Reliable Resourses

April 7, 2015 at 2:57 pm (Remodeling the Mind, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , )

I was listening to a well respected, God fearing, wonderful pastor today. I will not name – not out of shame but so as not to give a finger to point at or hand to applaud. This pastor would agree any applaud belongs to God, and finger pointing can only and ultimately be resolved by approaching God as well. Listening to Him speak into things that rub us the wrong way, make no sense, or challenge our memory banks of beliefs, morals, and wisdom is the cure for finger pointing 🙂

The pastor was speaking about the church. He gave a list of things that should be found within it. All Biblically based, on both old and new testaments, all full of Wisdom. These pointed to the only Reliable Resource that exist. Elohim, Adonai, God, Yeshua, the Spirit of the Living God – I Am. There were 6 points made. The last was that the church should be a source of trustworthy, reliable truth. Who can argue with such? Not me.

The challenge for me is; what should the church encompass as reliable resources of truth? Just spiritual? As a matter of priority I’d say absolutely. Then question becomes;
What effects and involves all things spiritual?”

I know of one church, one, that has found a list so expansive it is hard to argue that it thrives as it does. That’s not to say there are not more, I’m one individual, with, in true perspective, a very small view of the entire world. Though I try to be very thorough in my research and time spent “turning rocks over” in diligence to seek the truth, I’m human and therefore limited beyond reckoning.

The resources at our disposal today are so vast it’s mind boggling. Its safe to say we don’t have the time to make use of them all. Yet, still, if one desires to find out the truth about anything, it’s just a few hours and a click away from many many of us.

For those who Follow Yeshua (Jesus), most of whom attend some church, this should be a place where the truth about everything under the sun is available. Everything about the Son too. The latter the priority, but no less important as the former.  If we are following Yeshua, we see His example and do as He did. He taught about everything emphasizing the heart in right standing with God, teaching who He is – this was first and foremost. But no less important than the things that effect our everyday living on this earth.

Here is where we find the gaping holes in the reliable resources given to those who attend churches today. It’s a “stay safe within the bounds of doctrine” mentality. Not without its importance this, but going nowhere outside of that is a weakness. The truth about the world’s and societal effects that we live in is crucial to the body of Yeshua. Where are the lies, all of them, that have bound us in our everyday living? What does God have to say about them? There are so many it’s overwhelming. Perhaps that’s why the church fails so dramatically. Things like:

– What does the effect of political and policy making within our governments have on our ability to discern right from wrong (or almost right)? This one gets hit on mildly but at best it grazes the out-skirts.

– Within the context of the above there are so many facets. The food industry. The medical industry. The standards for law making and keeping order in society. In American, these things effect everyone to such a degree that it effects our ability to take in spiritual truth. As Yeshua said, if we pray for someone but leave them hungry, sick, and needful,  how can the truth of the Spirit be heard? Here’s an example.

According to a report released yesterday by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the rate of antidepressant use in this country among teens and adults (people ages 12 and older) increased by almost 400% between 1988–1994 and 2005–2008.

The federal government’s health statisticians figure that about one in every 10 Americans takes an antidepressant. And by their reckoning, antidepressants were the third most common prescription medication taken by Americans in 2005–2008, the latest period during which the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) collected data on prescription drug use.

Here are a few other stand-out statistics from the report on antidepressants:

23% of women in their 40s and 50s take antidepressants, a higher percentage than any other group (by age or sex)Women are 2½ times more likely to be taking an antidepressant than men (click here to read a May 2011 article in the Harvard Mental Health Letterabout women and depression) 14% of non-Hispanic white people take antidepressants compared with just 4% of non-Hispanic blacks and 3% of Mexican Americans. Less than a third of Americans who are taking a single antidepressants (as opposed to two or more) have seen a mental health professional in the past year. Antidepressant use does not vary by income status.

What is causing such an epidemic? Is this not a legitimate question the leaders/shepherds of flocks should be asking? One out of every ten people sitting in the crowd on Saturday and Sunday are taking these medications.

Are we taught in the church how these drugs effect the ability for those taking them to hear and understand the Greatest Truth about the Great Physician who cures depression? Is this not a hugely important relevance to the body of Christ? Look at those percentages, one out of every 10 persons sitting in the pews at church are effected by this! Why isn’t this addressed as a reliable resource, relevant to our walk with God? Health and nutrition, how God designed the body and what He provided to make it functional? How can this be overlooked as relevant to the body of Messiah? What is going on in our governments to “pull the wool over our eyes” with basic stuff like how we eat, health care, and the industry that fuels these things? Why is this not spoken of in churches today? There is one as I said that I know of. One. Did not God address every detail to our daily living and interaction within the culture and society we live in in the Bible? Read Deutoronomy, Leviticus. Read Matthew 5 and 6, Yeshua did. Saul (Paul) went into great detail about such things. What has happened to our ability to discern what’s relevant to the body of Messiah? To learn these things one must go home and research these things outside the church. If a church is approached by such a question it responds with excuses and religious verbage that leaves the inquirer feeling shamed for their boldness for asking. If God is the Author of All truth, it stands to reason that in His house of worship and teaching all truth should be a topic for continual discussion, learning, exposing and therefore a place to release prisoners from the bondage of the lies that have snuck in and invaded the very basics of how people live. Right? Or almost right? I leave the question (s) in your very capable hands. Yeshua, the Father, and the Spirit all say “If you seek the Truth, you shall find it.”

Here is a piece of information that can help one see the relevance in connection to the information above about those on antidepressants. So when you look over to the tenth person from you next time in church you can ask yourself legitimately;

How is this truth of the Messiah our Savior able to be taken in, if that person is on a drug that can literally block the message?

FDA Black-Box Warning

Over time, the FDA has examined many cases regarding the suicidal risks involved with antidepressants. Based on studies showing some link to suicide, the FDA has made several changes to the labeling of antidepressants.

FDA Changes on Antidepressant Labeling 1990 FDA considers risk of antidepressants increasing suicidality in public hearing, but does not find enough evidence to change labels. 1996 FDA researcher writes to Pfizer to note the increased frequency of reports of suicidality in young patients during Zoloft clinical trials. October 2003 FDA warns doctors that studies cannot rule out increased suicidal thinking in children taking antidepressants.December 2003 British drug regulators advise doctors not to use certain antidepressants in children. Oct. 12, 2004 Former FDA chief safety investigator testifies even before Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft were on the U. S. market, he believed these drugs could cause mania, leading to violence. Oct. 15 2004 FDA orders all manufacturers of antidepressant medications to add a black-box warning that they may increase suicidality in children and adolescents. 2005 FDA sends out a public health advisory, warning that all antidepressants increase suicidal behavior in adults and announcing that studies of the effects of antidepressants would be under review. FDA goes on to review 295 individual antidepressant trials of 77,000 adults with major depressive disorder. As a result, health care professionals are informed of risk of suicidality. 2006 FDA recommends that children should not take Zoloft, as it increases suicidal thinking or behavior in 1 out of 50 young patients. FDA advises doctors to observe pediatric patients taking antidepressants once a week, face to face. 2007 FDA adds to the black-box warning on certain antidepressants, cautioning that increased suicidal thoughts and behaviors are a possible side effect of the medications for adults ages 18-24 during initial treatment. 2010 A study of nine years of data, published in 2010, shows that the suicide risk is the same across SSRI drug types.

Is the church really honoring God’s call to be a reliable resource for Truth today? It’s a question that weighs heavy on my heart. We have an enemy, whose sole task is to blind, and make lame in any way he can the people God has created to thrive in truth. He hates with a hatred that is inconceivable to mankind. He doesn’t stop. On the other hand, we have a God who says the truth can set us free, and He is that truth. He is bigger than the lies, and futile attempts to obscure Him. Yet we are called to be seekers of the truths that can free us. Love does conquer lies.Yet the information to do so must be made available to those for this to happen. If the church is where one is supposed to be able to go for such, why then does it skip such vital areas? We must hold ourselves accountable to such questions. Lives depend on it.

Rest assured God is in control, His plan is sure, and we need not react with alarm within the boundaries of such questions. But seek Him, and answer His call to act as He leads. This is a reliable resource, that He can speak right into our lives today and lead us in the way everlasting. There is no aspect of life He will not shed light into, if we seek, we shall find, and thereby be freed.

Truth for Living – Part 3

March 23, 2015 at 11:37 pm (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , )

The first video I recommend everyone watch in connection with learning about food and health is Forks Over Knives. I tried to find it via YouTube but couldn’t find one without needing to click another link. We watched it via Netflix. Here’s a link to their website for those who want to order the video. You can watch it on Netflix. It’s a must see.

Food Inc is next. It can be viewed via Netflix and Amazon but here’s a free link via YouTube.

Watch “Seeds Of Death – Full Movie” on YouTube – Seeds Of Death – Full Movie:

Watch “WAR ON HEALTH – The FDAs Cult of Tyranny – Full …” on YouTube – WAR ON HEALTH – The FDAs Cult of Tyranny – Full …:

This one is called Veggucated.

This one is called David vs. Monsanto. It’s excellent and tells all about how farmers are persecuted by big pharm/chemical company’s that call much of the shots in our governments. It also educates about how GMO’S contaminate everything far and wide.

Another must see is Farmageddon. We watched it via Netflix. Here’s a link with info about it. I couldn’t find a free youtube link that was both pc and mobile enabled :-(.

If you are looking for a doctor who will point you in the direction of real healing, this link is an example of what you are looking for. You will have to try to find someone in your area, but here’s a great example. For those of you in the upper north west. ..this one is for you. I’ve personal corresponded with Dr. Thomas and trust him.

I live in Colorado, and have not found a naturalist/doc like this. This arena can be full of a lot of cult/new age gunk. Be very selective and careful. Dr.’s like Thomas (above) are hard to find. His website says it all.
The above link is a great resource. Though not an MD, Gary Tunsky has been blessed by Yahweh with much learning and experience. He is the detox specialist. All his material and videos are top notch. (See part one for one of his videos) you can also find a few more videos via YouTube. His book is excellent and God is using him and his wife greatly. His wife, Renee’s video is found in part 1 of this series.

Though I am put off with this guy’s style (obviously not a follower of Yeshua), His videos via YouTube line up with the truth found in all these other resources. I’m about to try some of his products, so I can’t vouch for those yet. My parents have both shouted praises for his pain “meds” that aren’t synthetic and won’t cause the body harm but tough enough for cancer sufferers. They said it works. We are about to get some of their product in the mail and try it or ourselves. As I said I don’t care for his style and he endorses Stevia in its refined white powder form and liquid, which research shows it is as bad as cane sugar. There is a Stevia plant that is sweet and can be added to teas and treats, but the refined white stuff is so processed that just like cane sugar all the nutrients are zapped out of the plant leaving only a perscription for diabeties for the body to work with. Sugar cane is a plant, so is Stevia as well as beets and corn, from which most refined processed sugars come from. But common sense tells anyone, heat up any plant, veggie, fruit enough and bye bye nutrients. Refine and process enough and hello diseases.
I’ve heard that there is a Stevia powder that is green and is only the plants leaves dried and ground up to a powder, though I have yet to find it in a local grocery store. I recommend coconut sugar, and it’s label and color says it all. It’s still has nutrients and is brown (looks like brown sugar), it’s processes for making it doesn’t zap out all the goods. Though I use it sparingly. Mostly to bake brownies with on rare occasions.
So I add this link with caution. The language he uses is foul alot and not everything I’ve heard him say makes my top ten list. But it confirms more than it doesn’t.

I have many trustworthy recommendations for suppliments, live green food, and other health promoting non-pharmaceutical helps. If you would like the links to check them out email me

Again, look in your local grocery store for their organic and health section, they are all obtaining them. Whole Foods, Sprouts, Natural Grocers a.k.a. Vitamin Cottage are all good sources for most anything you would look for to move in a different direction for your food/health issues. I only buy my veggies and fruits at Whole Foods or farmers markets. They are by far the best. Though looking forward to the rewards of our own garden this year!

There are hours worth of resources here. It will likely make your eyes cross and stomach roll well before you get half way through them. As I said, this is hard stuff to “swallow”, but every bit of it is verifiable and true. I pray that some will apply the truths here and begin to know what it means for the body to be alive as God designed it. Living food feeds living souls. Below are scripture references concerning food. These are where God, Himself, gives people specific instructions for food for the body. The New Testament references are there to refute what people did with Gods instruction that distorted what He intended. As always God’s Word gets the final say. Blessings. ..

1st instructions for food (observed by Daniel)
Genesis 1:29-30

God introduces meat for the first time.
Genesis 9:3-5

The final instructions for food given to Moses.
Leviticus 11:1-30

What was the ORIGINAL written language of the New Testament?

October 25, 2012 at 2:40 am (The Shepherd's Words) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Below is the 1st part of this series. Well worth your time. It did not take me long to realize why Adonai (the Lord) had so directed my path “into a Jewish persuasion” throughout my life.

At a young age my mother had Jewish decor about the house.
Her favorite movies were; Hiding Place, Fiddler on the Roof.
At the age of 15, we started attending a Messianic Jewish Congregation which is a Jewish Church that believes that Yeshua (Jesus) is the prophesied Messiah in the Torah (Law) or Old Testament. Orthodox Judaism is Jews who are still waiting for the Messiah as they do not believe Yeshua is the Messiah. Though most Orthodox Jews do not practice Torah (the Law) or the book of Moses any more. Hence they no longer sacrifice animals to atone for their sin.

As I became more and more invested in my own study of the Word of God (Bible), I quickly started to study the Hebrew/Greek words and their meanings. A common Bible study companion is a Concordance; which is where one tends to be introduced to the fact that English is a baby language and can be quite hindering in understanding what some words translated into English in the Bible mean. I “stumbled” onto Jeff Benner’s Youtube channel during this time. I found his videos so very helpful in understanding the Hebrew/Greek phenomenon. They are so easy to understand without actually attempting to learn to speak and read Hebrew.

Coincidence? No.
I believe it is so important for people who say they believe in the Word of God as the Truth and Yeshua (Jesus) as their Savior to understand why God made a Jewish nation, why He sent His Son through it (He’s God after all, He could have used the Roman nation or any other gentile nation), and if He spoke Hebrew, what is the difference in how that Bible one believes in, as the end and beginning of all truth, can be read from a Hebraic point of view. Does it change the basic message? No. God has been exact and faithful that ANY language it can be read in will introduce Himself to the seeker.
Yet to “study to show oneself approved” yields a huge reward in the depth of their knowing Him better.

Most of my life the “believers” I have known have at best only wanted to know about God/Yeshua, but not really know Him. The whole concept of going ” down the Jewish ‘road'” to study and follow Him has shocked me in their aversion to it. The attitude of “its not nessassary” is the prevailing wind. Much equivalent to the same attitude about reading the Bible daily as a source of absolute need; is today. I speak without judgement here, as I myself, was once the same. Life is demanding, who has time to study the Bible everyday? Not many, especially with children and work and activities, puh…most people don’t have time to sleep.

Why do I give this “press” time then? Simple. The luxuries we have today as a means to squeeze in a little “come speak to me, Lord” time is without a doubt overwhelming!
Have a smart phone? Oh, dear fellow-sheep, use it!! Listen to a teaching while you drive, watch a quick video just before bed! The resources at our disposal leaves us all quite without excuses! God’s command that we love Him with all our hearts, minds, souls, and resources is not impossible or even that hard now! Make the time, it is a matter of life and death. Oh, not physically maybe but then if you say you believe what Yeshua (Jesus) said and did is where your Life is; then you understand the physical is the least important aspect of Life. Make your “smart-phone” wise! Your computer capable of truly computing! If you live in a free country like America make use of the freedoms and luxuries we have to honor God in all we do! For those of us who have had such resources and luxuries, we will be much more without excuse one day. And its fast approaching!

What is the difference between the languages of God/Yeshua and English? Can it really make a difference in knowing Him? Its up to you to find out. I pray you do. It has made a huge difference in my walk with Him.

This is a six part series, each video is about 6 to 12 minutes long. All of his videos are short and open a wealth of knowledge and renewed understanding in our Shepherd, Yeshua. We take more time to read an email than it often takes to watch one of these videos. Make your computers, smart phones, and other tools for life, really seek The Life, use them instead of them using you!

If you seek Me, you shall find Me!
These words spoken by Adonai in the Old and Yeshua in the New Testament, these are a promise He keeps. Test it, see if its not true.

Oh the depth of riches one can find in seeking the Lord of Life! I pray He blesses your every little effort to do so, and mine!

Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah ❤
