Truth, Justice and God’s Way

January 19, 2017 at 4:38 am (Remodeling the Mind, Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , )

The following link (at the bottom) inspired this blog. Actually it and many other documentaries I’ve been watching for a while now. Honestly I was unsure what was driving me to watch these real life stories. Some were very inspiring and dealt more with acts of nature and the hardships people over-came to move on, most were, sadly, the moving forward after another human being caused harm and suffering to them and those they loved. These are called crimes. It took some time but Adonai has finally began to speak into His pulling me into this documentary marathon I seemed to have been running.

The documentary below is graphic in many ways, more in depth than most and longer. If you choose to watch it, please be aware of children who may happen upon you as you do. This film is the best film to put all the points I’m about to make into perspective. It’s raw nature has a stunning balance that is rare in documentaries and, of course, as I’m drawn to…God gets an amazing glory in the end. All the points here are capable of standing on their own without viewing it however.

I realize these question have been asked before; in multitudes of ways. The concept isn’t new, the answers…well no less complex…sort of. Perhaps sometimes God puts us in front of these questions in more intimate settings and has us write out the process to solidify it for our own walk in this life. I lean in this direction. Though He often asks us to share for the purpose of someone else, yes, even just one other person, His work in you will be used in His work in them. I pray these writings only do what He intended.

What would a society be like if:

☆ The “old sexual code” of proper conduct was the norm and the only accepted method – legally, morally, ethically?

Definition: No sex before marriage. Sex is viewed as sacred and private between adult men and women (plural in context not in number of persons at one event). Sex is only sacred between those two individuals of commitment before God and man on their wedding day. Sex with a child, animal, same sex person, or family member is a CRIME, punishable by death. Why? Simply put, sex ANY other way kills something extremely valuable to God.

☆ God’s rules of justice was adopted by society

Definition: Don’t murder, don’t lie, don’t covet, don’t take lightly His Name – meaning His character, don’t dishonor parents, don’t commit adultery – unfaithfulness in marriage – this being considered a value BEFORE marriage; that faithfulness to one’s spouse begins the day they are born for the one God has set aside for them. Thus rendering experimental, recreational, better put, premarital Sex – WRONG.

God is indeed God, no other God will be tolerated, not because of rules but because any other thing given His place will lead to the utter heartbreaking corruption of the person God created. All other instructions will be broken without fail if these two are not the focus – the beginning and end of all moral judgement.

Remember to give God one day. (Remember the Sabbath) Just to Him – rest for that day; the needs and cares of the whole world will be cared for by Him and only Him on this day. How can He prove it if we’re constantly in control? This builds our trust and proves further…God is in control. And for good reason!

☆ Questions and ponderings

Who was the first to introduce the death penalty?

How does Yeshua (Jesus) without nullifing God’s previous dictates fulfill them all with justice?

What is the true sign of repentance?

God knew that child abuses and societal influence of all kinds would be a factor in any crime committed in all those instructions from Genesis to Leviticus for balance and justice. What does this say about His methods of instruction?

Trust and obey – God is the only One worthy of such from anyone. Only He knows the balance point between good and evil, right and wrong, lies and deceit and ignorance and naivety, innocence and willfulness, cause and effect.

Did God make/create murders, rapest, adulterers, cheats, etc?

Haven’t we all murdered in our thoughts? (This is where all physical acts begin) He created me and you. We have all lied, cheated, adulterated. In our thoughts, when we lie, we steal from someone. Everyone is owed the truth as a standard of conduct in the Kingdom of God. And rape? Again starting in the thoughts, none sees and most will never show they existed. Rape is non-consentual sex. Has everyone consented to all our imaginings? Sound extreme or over-the-top? Again the questions are pointed at the possibilities of society if such things were viewed this way and acted on accordingly. Would porn have ever been born? Would any inappropriate sexual act or deed be subject to leniency or acceptibility which has indeed led to the corruption of society?

☆ Questions everyone should find the answers to. (Yes, the word “should” got used…without apology)

What is the difference between God’s true ways and the many ways the church has distorted them? Ie: exorcism, branding, legalism, judgement.

Why did Yeshua accept death on the cross? Keeping in mind, yes, He was innocent, but on that cross He took every sin ever committed and that would ever be committed on Himself!

How do all these things, these questions, these answers impact a life? Yours, mine, the neighbor, the community, society?

☆ Truths Indisputable

God alone makes, creates, shapes. Man gets ahold of these and as soon as they try to change it, even ever so slightly, these things become dysfunctional. In other words, they can no longer be cherished and enjoyed as He designed them.

God made: man, woman, earth, space, marriage, Sex, relationships/family, balance, Justice, life, death, forgiveness, mercy, truth, grace, compassion, kindness, patience, long suffering, giving/generosity, hope, peace, love.

When anything He made gets altered they become the twisted polar opposite, they act against instead of for.

Only God can be troubled or sort out the details of something so complex as a human being, created in His image, so hated by His enemy. A human justice system? How can one expect perfection within it? There are more things we need not know than we need to know. So many things we need to simply be able to trust and obey, for there is no other way! Too many opinions, to many postings and publications of things we need not concern ourselves with. I wonder how much medication people would stop needing for anxiety if they just didn’t hear, see, and know so darned much these days. I know the jurors of the case below will never ever be able to remove the images and details of that case from their minds. It could be argued that it may be for good reasons, it could also be argued against all good reasoning! That is: if humans keep thinking of those things. God isn’t Teviah from Fiddler on the Roof, He’s not up there saying… “On the other hand…but on the other hand…”  He is capable, and by that it means, completely perfect and split-second fast, at knowing every second, every instant, every occasion, every event, of everyone involved in everything, taking all things into consideration and doing the right thing. Period. Only God. So what? if we just can’t let go of controlling things trying to “understand” everything…what if…what if we just did it God’s Way?

We can. I can, I will by the grace given by Yeshua, the Holy Spirit. It begins with just one day, all those little choices, God’s Way, not mine. Society as we read in the Truth called the Word of God will not operate according to Gods ways, not right now. But…our homes can. These will effect other homes…which will effect our community…which may effect revival in some small section of society. BUT! The impact on our true Home, with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, where they have come to make their home in you and me…eternity ripples, souls praise, heaven is singing that tune as we speak (errr…or read 😉). As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

Misinterpretation Exchanged for Perspective

April 20, 2015 at 12:10 am (Devotionals, Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , )

We all know how many read so many scriptures but they get to a part where God says He’ll turn His hands against them and slam the book closed; feeling justified that they can validate their lack of belief in Him “because any God that turns against us must not be a “good” God.” But they fail to keep reading! Look! Look what His hand turning against us means.

1) cleansing
2) restoration

Inarguably painful and often difficult these processes, but then LOOK at the results.

1) righteousness
2) faithful (trusting)
3) redeemed

These are the new names we are given. It’s so often overlooked that the reason God’s hand is turned against us is because we first turn away from Him. Much as we often seem to “turn against” our children when they disobey, in order to correct, protect, teach, and guide them into the right way of living. So God, because He loves us makes sure we “go it alone” when we live inside our bodies and our hours and minutes of living doing things our own way instead of the way that brings life. God is the Author of Life. He uses death to His own Life purposes, but does not authorize such ways of living. One could aptly picture His hand swooping up to our behinds for a tap, as His hand turning against us. Or smacking a hand before it reaches a hot burner. In the latter, should the hand continue not to heed the warning, He steps back and let’s us learn the hard way. Ready to run cold water over the burn and apply grace as His salve to the wound. It’s stunning how often and quickly He knows when to let the hand be burned instead of constantly playing referee. Notice how He didn’t show up at that tree in the garden when the snake struck Eve. He didn’t get in her face and say “hey, remember what I said, don’t listen to him he’s a liar!” Nor did He get in Satan’s face and say, “Leave her alone, she’s mine, be gone!” It smacks up against our logic. Why didn’t He? “A good God would have intervened!” Right?

Ahhhh, such is the reality that His ways are not ours and His thoughts fall into a realm of Wisdom we are incapable of without Him. It’s like the difference between justice and fairness. God is just. Always, one hundred percent of the time. Yet, we equate justice with our idea of fairness. A huge mistake. I beg your time for an example. Let’s turn to a parable Yeshua (Jesus) gave. It’s found in Matthew 20, verses 1-16. He starts out by saying, “The Kingdom of heaven is like…” and proceeds to tell of a farmer who goes out to find workers for his field. He goes out at 9am, noon, and three, hiring workers at each time. Then goes out at an hour before quitting time and hires another. The workers come in to collect their pay and find that everyone got the same pay, no matter how long they had worked. Needless to say the first worker was feeling the weight of mankind’s version of fairness and pressed into the farmer to express his point of view. The farmer replies that its his land and his money and the worker agreed to work for the money that now laid in his hand, and to focus on his word being true in his hand and not the method in which he applied to everyone else. The last words Yeshua says in this story is, “thus the last shall be first and the first shall be last” Often these words further confuse the one without eyes to see beyond their idea of fairness.

But let’s look at a different point of view. Each worker has a family to feed. God’s perspective includes everything, everything we effect as well as our own hearts needing growth. God tends to the needs of all, not the pride of one. Each worker went home and was able to feed their families, not just take pride in a whole days work. The grace given to the last worker of the day, likely fed his family well beyond the hour of work in one single day, causing him to work harder. The grace given to the first worker, having been rejected and replaced with pride and puffiness, likely didn’t meet the needs of his family much beyond the day he was saying goodnight to. Ungratefulness is the symptom of pride. Pride loves to critisize authority. I love this parable because it shows how God keeps His Word to care for us, not depending on our interpretation of earning or deserving but on His Word alone. He meets the needs of countless people when He meets the needs of the one.

Understanding what it means when God turns against and when He deals in justice verses our idea of what correction and fairness looks like is a flood of revelation to the soul. It makes it so easy to have our minds “changed” and draw near to Him who has all things well in hand. Just like He did in the garden, and every second since. Truly all glory and honor and praise belongs to Him and Him alone! Worthy is the One who is, was, and is to come!

Misinterpretation is also a symptom of pride. Pride is the ultimate blinder of all God is and all He does and His heart that is the only good heart in existence. Perspective is everything, give yours to God and the exchange will change your life, and likely countless lives you effect everyday as long as you draw breath.

Honestly Different

A woman walked into the police station. She asked to speak to an officer on duty. When asked ‘why’, she replied;
Because I broke a law and want to speak to an officer”
Eye brows went up and an officer came out to meet the woman.

What can I do for you mame?” Said the Officer

“Well, last night when I was leaving my complex I made an illegal right turn on a red light. I need to get a ticket, so that I can pay my fine.” Said the Woman.

The Officer stared at the Woman with the look of unbelief and uncertainty alternating his face.

So…you are saying you want a ticket for breaking a law no one saw you break?”
The tone of the Officers voice suggested he was more ready to call a loony mobile. Suspicion lines his forehead.

Just because none else saw it – doesn’t change that I did it.” Replied the Woman calmly

Why? You could just go on…I’ll give you a warning…please be more careful in the future.”
The Officer turned back towards the door they emerged from. Dismissal was all he left standing with the Woman.

Excuse me, Officer, please I would like to pay the fine for breaking the law. I know you must think I’m nuts, but I am honored to live in this place, with your service to serve and protect. I am not mocking, or trying to assuage my guilty conscience. I appreciate that a fine can not undo what I did. Yet its the thing I must do to serve a Higher Law than ours and if I am to grow more appreciative of these things that protect us, I must apply them to all I do, no matter who’s looking. Doing right needs no audience for value. Doing wrong needs no one to “catch one” to be acknowledged.”
The Woman appealed

The Officer turned back to face the Woman. Something had began to shrink his suspicion.

Let me ask you,” said the Woman, “Is the sign instructing traffic ‘No Right Turn on Red Light’ there for the good of those who come to that intersection?”

The Officer searched her face thinking…”Is this lady for real?!”
He said, “Yes, if it says that its for a good reason.”

” Then the consequence for not doing so is also for a reason…meant for good too?”
The Woman appealed.

Yes, for those who get caught not abiding it.” Replied the Officer

The Woman cocked her head, thought, and spoke.
Only those who “get caught”? So…those who don’t “get caught” can break the rules?”

The Officer was losing patience trying to let this lady go.
No, the rule is for every driver, but everyone who breaks it does not come in. We don’t have the resources for that. If your honesty has need to show itself, I thank you and let you off with a warning.”
He rolled his eyes.

Tears welled up in the Woman’s eyes.
“Sir, I am not trying to show you or me “my” honesty. I am asking you to write me the ticket for my offense. I don’t need you to know why…because I do. It’s a choice I must make, on a path I choose to follow and it answers to a Higher Law than the sign on the pole. He paid His price for me. And though I cannot “pay” Him back by anything I do save one small thing at a time; to obey Him. I am here today to do that. You are an officer, I am confessing an offense please – just do your job and let the rest fall as it may.”

The Officer stared at the Woman in a state that wavered between unbelief and surrender.

And if I chose to let someone off on a warning…its my prerogative Mrs. I am so doing. Your “higher power” can accept that, yes?”

“Of course He does.” She replied

“Then go. Be at peace.” He said, with compassion lining their voice.

The Woman stood saying nothing. Waiting.

Would you mind telling me mame – what’s the name of your higher power?” The Officer asked

“The Truth, He is also known as Jesus Christ.” She replied without hesitation.

With that, the Woman turned and left the building.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The “moral” of this story is not at its focus evangelism. The night before the Woman had turned right on a red light at an intersection where its posted as unlawful. No one saw it. But she, having began to pray and was distracted, was “stopped” by her Heavenly Father and He asked her to do what she did above. No promise of the “outcome” was given. Just a request by Him, and a choice to obey.

Whether the Officer was saved, witnessed to, or changed had nothing to do with her obedience.
The Woman walked away sure of her standing with her Father. What the Officer’s Father did with him, was none of her business. Sometimes obeying God, is just obeying God. From whence all Truth, Honesty, Justice, Grace, Mercy and Goodness flows.
