I’m sitting in this living room. ..obedient to the call for a day of rest, the sun has set on milky grey blanketed peaks, city lights sparkle under its protection. I see this from my window. Six long months of house hunting, buying, moving. ..all the while starting this business, exhaustion has been redefined in this physical body that houses my soul. Not soul weary, just acutely aware that the ever growing and full of life soul that has met it’s Savior face to face still lives in a very finite and fallen state. Grace suffices, no…it is far more than sufficient – it’s as infinite as the One who gives it – Elohim, Yahweh, I Am, God the Father, Holy. And it’s strength is beyond measure.

It’s quiet, the kind of quiet that rings in the ears of another Kingdom. Shalom, the burden of Yeshua lies on my shoulders, indeed, His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Him, who held a countless number of sins and knew beyond comprehension the thoughts and hearts of every soul, how can this be? How can this yoke be full of freedom? It’s a tenuous thing the know; the weight of freedom and the tension of sin balanced on the flow of the Messiah’s blood.

This house, a blessing, such goodness God has bestowed, yet not ours, just a shell really. Daily waiting to be filled with Him on the inside. This is the highest responsibility of maintenence and upkeep for any home, rent or own. Who will we fill it with daily to keep its walls strong and roof secure? Its foundation unshakeable? This roof needs work, the whole house will require much to make it undefective. Already is required far more than we thought we had energy or resources for. It’s whole process, again, reflecting what’s far more real and important to the Builder of our home. Each repair reflecting our own hearts and thoughts, some from neglect, some from forgetfulness, some from simple blindness, all the while the Light of the World stands within her walls and asks the question:

“Will you stay in the light and let Me heal and restore? Or will you dim the light for a while more? I know you are weary, Child, you could just wait, but I’m here now, shall you learn of Me?”

I’m learning. Grateful now that the whole thing still has no connection to my deep parts. It’s just a house, lovely and a privilege, but so flimsy a thing to hold on to.

So many think that they reflect who they are with those things they possess. But really we at best can only reflect who we think we are, what we think we like or want. Deep down my heart cries for simplicity, less things, less not more. The truest gratitude I know is that now I can have company, and they can feel welcome here. But all the extra space is also a burden without the company. We are only two people, 1600 square feet, seems excessive to clean daily. Guess God will have to fill it with His people, broken, weary, and joyful alike, those whom He had set aside specifically to benefit from His house on Baltic Ave SE here in Rio Rancho. This is His home, not mine. May I never take possession of it!

My Home, is the Maker of Heaven and Earth, in which this house sits on and under. This place awaits the true sounds of life, not tvs or music or electronic hums, but of the sound of my grandchildren’s laughter and friends and family, and yes, even the sounds of their heartaches and hurts. These are the sounds that harken heaven to earth’s door, pouring out of the endless cup of the Father’s love, which insulates walls, strengthens foundations, secures roofs, maintains gardens and keeps the lights lit. For now, my husband’s smile prepares the place for these. The pot of roses my mom gave me holds the promise of such blooms. Their presence walking through our door, with the clicking of Pippins little paws to announce them, this makes all this seem worth it.

Tonight, I sit and remember these Words:
John 14:1-3; 23
Don’t let yourselves be disturbed. Trust in God and trust in Me. In My Father’s house are many places to live. If there weren’t, I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you. Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with Me; so that where I am, you may be also.
If someone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”

It is a very hard thing to obey and take the day of rest when so very much still needs put in order, fixed, repaired and done. Trust in God and also in Me this is a high calling. Will there seem like enough hours in the days ahead? Likely not. Yet, all things needful get done everyday according to His plan. Definitely not according to ours most the time. I lay my head down for a few short hours of rest each day with the list dropping endlessly down with my eye lids of things undone, missed, forgotten or simply I’ve run out of energy to do. It’s hard. Yet my heart hears the Father say, it is well. ..it is well for today. I choose trust in those words, my lists will have to obey a higher knowledge as I place them into His hands each day. The more I live the more aware I become of my limitations and His limitlessness! This is my Home, this place of humility and frailty, but His matchless grace all the more! Where time yields more and more into His hands, my youth no longer the “con man” it used to be. (Smiles)

Home. His presence, His purpose, His timing, His ideas, His love His teaching, His guidance, His dreams, His desires. ..Home.

May we all find Yeshua (Jesus) Words be true daily, that He takes us there, He gives His yoke, His shalom (peace) each day to exact measure. That His Word is kept as the steadfast maintenence of our hearts, the temple of a Living, active, loving, gracious, Merciful God, where His Home is made in each of us daily. No need for deeds, loans, physical repairs, paint, caulking, wires, facets, just Him, His person possessing each corner, hall, room of our hearts. Flashing the true furnishings of its dwelling, faces of loved ones, prayers, thanksgiving, and praise. Where the imprint of knees bloodied on the floors from petitions for His provision in His will are the hallmarks of the life lived there. And the echoes of worshiping Him never fade. He lives! He dwells here! Come and see! The goodness of God makes a Home!

A Holy Halt

January 23, 2015 at 1:31 am (Poems) (, , , , , , , , , , )

image

Into the deep blue
I seem to notice a different hue
Pulling, reaching, calling out –
a Holy Halt
His Voice cries out…

Its not a halt like a Hitler cry
To stop and never question why
It’s a “what now” considerth thee
Everything this day belongs to Me
Everything for the last six days
were Mine
You were just a branch part of the Vine

But today, My Child do nothing your way
Dedicate these twenty four hours to The Way.
Let nothing come in to distraught or distract
Be viligent and steadfast sure
Upon My Word and the Sabbath cure
I’ve worked within your mindless days
Reflect and ask Me where I am
Make Me your only pursuit, Me – The Lamb
Seek My sacrifice and it’s resting place
And live this day be filled with My Grace

For six days you pursue to fulfill “your” needs
Now let Me teach you to need your knees
Bent and totally prostrate and prone
To seek My Face and Mine alone

See, My Child how far you go
When a Sabbath day heart beats with strength to grow
Six times more I give in one day
If only for twenty four hours you’ll come My Way

Yes, I see you seek Me throughout
The six of work and worldly route
Yet see the difference on this day set apart
I’m not interested in your work – it’s time for Me to win your heart
Can you not give to Me just one day?
To dive down deep in heavenly play?
To look about with different eyes
To look for more – that sanctifies

To look into your family’s faces this day
And look for more than you do every day
To seek to serve from deep within
Not with your hands and the strength of your limbs
But with My heart as the lead that sets everything apart

Trust My Word that your body needs rest
Ignore your antsy limbs and restless mind – take the test
Don’t seek “rest” with zoned out activity
Games and TV and routine proclivities
Be open and pause to let Me in
Where shalom can come in and reveal your sin
Then the miracle of My clean white Love
Can restore and recover what’s been lacking in the push and shove

See this day, or determine to see
How tossed and driven the world has robbed of thee
The six day toll needs My counsel and time
The seventh day slumber is for Me and Mine

See My Holy Halt
Is a trumpet of Love
With healing and restoration
In a language Above
Higher than your thoughts
Higher than your ways
Can you not take twenty four hours and reach only for how I pay?

Don’t let the illusion of “your life” become a lover
That woo’s you into her bed only to discover
That nothing is yours and never shall be
All is Mine for eternity

Today remind your lungs they draw upon only My breath
Speak to your mind and tell it to think on My Best
Refresh your ears to hear My Words spoken directly to you
I’m intimate and drawn to pay attention to you
Will you lift your eyes to Me
As I cup your precious face
Within my Holy hands and lavish your soul inside My grace
Just one day, one day a week is all I ask
Oh, how My heart breaks that My beloved responds as if it’s a burdensome task
Resisted is My flow of Life – to give away
To fill up, to revive, to restore
On My Sabbath rest
You can ask Me for more!

Hear My Holy Halt
It’s whispered on the morning dew
Your every care and thought
Can be set free and made anew
Remade into the things that seem small and powerless
Within My eyes they become empty and your soul remembers this:
My yolk is easy and My burden light”
Enter in to this and see the whole world full of Light.

Now hear My Holy Halt
With different tones and different hues
It’s an oasis of Love
Not a call to fill the pews
Enter into My Rest
And find the Substance of your soul
And I will call a Holy Halt
To all that doesn’t make you whole!

Ezekiel 20:20

I Am Adonai your God; live by My Laws, observe My rulings, and obey them. Keep My Shabbats (Sabbaths) holy; they will be a sign between Me and you, so that you will know that I Am Adonai your God.

Isaiah 58:13-14

If you hold back your foot on Shabbat from pursuing your own interest on My holy day; if you call Shabbat delight, Adonai’s holy day, worth honoring; then honor it by not doing your usual things or pursuing your interest or speaking about them.
If you do, you will find delight in Adonai I will make you ride on the heights of the land and feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Ya’akov (Jacob), for the mouth of Adonai has spoken.

Mark 2:27

Then He (Yeshua/Jesus) said to them, “Shabbat was made for mankind, not mankind for Shabbat; so the Son of Man is Lord even of Shabbat.”

John 7:23-24 (Yeshua speaking)

“If a boy is circumcised on the Shabbat so that the Torah (Teachings) of Moses will not be broken, why are you angry with Me because I made a man’s whole body well on Shabbat? Stop judging by surface appearances, and judge the right way!”

Approval or Peace?

March 17, 2013 at 1:37 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , )

Proverbs 16:7

When a man’s ways please Adonai (the Lord),
He makes even the man’s enemies be at peace with him.

The above verse has been so distorted by man, one has to wonder; what is this peace God makes in this passage??
The common distortion is:
If you love God, do all “good” things, read your Bible, go to church, never lie, never cheat, and never commit “purposeful” sins; then man will approve of you because God does. I.E.: Approval by God equals approval of all man-kind…even your enemies.

This is a short stick attempting to reach a light year distance to scratch the surface of an object so solid; the wood doesn’t even survive the trek to its desired course.

For the description in Isaiah of our Savior Himself contradicts such a view.

Isaiah 53:3

People despised and avoided Him, a man of pains, well acquainted with illness.
Like someone from whom people turn their faces, He was despised; we did not value Him.

Following the common misconception above, Yeshua (Jesus) must not have pleased God much! But wait! Then is God a liar?

Matthew 3:17

and a voice from heaven said, “This is My Son, whom I love; I am well pleased with Him.

It’s rather unreasonable to assume that peace and approval have anything in common with the too often misconceived translation to “common sense” among men. The verse in Proverbs says: when a man’s ways please Adonai. Lets focus on the focus of this part. Not a man’s ways but Adonai’s! For how can a man’s ways please God? Unless his ways are Adonai’s ways!

Now let’s look at the second half.
He makes even a man’s enemies be at peace with him.
Who is making what? Man’s ways? Or God? And does peace equal approval??

Here is the correct definition of peace as used in this passage (and in the one in Matthew)

Peace (English) Shalom (Hebrew); Translation: Completeness; Definition: something that has been finished or made whole. A state of being complete.

For a complete job the word complete is also needed.

Complete (English), Shaleym (Hebrew), Translation: Complete; Definition: Having all the necessary parts, elements or steps. A state of being whole or full. Left unaltered and whole in its original functional state without removing or adding to it. To finish.

The following added exposition will help.

When we hear the word peace, which this word is usually translated as (shalom), we usually associate this to mean an absence of war or strife. However, the Hebrew word shalom has a very different meaning. The verb form of the root word is shalam and is usually used in context of making restitution. When a person has caused another to become deficient in some way, such as a loss of livestock, it is the responsibility of the person who created the deficiency to restore what has been taken, lost or stolen. The verb shalam literally means to make whole or complete. The noun shalom has the more literal meaning of being in a state of wholeness, or being without deficiency. The Biblical phrase “shalu shalom yerushalayim” (pray for the peace of Jerusalem) is not speaking about an absence of war (though that is part of it), but that Jerusalem, and by extension all of Israel, be complete and whole and goes far beyond the idea of “peace”.
~ Ancient Hebrew Dictionary – page 151
~

So…in the spirit of correct translation lets review this scripture from the correct angle.

When a man’s ways please Adonai, He makes even the man’s enemies be complete with him.

Given the correct wording one can understand why the translator used the word peace; but without understanding the meaning of the word; in English the profoundness of it gets lost.
Now let me add even more depth, if you will. Take the last him in the verse and CAPITALIZE the H. Meaning that the peace being made is not for man but God! I can send no debate for arguing this view. It did not come from me. I can only suggest that if this view seems to be against what you have been taught to believe; then ask the Spirit to guide you into the truth. Too often our “working out of our salvation” is the Spirit’s work to correct our un-inspired teaching…change our minds…so to speak. Just like being willing to believe that approval is not peace when it comes to human to human relations as a result of pleasing God. Yeshua (Jesus) said men would hate us. Lets look at some confirmation.

Psalms 112:7-10

He (a righteous man) will not be frightened by bad news; he remains steady, trusting Adonai. His heart is set firm, he will not be afraid, till finally he looks in triumph at his enemies. He distributes freely, he gives to the poor; his righteousness stands forever. His power will be increased honorably. The wicked will be angry when they see this; they will gnash their teeth and waste away, the desires of the wicked will come to nothing.

Psalm 116:9-11

I will go on walking in the presence of Adonai in the lands of the living. I will keep on trusting even when I say, “I am utterly miserable,” even when in my panic, I declare, “Everything human is deceptive.”

Psalms 118:5-9

From my being hemmed in I called on Yah; He answered and gave me more room. With Adonai on my side, I fear nothing – what can human beings do to me? With Adonai on my side as my help, I will look with triumph at those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in Adonai than to trust in human beings; better to take refuge in Adonai than put one’s trust in princes.

Proverbs 9:7-8

He who corrects a scoffer only gets insulted; reproving a wicked man becomes his blemish. If you reprove a scoffer, he will hate you; if you reprove a wise man, he will love you;

Matthew 10:22 ~ Yeshua (Jesus) speaking…

Everyone will hate you because of Me, but whoever holds out to the end will be preserved from harm.. ***See also Mark 13:13; Luke 21:17***

John 15:18-19 ~ Yeshua speaking…

If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would have loved its own. But because you do not belong to the world – on the contrary, I have picked you out of the world – therefore the world hates you.

John 16:33 ~ Yeshua speaking…

“I have said these things to you so that, united with Me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have tsuris (troubles). But be brave!! I have conquered the world!

We triumph in the over coming of our enemies because Yeshua completes, finishes, restores; not because we gloat about it or – God forbid – our ways are so good! For to please God our ways must be His ways! And the peace God makes with our enemies, is a completing, restitution making, finishing of His ways; which He began and continues in us and in everything He began long before we existed! In other words: its not about us! For us, yes! About us, no! We triumph in Yeshua over His conquering of evil, enemies and the world, not ours. Without Him we can’t triumph over our own evil! And we have plenty…indeed they are our worst enemies! The ones within our own hearts, as Yeshua so emphatically taught. For those are the deadly ones. The ones without or on the outside have NO power to harm you or I. It is utterly pointless and completely out of context to think that if we please God, then men or women around you will fall into your favor! Hardly…most genuine followers of Christ are avoided, chastised, gossiped about, slandered, ridiculed, criticized, and thought to be “too religious” now-a-days. Often said to be not followers of the One True God. Much like Yeshua was accused of way back then, and Abraham, and Isaac and David and Isaiah and Matthew and John, Peter, James, and Paul and………the list goes on! Its an honor to be listed so! Yeshua is, was, and ever shall be an offense to the “human condition”. Be not surprised that you invoke the full spectrum of human responses as those listed above! The focus is to please God, and let God deal with man-kinds response to your obedience. We need not give that a second thought! For to please God, it is impossible to do any harm to anyone else!

1 Peter 3:13-17

For who will hurt you if you become zealots for what is good? But even if you do suffer for being righteous, you are blessed! Moreover, don’t fear what they fear or be disturbed, but treat the Messiah as holy, as Lord in your hearts; while remaining always ready to give a reasoned answer to anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you – yet with humility and fear, keeping your conscience clear, so that when you are spoken against, those who abuse the good behavior flowing from your union with the Messiah may be put to shame. For if God has in fact willed that you should suffer, it is better that you suffer for doing what is good than doing what is evil. ****The entire 4th chapter of 1 Peter goes deeper into this suffering and God’s will and ways in it****

What encouragement can be found in understanding God’s word! Though some may call “suffering” a rather gloomy ordeal, and indeed there is a suffering that is far from encouraging! The suffering we endure for His sake is the epitome of honor to a Kingdom we lay our lives down to be in everyday thanks be to Yeshua!! Popularity is such a demon terror of illusion! Tempting, in that our flesh screams for some sense of human approval, and tries desperately to convince us the God’s approval is so “unseen” that it can’t be real! Oh! But hearing His voice, living in His presence…is out of this world!! May He finish us all, complete us all, restore all in such ways as are His!! Amen!!
