Treasures of Trust

God, who will not reveal to us what’s coming next, but SAVES – because the enemy is here and looks always to the next minute that hasn’t yet ticked its way around the clock. For two reasons:

1) He is dead set on robbing anyone of the joy Adonai gives, moment by moment.

2) He lives in fear that the next moment may be his last.

We are not so, we need not live to reflect the enemy’s heart. But the One who holds more than minutes out to us every minute. God keeps the future in Heaven, away from the enemy. In so doing, He keeps US hidden in the safety of the moment. Every minute we are in contains the power of God to save – never doubt it! This is our choice in every minute – to doubt or trust. It WILL NOT be taken from us. God will encase that in His bosom – no pearls to swine.

Our ability to choose trust is the greatest gift He gave to us. This is among the many treasures in Heaven – which He stores up ONLY in Heaven, not here on earth. One moments trust floats up to Heaven and that moment is gone here on earth. But in Heaven it never passes away. Doubt, we may keep here on earth, it can not reach the highest Heaven. It can not live there. Trust was made for a place where earthen feet will never tread – only our spirits, souls, hearts – made in the Image of Him who trusted as we, of ourselves outside of His presence, never can, do, or will.

I choose to trust Yeshua ( Jesus ) then I am one with Him in every minute, yes eternity! The hallmarks of trust are:

OBEDIENCE
PRAISE
THANKFULNESS
JOY
PEACE
LOVE
these are the images we reflect in the Light of Him, always.

My feet touch this orb of earth now, but I trust am always in my heart, with my Father, my Savior and His Spirit – more here, now – than on earth. So when I take my last breath here in this earthen vessel – I will not be moved – I will always be home thanks be to Jesus, by the grace and will of the Father, and the direction moment by moment in the Spirit. What treasures of trust! I am free!

Grace and peace in Yeshua the Messiah to you…

Where the Heart Is? ~ Part 5

July 13, 2011 at 12:03 pm (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Where the Heart Is?

Part 5

Matthew 6:19-34. This will be the scripture we look to here in Part 5.

Verses 19 – 21 Yeshua (Jesus) speaking – emphasis mine.

“Do not store up for yourselves wealth here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and burglars break in and steal. Instead, store up for yourselves wealth in heaven, where neither moth or rust destroys, and burglars do not break in or steal. For where your wealth is, there your heart will be also.”

It’s important to note the word wealth here means: An abundance of something that fills what is desired or needed.

The amassing of “things” is the caution. It begs to question the “buy in bulk” mentality. Though there are clear Biblical accounts of being instructed by God to “store up” years worth of grains due to coming drought and famines. Yet, in each case there was a clear indication by God to do so – this should not be a “norm”. It points up to Matthew 6:9-13, which is the prayer Yeshua (Jesus) instructed us to pray (we will cover this in detail soon 🙂 ). “Give us the food we need today.”

This subject is highly charged and gets confusing especially when one lives in a “wealthy” nation such as the USA. More than one TV verses a TV being considered “a need” at all…and so on. The words “here on earth where moths and rust destroy and things that can be “taken away” or stolen” these are usually skipped over. Why? Well, simply albeit not so welcomingly put, anything that can be worn down or moth eaten or stolen is an earthly wealth. Anything can be stolen – whether its in abundance or not, just ask anyone who has lived in a disaster zone, one loaf of bread is considered “wealth” at such times. Its therefore important to note verse 21.

“For where your wealth is, there your heart will be also.”

It begs a question: So what IS wealth in heaven? This question is a heart question and invites upon asking – God – to answer. Why? Because only God would know what heavenly wealth is! Unless you “know” someone who’s been there and can ask them! Yeshua – was – and did answer. Lets listen. 🙂

Verses 22 – 30  Yeshua (Jesus) speaking – emphasis mine

“The eye is the lamp of the body. So if you have a ‘good eye’ [that is, if you are generous] your whole body will be full of light, but if you have an ‘evil eye’ [if you are stingy] your whole body will be full of darkness. If, then, the light in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! No one can be a slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.

Therefore, I tell you, don’t worry about your life – what you will eat or drink; or about your body – what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds flying about! They neither plant nor harvest, nor do they gather food into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they are? Can any of you by worrying add a single hour to his life?

And why be anxious about clothing? Think of the fields of wild irises, and how they grow. They neither work or spin thread, yet I tell you that not even Shlomo (Solomon) in all his glory was clothed as beautifully as one of these. If this is how God clothes grass in the field – which is here today and gone tomorrow, thrown in an oven – won’t he much more clothe you? What little trust you have!”

So what is Yeshua saying here? Lets take the word slave and define it. A slave is one who services another, whatever is asked by the master the slave does. A slave is not guaranteed pay or provision – though typically “provision” is considered the “pay”. Here again the heart questions: “Am I a slave to money?” “If so, what does it ask me to do, give and be?” “Does it dictate the gifts or wealth of heaven I’ve been given?” In other words, “Do I serve it more than it serves me?”

The next section goes on into detail about food and clothing…basic “needs” right? Yet He (Yeshua) gets right to the point in verse 30 at the end. “What little trust you have!” A wealth of heaven? TRUST in God our Father! No amount of money or the lack of it will “buy” this. It can not be eaten, rusted, stolen, or taken from anyone. In others words…ANYTHING that can be bought with money is NOT a treasure of heaven! Nope not even a loaf of bread or a shirt or pants. At the same time Yeshua points out clearly all things bought with money come from God – period. If you have a job, the ability to perform it for a fee – thank your Father for that is where the heart is! If you have eaten today and paid a bill – thank your Father in Heaven because without Him the bill goes into collection and the stomach is empty. This attitude is the light spoken of in verses 22 & 23. These verses are written in the language of the heart.

Lets read on:

Verses 31 – 34

“So don’t be anxious asking, “What will we eat?”, “What will we drink?” or “How will we be clothed?” For it is the pagans who set their hearts on all these things. Your heavenly Father knows you need them all. But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Don’t worry about tomorrow – tomorrow will worry about itself! Today has enough tsuris (trouble) already!”

Notice where the heart gets mentioned? What is a pagan? Someone who does not include God in their thinking, living, or manner of relating. So…you may be tempted to ask; “So what if God doesn’t “provide” for clothes or food?” (Typically this question gets asked when one loses a job, or finances change with economy, or major life changes ex: divorce, injury, death of a spouse, illness) The wealth of heaven being taught here – Trust – says “Well Lord you know my needs…help me trust You!” and even thanks Him for what He has provided, based on verse 32. One must admit it takes a lot of faith/trust to live like that, and if you do – your wealth is indestructible, un-steal-able – unshakably from heaven. What does not feed the body often feeds the heart!

Chapter 7 of Matthew goes on to name a few more “wealth of heaven” elements to the heart. Read it, ask the questions – live from the heart – and find the true wealth of this life there! For this is seeking first His Kingdom and His Righteousness – the rest is negotiable!!
