will is fixed upon Planned Perfection
A People, a Place, a Kingdom divined!

No more obscurity! No more need for a carnal voice repeating!
Full and loud, soft and flowing You speak now to the lowest or highest pressed right up to their ears!
From within! No more from without!  Now a People sings, with praises and shouts!
Hosanna! Hosanna!
The Highest has come!
Behind the Veil walked out the Son!
In Victory did He rip and shred!
Poured out in Life upon the dead!
No question here Who gets the Glory
But the One and Only, who started this story!
Always in front and behind the veil
You meant the unveiling of ALL Your Glory!
Hosanna! He has won!
Look! Look!
The veil is GONE!
