Never Initiate

My Child, go not without My direct guidance. Never be moved by outside influences alone. Check every action. Know that any move you make that is not confirmed in the Spirit is bound to bring confusion to all concerned. Be certain it is My will, and be not influenced by man.

For every move I initiate, I clear the way, and there is no strain or confusion. – Psalm 32:8

“I will instruct and teach you in this way that you are to go; I will give you counsel; My eyes will be watching you.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The work that follows/picks up from there.
Above the ‘Never be moved by outside influences alone’ He added: “There is always time to consult Me and time to wait for My answer.”
Then I always ask: where is this truth reflected in My Savior’s own words/actions. (This is how I can know that what I read from others is Truth)
John 5:19 – Yeshua (Jesus) speaking. ..
Therefore, Yeshua said this to them: “Yes, indeed! I tell you that the Son cannot do anything on His own, but only what He sees the Father doing; whatever the Father does; the Son also does too.”
John 8:28-29 – Yeshua speaking…
So Yeshua said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I Am (who I say I am), and that of myself I do nothing, but say only what the Father has taught Me. Also, the One who sent Me is still with Me; He did not leave Me to Myself, because I always do what pleases Him.”
John 12:49-50 – Yeshua speaking…
For I have not spoken on My own initiative, but the Father who sent Me had given Me a command, namely, what to say and how to say it. And I know the command is eternal Life. So what I say is simply what the Father has told Me to say.
There are many many more words Yeshua says in the Book of John. .. All of which reflect the words written by the Spirit into Frances Roberts heart and thereby, you and I in the devotional above. God is still writing His Words. .. inked by the Spirit. .. now onto each individual heart. .. no veils. And His Words are alive and active. .. no matter the language or the human hand that may be called to write them down. ..
God has always been the initiator of communicating to His people. He has always been more interested in making sure we go as He designed us to go. .. than we ever have or ever will be. Nothing will ever change that. Nothing can come between True reality and God’s will moving faithfully in it. Despite sin, evil, confusion, and all that works so hard to malign Him. Seeking His direction will never prove Him wrong. … us yes. .. often it does prove us wrong. .. but united in Him by His Grace. .. even then we cannot go wrong. Correction and calls to patience are the most growth producing ways God has ever given us.
Dig down deep into this fertile soil, O my soul, and wait. .. wait on the Lord!”
The Head Turner
August 12, 2014 at 3:14 am (Mile Stones, Remodeling the Mind) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )
One of my fondest memories, and youngest in school was in kindergarten. I had a teacher. .. who taught. .. not only the material at the time for kindergardener’s but for every age and all of life. It was quiz time. We were instructed to do the best we could to answer the questions on our paper and be good and not look at our neighbors. The classroom grew quiet and all little heads looked down and began. The quiet disturbed me. .. and I don’t recall feeling like I didn’t know the answers but. .. curious. My head turned and sought out my neighbors paper. I felt a hand. .. gentle yet firm on top my head and it turned it back to my paper. I remember the heat of embarrassment crawl to my hair and saw my teacher walking on by out of the corner of my vision. I began again. .. answered my questions and set down my pencil. “There, I thought now she won’t think I’m cheating.” Again my head gravitated to the right. And again, without a word, the hand, the turn and the sight of my teacher out of the corner of my eye.  I stared at my paper for quite some time. Bored. .. Again my head turned to the right and again. .. the hand, the turn but this time no view of the teacher. She stayed behind me but I didn’t realize. .. My head began to turn, the hand corrected; my head turned again, the hand corrected. I got the point. The teacher gathered all the papers and class resumed. She never spoke a word. .. Never gave me a look of admonishment. .. she just taught. That memory stays with me always. I get a keen sense of that teacher in Adonai often. He doesn’t say anything. .. He just “turns my head”…stays behind me and keeps turning it until I get it and continues to teach. Sometimes He’s turning my head continually to keep my eyes on Him as I get bored and want to see what’s seemingly behind Him (usually it’s what’s ahead of me, the sense of wanting to see around Him for “security”). Sometimes it’s keeping my eyes and heart from comparing myself to someone else. .. so He turns my head back to “my own paper”. Sometimes it’s just curiosity about things. ..anything but what’s in front of me. .. and gently, lovingly, firmly He turns my head. Sometimes it’s because I’m being tested to sin. .. and the hand is firm so very firm and the grip last just a little longer than the turning of my head. At other times its that I’m focusing too much on my hurts and discomforts and the Hand tips my chin up to Him.
Elohim is a real “head turner” and I for one am grateful, for that teacher in kindergarten who prepared me well to understand the feeling of love from Above. .. how He used her to prep me for His Hand on my wandering head. .. His shepherding! Every single one of us has some place inside our memories that points to His prepping us for the Shepherd to herd us into His fold. .. ask Him today to show you where yours is. .. and watch the past become present and future in His presence!
Counsel with Me
***Taken from Progress of Another Pilgrim by Frances J. Roberts. – spoken as if Adonai (the Lord) Himself is speaking directly to you.***
Do not be disturbed by evildoers. They are in My hand to do as I please, even as are the righteous. I have certain things to accomplish which could not be brought to pass without this avenue of operation. Do not be alarmed. All is under My control. Stand upon My Word, and let your only support be your trust in Me. I Myself will hold you up and keep you from swaying.
What goes on in the lives of others need not distress you. I will deal with them and, indeed, can do so effectively only as they turn to Me alone. Your well-intended “help” is not needed, but may be a decided detriment. They are on a entirely different path from you, and you cannot join them without forsaking My will and best for you. Live in Me. Walk in Me. Counsel with Me, and look to Me alone for your direction and your encouragement.
I will minister to you as you wait upon Me, I know precisely what help you need, even as a physician selects the proper perscription for their patient. I will similarly give you what you need for health of soul and strength of spirit.
Go your way in peace and in rejoicing. The Lord your God is with you and will be your helper.
~ Romans 11:8; Isaiah 6:10
The Gentle Call
November 10, 2012 at 11:31 pm (Remodeling the Mind) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )
Acts 3:19-20
“Therefore, repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be erased; so that times of refreshing may come from the Lord’s presence; and He may send the Messiah appointed in advanced for you, that is, Yeshua (Jesus).
Matthew 4:17
From that time on, Yeshua (Jesus) began proclaiming, “Turn from your sins to God, for the Kingdom of God is near!”
The strength of the proclamation, “Turn, repent, go now to Yeshua (Jesus) and live!” has lost something. Is it in translation? Is it the sound of “fire and brimstone” religion? Why doesn’t the miracle of those words produce the awe and eager turning that it invites?
For myself, I know that much was “lost in translation”. There is a very big difference between “I am sorry” and “I repent“. Repentance is a turning, and action in the reverse of the present course. Sorry, is a feeling, a sadness of a recognized wrong or hurt done.
Let me try to illustrate.
A person lies to someone. Lets say they lie to people alot. Examples range from where they were “to spare someone’s feelings”. To what they want verses what they say they want, in order to manipulate things and people to their own advantage. They lie, first to themselves. Then the action comes from the first lie within to the outward lie to others. These kinds of “little white lies” (I have no idea why that saying ever came to be, as there is NO such thing as a little lie, white, black, red, purple…who classifies lies by color??) are the deadliest of all. They start inside where no one but God and the person themselves can see or know. The person who deceives themselves is not capable of truth to anyone else.
So in the illustration above what does sorry “look like”. Well if not caught in the lie, sorry may simply be a mild irritation that now one must remember their lie. A feeling of “inconvenience”. If caught, one may say sorry and have feelings of sadness that they have lost trust or respect. A sense of disappointment in oneself for lying may rise to the surface. Even a determined thought not to do it again. But, the next day having only turned momentarily from lying they are “set up” to do so again. Why? Because repentance is the cure for sin, not just acknowledgement that it is. Sorry is self-absorbed.
Repentance is a turning to God. He is our 24 hours a day, always on-hand counselor, adviser, teacher and “order-giver” if you will. He teaches and instructs us to our motive for lying, in His presence while doing so we understand and develop a strong aversion and distaste for the sin being scrutinized. He then sends us forth in the opposing direction to train-in the correct living. If we lie, He tells us to do the other/opposite thing, tell the truth. This starts within where we “talk” to ourselves. If we steal, He sends us down the road of giving. If we gossip, He sends us towards speaking only that which uplifts and invites love of others. We choose to turn to Him and take action on His advise. Repentance.
We can NOT repent without God. It is as impossible to repent without God, as it is to breathe without lungs.
Repentance and turning are invitations to really living! The best kind of living a human being can ever achieve!! It comes straight out of Gods heart of love, grace and mercy as a gift! Then when we “blow it” again, we have the greatest gift, Yeshua’s own righteousness that gets applied to our wound! So continued relationship with God can continue without delay due to our sin. What an amazing and powerful gift! To be able to walk and talk and be lead by the One who created all things!
The Book of Proverbs is an amazing book of just such gifts of leading, guiding and instruction sent straight from the very heart of God with love and wisdom! It refers to two “she’s, her’s, and women”. One is Wisdom, the one who turns to God. The other is Wicked, the one who turns away from God. Wicked is referred to as a harlot. Wisdom is the beautiful beloved bride of God. One points to the Way that leads to Him. The other points to the way one can go that will lead to having to turn around in order to get going back toward Who you were made for. You can almost always put Yeshua’s (Jesus’) name in place of any of the “good” words; wisdom knowledge, counsel, reproof, direction, correction, commands, my words, understanding, insight, discernment, common sense, justice, fairness, good path. He is the gate by which we enter into a Kingdom He ushered in the day He died. When He said, “It is finished!” I think of this as the little instruction book of the detailed “Learning of turning”.
I will list some Proverbs below, boldening the words that connect all from above.
Proverbs 2:10-15
For wisdom will enter your heart, knowledge will be enjoyable to you, discretion will watch over you, and discernment will guard you. They will save you from the way of evil and from those who speak deceitfully, who leave the paths of honesty to walk the ways of darkness, who delight in doing evil and take joy in being stubbornly deceitful, from those whose tracks are twisted and paths are perverse.
Proverbs 3:32
but the perverse is an abomination to Adonai (the Lord), but He shares His secret counsel with the upright.
Proverbs 4:4-6
He too taught me; He said to me, “Let your heart treasure My Words; keep My commands, and live; gain wisdom, gain insight; don’t forget or turn from the words I am saying. Don’t abandon (wisdom); then She will preserve you; love Her, and She will protect you.
Proverbs 10:32
The lips of the righteous know what is wanted, but the mouth of the wicked knows deceit.
Proverbs 12:22
Lying lips are an abomination to Adonai, but those who deal faithfully are His delight.
Proverbs 16:23
The wise man’s heart teaches his mouth, and to his lips adds learning.
Proverbs 19:2
To act without knowing how you function is not good; and if you rush ahead, you will miss your goal.
Proverbs 20:27
The human spirit is a lamp of Adonai; it searches one’s inmost being.
Proverbs 20:11
The character of even a child is known by how he acts, by whether his deed are pure and right.
Proverbs 16:1
A person is responsible to prepare his heart, but how a tongue speaks is from Adonai.
The idea of turning and repentance was meant to be as a drink of Living Water to a soul. Yet I will admit, most don’t teach it with the emphasis on the benefits born out of the heart of God’s compassion anymore. It lacks the patience and kind instruction that Yeshua displayed. It lacks invitation when spoken or written laced with condemnation. The Counselor I meet with every hour of every day, teaches me. He doesn’t harass me. He woo’s, and gently guides. He LOVES me. He starts from the inside and what comes out, is truly an amazing gift! Repentance in turning to Him and away from my own thinking (which makes sense to me at the time) is a miracle! My hope, my prayer is that in the character and name of Yeshua (Jesus); that this message becomes the gentle call to all whom He loves.
Psalms 119:25-32. ~ D. ~ Dalet
November 2, 2012 at 3:04 am (The Shepherd's Words) (, , , , , , , )
image
Psalms 119:25-32
I lie prostrate in the dust;
Revive me, in keeping with Your Word.
I told You of my ways, and You answered me; teach me Your laws
Make me understand the way of Your precepts, and I will meditate on Your wonders.
I am melting away from anxiety and grief; renew my strength, in keeping with Your Word.
Keep deceitful ways far from me, and favor me with Your Torah (the Law).
I choose the way of trust; I set Your rulings before me.
I cling to Your instruction; Adonai, don’t let me be put to shame!
I will run the way of Your mitzvot (commands/instruction), for You have broadened my understanding.
Hebrew letter/English – Dalet/D
Number – 4
Words that connect meaning by both:
Idea, information, move, hang, entrance, earth, division, one thing with 3 functions, door, foot
Interesting to note that the first 4 verses are “directionally” man to God. Starting with the mentioning of dust (earth). Also that the various ways of saying instructions or Torah is said 4 times in the first 4 verses.
In the second 4 verses, it changes “directionally” God to man. He alone keeps us from deceit, favors us, gives us the will to choose, keeps us from shame, sets His rulings before us, broadens our understanding. Also the various ways of saying Torah/commands/Law; are mentioned 4 times in the second half of this section.
I have bolded the words that all connect to what you learn in the following links for the Letter and Number. Enjoy!
