Awake! – Part 12 – Freedom of Choice

May 6, 2017 at 3:56 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , , )

1 Chronicles 4: 10

Jabez called on the God of Israel: “Please bless me by enlarging my territory. May Your Hand be with me! Keep me from harm, so that it will not cause me pain.” God granted his request.

God promised us the whole earth! He made the whole planet for us! Now take the perspective that the enemy has slowly reduced us to. Look at the map of Israel, The one with the largest borders, where God promised the nation. This tiny slice of land is roughly 1/100000th of the whole earth! Now I’m not saying what God promised Israel is insignificant, but look at Jabez’s prayer, God granted his request! Why? Because Jabez saw that God offers far more than we can ask for or imagine, He wanted all God has to offer! Don’t you?

For a moment, now, let’s look at the miracle of God giving us freedom of choice. To sum this up, attacking every question that can arise from this fact – God gave us freedom of choice because:

  • He wanted us to choose Him, knowing all the other choices. Or not, choose Him.
  • He thinks it’s far more important to have us, than to start over, taking all the other choices away, which would eliminate human kind made in His Image. He has no plan B, and will settle for nothing less than His original plan, us – humans and Him as a family He desired, with those of His host in heaven.

This is why freedom of choice is such an amazing thing given to us by God! It involves letting us be able to choose very evil and awful things – yes – but also the best He has to offer! Which brings me to my next point.

In order for us to have access to all God has to offer us, we must be rid of anything and everything that would place God’s all and put it in a container. Labels are good for things, not people. When we go to the store, labels help us define one thing from another. When we walk through life, labels on people close the doors to what God is doing and will do. We are central to God’s plan, this is why Yeshua took the label making question: “who is my neighbor?” and turned it on its head. Humans are our neighbor! Every shape, size, color, nation! There is only one ‘label’ for *God’s children and I just said *it. Hence why we are instructed by Yeshua to love our human ‘enemies’. To do good to those who hurt us. Not to be confused with His enemies! Today’s world puts such labels on people’s.

Can you honestly say that all that can be found throughout history about the label “Christian” is what you want to limit your walk with God – THE MESSIAH (which means Christ, where the term Christian came from) to?

Most labels start out well meaning, AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) for example: this was a spiritual revival, started by men of God to reach a certain sector of people, trapped by the enemy of God by the poison of alcohol. The principles it was founded on were/are straight from God’s Word, the intent for which God inspired it was freedom. Yet now, it hardly resembles what it started out like. Man was led astray by the enemy of God who, as He does everything God makes originally, twist it by the causing doubt in/of God. So now, just chose your higher power, door nob, teddy bear, flower, anything, you’ll get sober! It’s sickening! Why would any of these things require accountability of action, they are inanimate objects! Likewise, being called a Christian used to stand for nothing but a follower of Christ, but throughout history, ‘Christians’ have followed the anti-Christ doing nothing that resembles Yeshua whatsoever! So when we choose – we best just choose God, the God of the Bible, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we can place many other names from that Word from which He has named Himself, but anything other than this, we stand to limit what we can know of Him, do because of Him and claim that He said is ours! We must understand that freedom of choice, does not mean we should make up our own choices. If we claim to be a child of God, we best reconsider any label we have assigned ourselves with. Catholic, Luthern, Baptist, evangelical, Calvinism, Republican, Constitutionalist, Democrat, conservative, traditionalist and the list goes on. Given a true study into any of these labels will prove to show where they all inevitably vere from the Truth the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth as defined by God. The enemy invades and has access to do so with anything man decides they can “hang their hat on” as a labeled sect of people. Have you ever wondered why God hated censuses? Is makes a number out of a person, the enemy of God loves to count his sheep, Hitler labeled his prisoners this way. God doesn’t need to count, He makes them part of who He IS! You and I are special, unique and wonderful, just because He made us. This takes the value of any label you or I could attach to our value and throws it into the pit of hell!

The saying: “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” is so true. These ‘good intentions’ are the stuff made up of what man calls good. The perspective must change for something to truly be good. That perspective must be God’s! Since we know our ways are not like His, our thoughts, not like His, it stands as true logic that before we call something good or innocent we might check in with Him first. Good and bad are labels too! We say, “that person is a good person. Or bad person.” Achhhem – we may want to ask Adonai about that! Most especially are we in danger if we label ourselves in such a way! Good according to God is functional. Bad is dysfunctional. This changes everything when taken from His perspective, and when we consult Him, we find our knowledge expands even more in definition making and it’s dangers. Knowledge, the quest for knowledge alone is the enemy of God’s number one temptation. God’s knowledge leads us to Himself, which gives growth to humility, not pride or confidence in ourselves. Labels classify so we can decide who we think is worthy of our prayers, attention, time, effort, etc. It’s best to side with God, and leave the fighting up to Him as to who needs to be ‘rearranged’ or not. He gives us judgement, the ability to assess and act on something, for our actions and thoughts alone! Not for everyone or anyone else. We may be told to steer clear of someone by God, but that gives no permission to judge them. We just obey, pray for them, love them as best as He directs us from a distance.

I will wrap this up with a list of scriptures, that hopefully will be seen from a whole new perspective given what has been said so far. Then, as always, study, and consult Adonai for anything of value to be gained from this post. I’m no “authority”, to say I’m inspired is only to speak to my passion for Yeshua. But not to say, these words are equal to the Inspired Word of God. I’m His child, I claim this as the gift He has made available to all. I’m unashamed to be called a follower of Yeshua the Messiah. I stumble and lose my balance in my learning to walk with Him, as anyone else. Yet, He covers my every word, move and being with His blood! What an honor the choosing of Him is! It’s so much easier to stay awake, be awake, knowing the value and limitlessness that God gives with choice.

Deuteronomy 28:9-14; 30:15,19

Adonai will establish you as a people separated out for Himself, as He has sworn to you – if you will observe the mitzvah (commands/instructions) of Adonai your God and follow His Ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that Adonai’s Name, His presence, is with you; so that they will be afraid of you.

Adonai will give you great abundance of good things – of the fruit of your body, the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your land in the land Adonai swore to your ancestors to give you. Adonai will open for you His good treasure, the sky, to give your land it’s rain at the right seasons and to bless everything you undertake. You will lend to many nations and not borrow; Adonai will make you the head and not the tail; and you will be only above, never below – if you listen to, observe and obey the mitzvot of Adonai your God and not turn away from any of the words I am ordering you today, neither to the right or the left, to follow after other gods and serve them.

Look! I am presenting you today with, on the one hand, life and good; and on the other, death and evil

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have presented you with life and death the blessing and the curse. Therefore, choose life, so that you will live, you and your descendants, loving Adonai your God, paying attention to what He says and clinging to Him – for that is the purpose to your life!

Isaiah 54:5

For your husband is your Maker, Adonai-Tzva’ot is His Name. The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He will be called the God of all the earth.

Micah 6:8

Human being, you have already been told what is good, what Adonai demands of you – no more than to act justly, love grace, and walk in purity with your God.

Malachi 3:10

Bring the whole tenth into the storehouse, so that there will be food in My house, and put Me to the test, says Adonai-Tzva’ot. See if I won’t open for you the floodgates of heaven and pour out for you blessing far beyond your needs.

Psalms 19:7; 103:13

The Torah of Adonai is perfect, restoring the inner person. The Instruction of Adonai is sure, making wise the thoughtless.

Just as a father has compassion on his children, Adonai has compassion on those who fear Him.

Proverbs 10:22; 21:1

The blessings of Adonai is what makes people rich, and He doesn’t mix sorrow with it.

The kings heart in Adonai’s hand is like streams of water – He directs it wherever He pleases.

I Chronicles 16:11

Seek Adonai and His strength; always seek His presence.

Matthew 5:3-10

How blessed are the poor in spirit! For the Kingdom of heaven is theirs. How blessed are those who mourn! For they will be comforted. How blessed are the meek! For they will inherit the Land! How blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness! For they will be filled. How blessed are those who show mercy! For they will be shown mercy. How blessed are the pure in heart! For they will see God. How blessed are those who make peace! For they will be called the sons of God. How blessed are those who are persecuted because they pursue righteousness! For the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs!

John 17:26

I made Your Name known to them, and I will continue to make it known; so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them, and I Myself may be united with them.

Acts 17:26-28

From one man He made every nation living in the entire surface of the earth, and He fixed the limits of their territories and periods when they would flourish. God did this so that people would look for Him and perhaps reach out and find Him although in fact, He is not far from each of us, for in Him we live and move and exist. Indeed, as some of the poets among you have said, “We are actually His children.”

Romans 8:33-39

So who will bring a charge against God’s chosen people? Certainly not God  – He is the One who causes them to be considered righteous! Who punishes them? Certainly not the Messiah Yeshua, who died and – more than that – has been raised, is at the right hand of God and is actually pleading on our behalf! Who will separate us from the love of the Messiah? Trouble? Hardship? Persecution? Hunger? Poverty? Danger? War? As the Tanakh puts it, ” For Your sake we are being put to death all day long, we are considered to be sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are superconguerors, through the One who has loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers, neither what exists nor what is coming, neither powers above nor powers below, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God which comes to us through the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.

Ephesians 1:3; 3:20

Praised be Adonai, Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who in the Messiah has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heaven.

Now to Him who by His power working in us is able to do far beyond anything we can ask or imagine, to Him be the glory in the Messianic Community and in the Messiah Yeshua from generation to generation forever. Amen.

✡ May the grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah be yours in full measure ✡

☆ Treasure Hunt â˜†

***This is a new category. When I come upon a scripture; which no scripture is ever just added for filler; yet it clearly requires the Spirit to teach beyond it. I’ll post them. Please share what the Spirit of the Lord shares with you.***

Mark 11:12-14
The next day, as they came back from Beit-Anyah (Bethany), He felt hungry. Spotting in the distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if He could find anything on it. When He came up to it, He found nothing but leaves; for it wasn’t fig season. He said to it, “May no one ever eat from you again!” And His talmidim (disciples) heard what He said.

That’s it, placed in the middle of the donkey fetching and His ride through Jerusalem, and His clean out of the temple, this seemingly odd thing is written. Notice, it wasn’t fig season. The fig tree was not supposed to have fruit. Did Yeshua (Jesus) throw some kind of fit? Of course, we know different. Name a fit that doesn’t involve sin.

We cannot throw what we think into this. The only way these little adds to the word gets filled in for context and meaning is by the Spirit of God alone. Hint: is there anywhere else in scripture where a tree is mentioned where the fruit or lack of it offended God? The Spirit most often takes us deeper into other parts of God’s Word to teach. This is an amazing little piece of gold dropped in Mark here. But wait! Lets look further.

Mark 11:20-22
In the morning, as the talmidim passed by, they saw the fig tree withered all the way to its roots. Kefa (Peter) remembered and said to Yeshua (Jesus), “Rabbi! Look! The fig tree that you have cursed is all withered up! He responded. “Have the kind of trust that comes from God!”

He goes on to say the famous: “your trust (faith) can move mountains”. All part of the teaching in this passage but not what it usually gets taught like in church. Fruit is highly important to God, all the symbolic/parabolic language is highly significant! Notice He cursed, it dried up. Where else in scripture does this happen by God? Very important when studying to go and see the “pattern”, if you will. In fact, everything God did prior to Yeshua coming, Yeshua did while He was here! This is one of the signs of Messiah! To prove Yeshua was sent by God and was God. To dive into the study of this will take a while but I promise the rewards are beyond treasure. Remember think function of all things, and dysfunction. What is each passage pointing to in regard to function and dysfunction? Good, in Hebrew is defined as functional, bad or evil is defined as dysfunctional. God made everything to function a certain way, if diverged from such way, it will be dysfunctional. Hence sin/evil, anything that doesn’t operate according to the Engineers plans. All fruit has a specific and designed function. What makes this passage so interesting is that it wasn’t “doing anything wrong”. It wasn’t fig season. Which begs the ultimate question: why did Yeshua curse it?

Time to treasure hunt! 🙂

2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it will be evident that such overwhelming power comes from God and not from us.

What’s in a Word?

December 17, 2014 at 2:35 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , )

image

However, each will be rewarded according to his (her) work. For we are God’s co-workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. Using the grace God gave me, I laid a foundation, like a skilled master-builder; and another man is building on it. But let each one be careful how he (she) builds. For noone can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ). Some will use gold, silver or previous stones in building on this foundation; while others will use wood, grass or straw. But each one’s work will be shown for what it is; the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by firethe fire will test the quality of each one’s work. If the work someone has built on The Foundation survives, he (she) will receive a reward; if it is burned up, he (she) will have to bear the loss: he (she) will still escape with his (her) life, but it will be like escaping through a fire. 1 Corinthians 3:8-15

Within the above text there are a mayhem of metaphors! I will list them:

– field
– building
– foundation
– gold
– silver
– precious stones
– wood
– grass
– straw
– day
– fire
– work
– reward
– burned
– loss
– life
– escaping

Each one of these words symbolize something done inside a soul (mind, heart, which reside within a physical body). So each word means something other than what the actual physical thing is. Every physical thing God has made represents a function of spiritual reality. For instance, one hardly can apply gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass or straw to the foundation within a soul. (Though there are actual instances of where some have tried… and failed). Tattooing Adonai’s name over our chest where the actual heart is located – even in gold – will not place Him any closer to our heart of hearts.

So what do all these words actually mean? What function do they serve in the physical realm? How does Adonai use these words in context to Himself in all the Bible? He has from Genesis to Revelations used each one repeatedly. How can we possibly hope to understand these words taken all together here in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians if we don’t understand where and how Adonai has used and taught through and with them throughout His history with us? Make note of the way that last statement reads. His history with us, not our history with Him. The difference between these two is the difference between wisdom and foolishness. The direction or flow of all things begins with God.

God -> beginning -> heavens -> earth -> plants -> animals -> man -> and so on…

In the beginning God…

He is the direct object of all things, the beginning and end, all arrows point to Him and point from Him. So how He has used these words from the beginning is essential to knowing Him at any point along the way – especially at the end… where we are!

Word studies are not for pastors and leaders or teachers. They are for each Follower of Yeshua. He is the Word. To know Him we must dive into what He’s made of and make it part of ourselves. Adopt His ways as our own. This is essentially what building means, and the labor of tearing down our own house, walls, roof, plumbing, electrical and so on and beginning again (aka starting over from scratch) according to His design (from the beginning) is the work being spoken of here. The actual learning of the true meanings of the words is simple. The building and labor of living them – well this is where we begin to understand why He said “narrow is the way and few are they who find it“. (Matt. 7:14) There are as many excuses as sands on a beach for why we don’t study our instruction manual (aka God’s Word) and instead read it. What gives our souls absorbing quality to it is the study of it. To read it, even memorize it, we will still be as a rock by which it rolls over and around us; perhaps even eroding away some small parts of us, but never truly becoming and transforming us.

Yeshua is as profoundly in the Old Testament as He is in the New. Do you see it? Do you see every word He spoke as He lived and walked in human flesh only repeats everything from Genesis to Malachi? Do you see why we become Israel – Jews by being grafted in? Note: Abraham was not a Jew by blood. He was called, chosen by God and hence the Jews became. The only reason God kept a blood record was to prove He keeps His promises; specifically His promise to Abraham. Exactly and precisely as He said He would. So we can know He will keep His promises to us exactly and precisely as He said/says to us! Jews are the chosen people of God, not a bloodline heritage or ethnic group. However offended it may be taken. That is fact backed by God Himself. Isn’t it written in the New Testament that He chose us not the other way around. (John 15:16) And that this is the distinction between religious people and God’s people. And did He, Himself not say to Abraham all the people’s of the world would be blessed through him? (Gen. 22:18)

Many of the words in the list above are very misunderstood by mere human logic alone. The word fire for instance. Even those having been educated in the long ranks of “believers” only see this word as testing. But as suffering? The Christian comfort prone doctrine has failed to teach what the whole of scripture has taught and especially Yeshua Himself and all His disciples after Him. We must take heed to be corrected every time we study God’s Word. Why? Because His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts. (Is. 55:8) For every word in scripture is God’s thoughts but where we go with our thoughts with them is full of historical facts of us twisting them to make sense to us. Mostly due to us not being taught to study the Word instead of reading and memorizing it. It’s not a newspaper or book. It’s God. And what does He say about Himself? “Our God is a consuming fire.” (Heb. 12:29) And oh, how we suffer to have our minds renewed, changed. Our egos (aka pride) suffers most in the transformation. Even those of us who credit ourselves as ‘open minded’ don’t begin to understand how His fire consumes until we begin to study His Words and let them burn down our “houses” consuming everything in its wake in ways we couldn’t begin to imagine!

Now, see that every word written above points to and clarifies the words in the list above and begins to open the door for us to enter into the true meaning in the Scripture at the top. He (she) who has ears let them hear.

CHARLES SPURGEON
QUOTES ON CHRISTMAS

We have no superstitious regard for times and seasons. Certainly we do not believe in the present ecclesiastical arrangement called Christmas: first, because we do not believe in the mass at all, but abhor it, whether it be said or sung in Latin or in English; and, secondly, because we find no Scriptural warrant whatever for observing any day as the birthday of the Savior; and, consequently, its observance is a superstition, because not of divine authority. (Charles Spurgeon, Sermon on Dec. 24, 1871).

When it can be proved that the observance of Christmas, Whitsuntide, and other Popish festivals was ever instituted by a divine statute, we also will attend to them, but not till then. It is as much our duty to reject the traditions of men, as to observe the ordinances of the Lord. We ask concerning every rite and rubric, “Is this a law of the God of Jacob?” and if it be not clearly so, it is of no authority with us, who walk in Christian liberty. (from Charles Spurgeon’s Treasury of David on Psalm 81:4.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the last five to seven years God has brought so many hard truths around; placing them right in our (Sam, my husband and I’s) lap. Leaving us with a choice, believe and turn from what’s “always been”, or turn away from the gift He has just given in much correction and continue on as we always have. So many; and every one of them have challenged the way we were taught to believe and more importantly presented us extreme changes in our thoughts and actions. What you find here is one of them. There are links below: the first is a shorter version and far less precise than the second. I highly recommend the second though it is two hours long it digs the deepest and is uncontested in its accuracy. I, myself, have spent the last 72 hours digging around to “fact check” Jim Staley’s Truth or Traditions video. I no longer am content to watch a video or read an article and “take the word as truth” without checking into both the author and each crossroad of facts they present. While Pastor Staley had a few “marks” to be found within the media available for one to peruse via the Web, I found no solid validity to the claims – as in, solid foundational facts. Having experienced myself how when one becomes bold and begins to “shout fire in the house” or stand boldly for the Truth (which is a Person not a thing – Yeshua the Messiah – Jesus Christ) accusations without validity and attempts to discourage by marring ones “reputation” are expected. Yeshua, Himself, was dealt with thusly to the point of being called a “servant of satan”! But as I said, not being able to stand for Pastor Staley personally due to my recent introduction to him; I can stand by the Truth(s) he teaches and in so doing stand for the real Author and Revealer of all Truth (Adonai, Elohim, Yahweh, God the Father, Yeshua the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit – The One True God)
I truly believe that if we are learning from God we are in a constant state of learning things we didn’t know before and unlearning some things that we were taught that were not of Him – hence we are always growing deeper and deeper in our knowing God Himself and our relationship with Him becoming nothing short of miraculous and mind-blowing. Yet to say that it is easy would be the worst kind of deception! God is simple and direct but there is a reason Yeshua called us to die to ourselves using such extreme terminology – followers of Yeshua are not called to easy being defined as comfy, carefree, trouble free, never taxing. We are told to come to Him because His “yoke is easy and His burden light” But the word easy here is not how the typical human mind defines easy. It is the kind of ease that comes from the difference of doing a new thing and having someone with you who has done it all before, and can guide you through it; thus making it not as hard as if we were to go out all on our own, not having the benefits of someone being able to tell us “nope that way is a dead end, don’t turn here, it looks like it may be easier to go that way but trust me, I’ve been that way and it’s looks are deceiving, this way is better”. Almost every single picture that was painted about God in what I was taught from youth to my mid-thirties has been completely changed by God, Himself over the last 12 years! Not all, but 90%. Some of which is due to what I did with what I was taught some because the teaching was simply not the whole truth. No blame is indicated here, it’s just a fact. It has happened to everyone and will continue. Adonai will continue to make sure He, Himself makes sure those who truly want the Truth shall find it right from His own right hand. I pray that the information that anyone decides to dig on here, that they may be kept and protected by Elohim and His glory be revealed!
The quote by Spurgeon above was quite confounding to me! It was quoted in the second link below (Truth or Traditions) and took all of about two minutes to prove, sure enough Spurgeon said those very words and never did celebrate Christmas. I know that most the brother and sisters in Yeshua (Jesus) I know would be shocked to know that – as I was. We are called to study and unearth the truth, digging, testing and discerning at every turn.
God never said “read the Word, He has rather said study, search out, meditate, feed on, lean on and depend upon the Word. His Word is not meant to be read like the newspaper; it only has life changing power for those who live it. Yeshua said “if you love Me you’ll keep my commandments.” putting His Words in the proper context; the Commandments He was referring to was the Old Testament content. The New Testament was not available to anyone at the time Yeshua or even those who wrote it and received the letters written by the disciples and apostles. This would come many many years later. So every time Yeshua and any of the New Testament writers referred to the Word of God, Scripture, the Word of Truth they are referring to that which Yeshua fulfilled (Old Testament) and if one wanted to know Him and serve Him, they needed to read about Him from where He began and showed up in the life of mankind from the beginning. We are highly favored of God to have the Word so full of Life with both the Old and New Testaments we enjoy today. But to focus only on the New and eliminate in any degree the Old we can not know the God who wrote the entire thing, created everything and did everything for us. The Christian church today suffers most because it has stopped living the Word and keeping the instruction of God from the beginning. But also because we have become complacent about really knowing the Truth about everything we believe, everything we act on, everything that effects our integrity and more importantly reflects God’s!
The changes in Sam and I’s walk with God are “radical” as some say, dramatic and extreme for sure. Yet the more we conform to the Image of His Son the more we are told by His own Words we will stand out and the “flow” of most of those around us will be against us; not tracking with. The signs Yeshua gave to us that prove we are truly following Him are delineating, dividing, separating… standing out most often unpopularly. Not doing what everyone else does just because we were taught that it was the way God says to, or because it feels good and right to us to do so. We are to see for ourselves, straight from God Himself, the what, why, how, and Who of everything we do and say we believe.
Throughout all of history, those who thought they knew everything about God and followed Him have been challenged by Him to seek the truth, dig and see that what they thought was true was not. From the garden of eden to the present day. .. satan distorts the Truth. That’s his job, and he is perfect at it! As perfect at distortion as God is at its invention and clarification. There is no such thing as a follower who never falls prey and becomes deceived. Those who listened at the very feet of Jesus, being spoken to in plain direct speech still did not understand what He said and the very Words of God they “cut their teeth on” until after Yeshua had risen! And even then it took every breath they breathed on earth of taking what “they thought they knew” to the feet of Yeshua every day often still being corrected and thereby challenged to change the track they were traversing. How can we ever feel so assured that we can retire our shovels and just “go with the flow”? This is especially dangerous for those who claim to follow Him, we are individually accountable for what we say we believe and how we carry out those beliefs into our actions and practices. We can no more blame the church as we can our parents when we stand before Adonai,because He has promised that each of us will have had all we needed to find the Truth and apply it to our lives, backed by the very power of God because of Yeshua and His Work. In essence He has “installed” a “shovel app” into every single soul and much like our devices we’re so fond of, they can not be uninstalled unless you “root out” the device. In spiritual terms. .. unless we turn a complacent and blind eye to God, Himself. We are all called to be archeologists, digging, seeking and confirming the truth using only God’s Word both written and spoken directly to us as the bottom line for where we “settle”; i.e. how our lives, practices and behaviors take shape.
Here is an opportunity for you to dig. An opportunity to: do all you can to present yourself to God as someone worthy of His approval, as a worker with no need to be ashamed, because He deals straightforwardly with the Word of the Truth.” (2 Tim. 2:15) Many versions of the Scripture put it as study to show yourself approved. May His Word rule and reign in our hearts and be reflected in all we do.
Workin’ It Out ~ Part 5
June 13, 2013 at 11:32 pm (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , )
The following is what one would find if they opened my Bible to Psalm 23; albeit here the notes are both more legible and readable 🙂
Sometime ago I began to start reading all the Word and making notes that spoke of how it “fed” me. Looking up words if I questioned even a little what they really mean…not how modern-day intellectualism has interpreted them. It was at the time very contrasting to me how humans “beef-up” the simplicity of Gods Word to make it appeal and appear “smart”, “learned”, and “educated”; this in contrast to the Old Testament wording God, Himself used and more importantly later Yeshua, Himself used. I urge you to check it out yourself! Yeshua said quite simply everything He said so that anyone from the learned to the unlearned could comprehend His message. I am in no way attempting to put down or dim a light on those with high IQ’s and a fondness for theoretical, cerebral, sophisticated language. God made all! Indeed He is the Supreme Intelligentsia!! Yet when God chooses to speak to His children He makes it simple! I believe this is because pride and arrogance is a “thorn” that inhabits an ultra “smart” person to a degree not found in the “less smart”. Our society fairly screams “GET SMART”! We have “smart” phones now ya know. If you don’t have a “smart” phone now you live in the “dark-ages”. This is the spirit of this world, of which we are to understand is not of importance! As God leads must one pursue “higher education” only as He leads! Not for security that this world advertises as “security”. Most importantly though, God never leaves anyone out. In order to accomplish this He speaks in such a way that all – from politicians, academic, literary, genius, clever, lawyer, doctor, nurse, factory worker, weed puller, slow, and simple – all are without excuse to “work it out” and know Him!
So I asked Him…”Speak to me Abba, Yeshua, Spirit of the Living God. You know my limits and my incapacitations, You understand how to get me to understand. I will apply my time and effort…You lead me in the Way of learning.”
This (below) is a result and evidence of His Answer 🙂
Psalms 23
Adonai (the Lord God) is my Shepherd; – You O God tend to me everyday; protecting, leading me to nutrition and all I need daily
I lack nothing. – Because He is, I have no other needs.
He has me lie down in grassy pastures, – full of nutrients and rest
He leads me by quiet water, – peace, inner calm with Him
He restores my inner person. – makes me new, renovates, changes/transforms into a child of His Glory
He guides me in right paths – the way He has planned for me
for the sake of His own Name – for His glory and always my good and all those I effect
Even if I pass through death-dark ravines, – scarey, unknown, lonely, foggy, hard and full of war
I will fear no disaster; for You are with me; – if You are for me, with me, attending, guiding all that effects me; nothing can be against me or harm me
Your Rod (correction) and Staff (guidance/instruction) reassure me. – my hope set before me…Yeshua (Jesus)!
You prepare a table for me, -a well timed meal of fellowship
even as my enemies watch; – You are not ashamed of me; shame and condemnation will watch!!
You anoint my head with oil – You cover my mind with the protection of Your Spirit
from an overflowing cup. – my lamp never goes out; rivers of Living Water for never ending thirst of Your righteousness, truth, love, trust. Isaiah 12:3 ~ Then you will joyfully draw water from the springs of salvation. ~ Isaiah 58:11 ~ Adonai will always guide you; He will satisfy your needs in the desert, He will renew the strength in your limbs; so that you will be like a watered garden, like a spring whose water never fails. ~ John 4:14 ~ but whoever drinks the water I (Yeshua) will give him will never be thirsty again! On the contrary, the water I give him will become a spring of water inside him, welling up into eternal life! ~ John 7:38 ~ Whoever puts his trust in Me (Yeshua), as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from his inmost being!
Goodness (all that is functional and worthy) and grace (all that I cannot merit/earn) will pursue me – has been sent out after me
everyday of my life; and I will live in the house of Adonai for years and years to come. – From within, where You live now, and in every conceivable and even inconceivable to me now way very soon! In Union with You!
It is only in Him that the soul has room. In knowing Him is life and its gladness. The secret of your own heart – you can never know; but you can know Him – who knows its secret. ~ George MacDonald
Psalms 139:23-24
Examine me, God, and know my heart; test me, and know my thoughts. See if there is in me any hurtful way, and lead me along the eternal Way.
