Sorry Sinner – Forgiven Mistake Maker

March 28, 2015 at 4:15 am (Remodeling the Mind) (, , , , , , , , , , , )

The biggest lie ever told:

Oh, you are forgiven and saved because you believe in Jesus, but you’ll always sin.

Let’s be clear about what sin is. Sin is a thought or deed we KNOW is wrong and we do anyway. Sin is repetitious, like chronic fatigue syndrome. We say sorry but use our “fallen state” as an excuse to keep doing it. USING Christ’s forgiveness as a tool to keep doing it.
Mistakes, we will make. But sin we do having been unwilling to learn from a mistake.

We have been given Christ’s forgiveness to give to others. We have been given the Spirit of the Living God to teach us how to learn from mistakes, and sin no longer has power from that point. Sin is habitual, mistakes are part of life.

Repented sin, cleans conscious’s, having confessed and turns away from and does the opposite of the original deed.
A liar, tells the truth, both outwardly and inwardly – repentance.
A thief, works for all they get, and gives from then on – repentance.
A fornicator, stops trying to get for themselves from others and serves/sacrifices for others – repentance.
An adulterer, stops taking selfishness to bed and starts being faithful especially to those who are faithless to them – repentance.
A repentance that cost you nothing, is not repentance.
A love that gives nothing, is nothing.
It takes God to correct the “flow” of right action. Saying sorry takes nothing but wounded pride.
Don’t be a “sorry sinner”.
Let Christ’s power flow through your weaknesses and become a sanctified Life learner.
There IS Power in His Blood, its the power of protection, not surrender to sin.

Don’t believe the lie. Christ’s forgiveness sets us free. Sets us free to make mistakes but be unshackled from their repetition. Sin. Sets us free from condemnation because it unshackles us from a repetitiously guilty conscience. Its the power of God come down from heaven to make us stand before Him with the costly blood of His Son to present us spotless. It is true power. Power of true freedom. Not of having rights, and lives and hurts. Instead having a humble spirit, with only His Life as our Life-force and the power to turn hurt into love. Hurt done to us – into love. Now that’s power! It comes from its Originator, the first One to take hurt and turn it into love, forgiveness, grace, mercy, compassion. True Action. Righteous deeds.

Mistake makers ask for feedback and reproof, and receive Life-giving rewards of freedom. Sinners are those in bondage to the lie above. Worse, because they take the Name of God with it and render it powerless. This blasphemes the Holy Spirit.

Yeshua (Jesus) had a message. Open up your Words and read anew.

Turn from your sin and return to God.”

Go ahead, open up to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John; read it for yourself. It wasn’t, “say your sorry, and believe that I will forgive you as you stay as you are because you’ll always be a sinner.” What a human, pitiful rendition of His mission! There’s no such power of God unto Salvation in the flow of that blood. His blood flows with the Power of His Spirit to keep us learning as we walk with Him. Like children learn how to walk. Watch them. They fall, assess, learn, get up. Fall, assess, learn – walk. Talked to, corrected, coached and encouraged along the way. This is the Spirit of our Mighty Living God! The One who keeps us from sin! Knows we must learn. But teaches the difference between sorry sinners and forgiven mistake makers.

May we find our peace in such truth! May we LIVE this power unto Salvation everyday! What a Light He shall be in such vessels of turning!

The Weave of Miracles

February 3, 2015 at 2:09 am (Prayers) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , )

* The following is a prayer written by Ted Loder. *

Praise be to You, Gracious God, for this day, this earth, this life, for the Weave of Miracles blessing us and for Your quiet power sustaining us.

We praise You for times of laughter and tears, risk and reconciliation, reflection and healing, and for the consistent presence of Your Spirit making all things sacred.

Praise to You, awesome God, for the Holy mysteries of our struggling and wondering, for our trials and triumphs, and all that moves us to awe, to love, to pray, to serve, since it is Your Spirit that moves us so and is creating us still; through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

☆ The Five-fold Bond Securing God’s Power ☆

5. His Interceding Son

Christ’s presence and activity in heaven remind God of His firm commitment to defend His followers. We have been promised that one of the Saviors ongoing activities in heaven is ever to intercede before the Father on our behalf. Intercession is purely an office of mercy to believers, that they might have given them whatever is needed for the performance of all God has promised. Jesus Christ is our ambassador to see all carried fairly between God and is according to agreement. Although Christ sits in His exalted position beside the Father and out of the storm in regard to His own safety, yet His children are left behind in combat with satan. They remain in His heart, and He will not forget them for a moment. Witness the speedy dispatch He made of the Holy Spirit to the apostles when He ascended to the Father, Christ had sent the Holy Spirit to comfort not only the first Followers but all believers until His return.

♡ How often do you ask the Spirit to make you aware of Christ’s intercession on your behalf?

♡ If you knew. .. would your confidence be changed in ways that release fears and anxiety?

Adoption, Disciple, Enlistment – A Call to War – 16

☆ The Five-fold Bond Securing God’s Power ☆

3. His Everlasting Covenant

God’s covenant engages His almighty power. He puts His own hand and seal to His promise, and like the mountains surrounding Jerusalem it stands, never to be removed. As His Name is, so is His Nature – a God who keeps covenant for ever. He does not parcel Himself out, a few crumbs to one, a crust to another – as one feeds the sparrows. He allows you to claim as yours whatever He has. He makes His covenant with every believer. Were some left to fight it out by strength of their own abilities, then the strong would be likely to stand and the weak to fall in battle. But, castled in the covenant, all are safe together – because all rest in the power of His might.

4. His Self-Imposed Obligation

Since God demands our trust, He is obligated to prove Himself trustworthy. All His promises are yea and amen; He has therefore bound Himself to use His power in our defense.
Where can anyone flee in any need, or when danger of sin, satan, or his instruments, except to God? ‘What time I am afraid,’ David said, ‘I will trust in Thee’ (Psalm 56:3). *When you take sanctuary in God, you can rest assured He will not betray you to the enemy. Your willing dependence on Him awakens His almighty power for your defense as surely as a newborns cry awakens its mother, regardless of the hour. He has sworn the greatest oath that can come from His sacred lips: that all who flee to their hope in Him for refuge, shall have strong consolation (Heb.6:17,18). This should embolden your faith to expect a kind haven when you turn to God for protection. Having set up His name and promises as a strong tower, God calls His people into His chambers, and expects then to enter and make themselves at Home.

☆ Questions for further digestion ☆

♡ Can you name the character traits of God found within the many names He gives us to call upon in the Word?

♡ How has the word covenant become a dull “religious word” to you?

(The covenant or commitment God has made provided no avenue on His part for a lack of fulfillment. He does not divorce, renig or fail to keep every part for all time. It has never depended on what His people did or did not do, and never will. He has married the harlot, the backslider, the faithful, the Bride of His choosing. .. There is no divorce court in heaven.)

♡ Do you see how human reasoning and culture has so degraded our perception of trustworthy based on its “easy-outs” and loopholes it has set up within the context of commitment between humans?

♡ Do you see why He has proven His trustworthiness by the simple observable proofs we see everyday of how opposite He is in keeping His word. (Example: the Sun comes up and goes down every day, shining and giving life to every nook and cranny of the whole earth for the purpose of keeping His creation; no matter what the people do or don’t do. .. the Sun and its rising and setting is one of the most abundantly see-able things He has given to prove His trustworthiness! )
