The Holy Priority

Who’s House are you building?

Haggai 1:3-10

Then this Word of Adonai (the Lord) came through Hagai the prophet: “So is now the time for you to be living in your own paneled houses, while this House lies in ruins?  Therefore here is what Adonai-Tzva’ot (the Lord of the Sabbath; the Lord of Heavens armies; Lord of Host) says:

‘Think about your life!
You sow much but bring in little;
You eat but aren’t satisfied;
You drink but never have enough;
You clothe yourselves, but noone is warm;
And he who works for a living earns wages that are poured into a bag full of holes.'”

“Here is what Adonai-Tzva’ot says; ‘ Think about your life! Go up into the hills, get wood, and rebuild The House. I will be pleased with that, and then I will be glorified,’ says Adonai. ‘You looked for much, but it came to little; and when you bought a home, I blew it away. Why?’ asks Adonai-Tzva’ot. ‘Because My House lies in ruins, while everyone of you runs to take care of his own house.’

Luke 9:24; 17:33

For whoever tries to save his own life will destroy it, but whoever destroys his life on My account will save it.

Whoever aims at preserving his own life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will stay alive.

As I ponder these scriptures I am prone to ask Elohim to please show me what these mean for the time I’m in. .. reveal the hidden meaning that only the Spirit can reveal. My mind went to the story of Jonah. I had in fact been pondering Jonah all week. (Smile… everything means something) The spill-way was opened and it was. ..humbling… and amazing.

Did you know that we are all called to be “a Jonah”? In fact we are all called to be like everyone in the Bible who belonged to God Almighty. We are called to Build His house. To feed His sheep. To go to the place we feel doesn’t deserve anything good and serve the food of Heaven to those on earth who are embalmed in the fluid of the world; breathing but dead.

Remember? Where now does Adonai’s House dwell? Its not a building in a community for a Saturday or Sunday service to the people. It’s inside. .. where Yeshua comes to introduce each of us to the Father. .. and They make their home in us! (John 14:23)

Where do we resent the thought of God giving good for evil? Where do we think God won’t or can’t go? Where will we lose our life that His might reproduce His own inside the death we die to our own way of thinking? This is the Holy Priority of Heaven. This world teaches us all to be responsible for yourself first and then if. .. if there’s anything left over. .. give. But Yeshua (Jesus) said. .. don’t worry about your life, what you’ll eat; wear; or where you’ll lay your head.; God is responsible for you and He will not neglect His responsibilities. We are to give. .. work for His Kingdom; His House; His people; His Way. We cannot know the Way unless we are willing to die to our own and be ready to go to Nineveh. ..Babylon. .. that neighborhood that is full of “those people” whom we have judged unworthy, unsafe, unclean. It may well be He’ll send us into the belly of a whale to meet first with our own judgement. .. perhaps that we have judged ourselves unworthy first… ahhhh the wolf in sheeps clothing that gives the look of humility but in truth it condemns oneself to Hell so that we will be in good company with those we really don’t want God to save. So we tend to our own garden. .. making a little eden of our own and call it responsible. It’s the Shofar of Heaven today. .. Being blown from Heaven. Who’s House are we building? What are our excuses for not turning around and building the Holy Priority? Do they (the excuses) fall short of satisfaction? If not. .. then rest assured. .. He who made us will indeed make sure they do come what may. He has been at it from the beginning. .. He is patient. .. He will have His House built. The Foundation has been sent. .. the Cornerstone. We are the people of His pasture. ..Eden has been closed off to us for now. But they that Build His House now. .. will be celebrated in an Eden beyond the one in the Beginning one day. May we all find the strength to preserve His people instead of our own lives… and find Him at Home inside our hearts right here. .. right now! Glory to God!

I Will not Keep Silent

December 30, 2013 at 1:13 pm (Devotionals) (, , , , , , , , , , , )

***The following is taken from Frances J. Roberts devotional called Dialogues with God. Each one either begins with God speaking to her or her to God, recording the beautiful interaction of communion with Adonai.
I Will not Keep Silent (Our heart to Him)

My lips shall speak forth Thy praise.
Yea, my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. (Psalms 45:1)
My mouth shall be filled with the Wonders of Thy Greatness, and I shall magnify Thy Name.
In the midst of the people shall I lift up my voice and worship Thee.
I will not keep silent.
For if I keep silent, my soul is consumed within me.
O Lord God, what unbearable desolation would be ours if Thou didst not speak to us!
How our hearts cry out for an answer from Thee:
Surely Thy heart likewise longeth for a response from us!
I will not keep back that gift which only I can give:
My praise, my worship, my adoration.
I love Thee, I will extol Thee unashamedly before the multitude. I will not withhold this from Thee, though surrounded by the callous and the unconcerned.
This belongeth unto Thee. This will I give to Thee.
As it is written:
Render to man the things of man, but give to God that which is His rightful due. (Matt. 22:21)

By Silence Ye Rob Me of My Glory (Adonai’s Words to us)

Yea, My child, I have been betrayed more times by silence than by words.
By words a man may sin against Me, but by silence do ye rob Me of My Glory.
Said I not, of those who praised keep silent, I would cause the stones to testify?
Yea, but I take no pleasure in the stones and have made them truly to witness of Me;
But My children have I born; yea, they are flesh of My flesh – bone of My bone.
How much we have to share!
It is as we work together that My will is accomplished.
I am continually placed on trial in the eyes of men by the enemy.
Ye are My defense.
For as I plead thy case before the throne against the devil’s accusations, so I depend upon you to defend Me before those who cast doubts and aspersions upon Me before men.
Truly these words are prompted of the devil the same as the words he brings to Me against you.
Never miss an opportunity to uphold Me;
And know this:
As ye testify of Me and plead My cause before men,
I will surely plead thy case and witness for thee before the Father.
But as it is written;
If you are ashamed of Me before men, I will be ashamed of you when I stand before the Father in your behalf. (Mark 8:38)

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
I have often brought up how Yeshua’s (Jesus’) words are full of the proof of reciprocitaious nature of the Kingdom of Heaven. We receive from God ALL things needful and they are then given away. In the same nature as He gives. Never dependent on the recipients choice to believe, or choice to lay hold of any of what’s being offered as Truth. He gives.
God does what He does, is who He is, and gives all things to the whole of all He made. Thus He goes first in Example to that which He asks us to be. Hence we can follow a God who knows where and how to get where we must go. He speaks Truth first, it will never have an ounce of origination in us. If we know a Truth, it is because He has made it known – revealed it, opened our ears or eyes or minds to see it. If we do not, it is because He has not yet deemed it time for us to know. Thus we let go of the human propensity to think we should know more then we do. If I know His Name, and praise who He is and has thus far revealed Himself to me to praise…I know enough and His promise to reveal Himself ever more can be Trusted…so we learn to wait on that as King David wrote over and over.

Each of us can recall moments when pointing to Him with our words to another was what we should have done. Our reasons most likely lay in the realm of what we reasoned not to be cool or opportune. Yet the source usually points to either our shame in Him or our lack of trust. What comfort that it never depends on our trust in Him that He Is Who He Is!! What Grace that we are forgiven as soon as we accept our error, and ask Him to fill us instead with His Way. I know for myself, He has been ashamed of me before the Father, but I also know that even then He reminds the Father that His blood covers my shame! He has provided ALL that is needful in all circumstance. And gives, gives, gives us chances and chances and chances! Infused with His Grace and Mercy and Love!! Yeshua the Messiah is and always will be a “win, win Way”!

What Did Yeshua Think? ~ Part 4

July 2, 2013 at 11:43 pm (Remodeling the Mind) (, , , , , , , , )

John 14:15 ~ Yeshua (Jesus) speaking…

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands;”

The following is taken from The Ancient Hebrew Dictionary by Jeff A. Benner. Page 116

Mits-wah: translation: Directive definition: serving or intended to guide, govern, or influence; serving to point direction.

More about the word: Mits-vah

The word command, as well as commandment, are used to translate the Hebrew word mits’vah but does not properly convey the meaning of mits’vah. The word command implies words of force or power as a General commands his troops. The word mits’vah is better understood as a directive. To see the picture painted by this word, it is helpful to look at a related word tsiyon (which is also the name Zion) meaning a desert or a landmark. The ancient Hebrews were nomadic people who traveled in search of green pastures for their flocks. A nomad uses the various rivers, mountains, rock outcroppings, etc as landmarks to give them their direction. The verbal root of mits’vah and tsiyon is tsavah meaning to direct one on a journey. The mits’vah of the Bible are not commands, or rules and regulations, they are directives or landmarks that we look for to guide us.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Just prior to the above scripture we can see the “language” of the meanings via Hebrew all over Yeshua’s (Jesus) words.

John 14:1-7 ~ Yeshua speaking…

Do not let yourselves be disturbed. Trust in God and trust in Me. In My Father’s house are many places to live. If there weren’t I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you. Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with Me; so that where I am, you may be also. Furthermore, you know where I am going; and you know the way there.
T’oma (Thomas) said to Him, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going; so how can we know the way?”
Yeshua said, “I Am the Way – the Truth and the Life: no one comes to the Father except through Me. Because you have known Me, you will also know My Father; from now on, you do know Himin fact, you have seen Him.

Before issuing the directive to obey His commands (directives), Yeshua points to Himself as the “landmark” for the Way! There is a definitiveness to the statement in verse 15. To take the perspective from the Hebraic sense is not to make the directives of God…shall we say optional. Though we do indeed have the choice to follow in His directives, the truth that there is no other way than His to get where He is going is final. The choice is go our way or go His. Note also that we must look for Him.

The 10 Commandments as we call them are landmarks to knowing, hearing, seeing and getting to our true Home…the very heart of God! When looked at as rules to check off as duty…you end up on “Bypass Road”…able to get a glimpse of the promise land but still unable to find the route into the “city”. When taken as directives, the map to God, Himself’s heart, with the only desire to keep them as to know Him more. The route is direct. Its the difference between religion and what Yeshua asks of those who love Him…a following. He stays ever before us, as atonement for our sins so that we may enter The Father’s presence; ever before us as a continual “landmark” by which we can see that defies north, south, east, or west! The language of Yeshua was a complete picture of both the Old and New Testaments! The Hebrew’s (Thomas and the disciples) that Yeshua was speaking to knew the commandments backwards and forwards, indeed they were given to them first! Yeshua spent much time showing the difference between a Trusting Follow verses a pharasitical religion. Keeping the commands to prove to one’s self they are good verses following the directives out of love for the God they say they serve.

Again we see this perspective of directive in the following interaction between Yeshua and the Roman soldier.

Matthew 8:5-13

As Yeshua entered K’far-Nachem (Capernaum), a Roman army officer came up and pleaded for help. “Sir, my orderly is lying at home paralyzed and suffering terribly!” Yeshua said, “I will go and heal him.” But the officer answered, “Sir, I am unfit to have you come into my home. Rather, if You will only give the command, my orderly will recover. For I too am a man under authority. I have soldiers under me, and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” On hearing this Yeshua was amazed and said to the people following Him. “Yes, I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such trust! Moreover, I tell you many will come from the east and from the west to take their places at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven with Abraham, Yitz’chak (Isaac) and Ya’akov (Jacob). But those born for the Kingdom will be thrown outside in the dark, where people will wail and grind their teeth!” Then Yeshua said to the officer, “Go, let it be for you as you have trusted.” And his orderly was healed at that very moment.

Note: The soldier looked for Yeshua and found his help. The Roman soldier, who had never read the commandments, never known God, knew better than all those around who had, the perspective of God where commands and directives were concerned. Notice too, where it says ‘those born for the Kingdom’ this refers to the Hebrews who “cut their teeth” on the very heart of God (His Directives) but even knowing the Hebraic perspective, were blind (in the dark). They were not doing with trust in God, but rather in God’s “words”. Its a fine line, and only the Spirit can illuminate the difference.
Also note; where the soldier emphasized his home as unfit. Most people don’t recognize the significance in his pointing this out. When its taught in church the focus is on the difference between Jewish “cleanliness” tradition verses gentile. This is a good point, but…the emphasis is meant to point out that an “uneducated, unclean, heathen – grasped the concept of “his way verses God’s” better than the Jews who practiced the cleansing rituals all their lives! No one but the Spirit could have taught this man that! It was a significant distinction again that proves God chooses whom He will, no “rules” as mankind see’s them will ever dictate God’s decisions. Ruth was gentile, and God chose her, too! Showing again the difference between “rule keeping” and following to get to know the God who directs!

Oh how hard it is to follow verses rule keep! To understand a loving Director and Guide is the goal of doing as the Word says. Not to check our list to determine for ourselves if our house is fit for Him. He makes a “fit Home” none other. We look for Him to show us the Way. And He is ever faithful to be the Landmark we can see, no matter who we are, where we are…He brings us Home! Glory to God!!
