A Slave or Free?

May 31, 2020 at 5:20 am (Remodeling the Mind, Thoughts to Ponder, WSGD Newes) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Romans 6:22 – However, now, freed from sin and enslaved to God, you do get the benefit – it consists in being made holy, set apart for God, and its end result is eternal life.

This post is dedicated to Ravi Zachariah – a beloved Brother, teacher, and friend of God. May we honor the Lord he lived for, spoke for, and died for… in so doing, we honor him. We shall see you again soon, dear Ravi… very soon indeed!

I cannot emphasize this enough: we must let go of this world, our best ideas for it and in it, not just what we’d change. That’s easy. We must rather be slaves of Messiah than free “Americans” or citizens of this world. We must allow what God actually defined as freedom to be our reality not what the best of “men” may have misinterpreted what God’s Word says. For in the dying of ourselves daily in Yeshua/Jesus, we become entrenched in the war of sin and death verses righteousness and life. All SPIRITUAL THINGS… none of these are temporal. It is the mind of God to bring an absolute end – destruction – of this world, fallen and decaying from sin. To make the New Earth that can not fall… ever again or decay.

Why? Why do we want to hold on to this life? Don’t say it’s because you want to see ________ (fill in the blank)! Would not the beholding of such be better in the world to come? Do we really believe education will end? That celebrating life will end? That watching people or things grow is exclusive to this world? Did not, the God we say we believe in make this world? Is it not, that His presence is the ONLY thing that makes anything good or beautiful, lovely and innocent, worth working and sacrificing for… have we forgotten it requires HIM for any of these things? So, if in the ending of this world as He has put into action… will not the one He has promised be far more amazing for children to grow up in never knowing sin, for families to unite in, for homes to be built, dreams to come true… and no more a career but a lifetime of discovery, never having to prove ones worth, question one’s ability or longevity again… isn’t this better? I challenge you and myself, place in the fire and let it burn whatever we think would be better here and now. Decide now, what will hasten the coming of the Day of the Lord. Fighting for this world or submitting to its end. It does not mean we stop loving who we love, or that we cease to be a mother or father to our children, or that we stop being agents of righteousness through the power and mind of Yeshua the Messiah here and now. It just means we know… trust… that this is temporary and what is to come is far better – yes, worth dying for. Decide now, we must – how we will turn the cheek, do good to those who persecute us, do double what is asked of us if nessessary… pray for our perceived enemies (human). Ask God now, to begin to form such reactions into your very being… because it’s here, dear fellowsheep. It’s not coming anymore. It’s here. It will get “worse” in the sense of more intense, more often, more of us… but the beginning of this started long ago. People are turning on their fellow humans for not wearing a mask for a virus they’ve never seen! Not the way it’s being mind- bending manipulated into people’s psyche. No one has seen people falling in the street dying of a bubonic plaque. They’ve seen videos of China… seemingly of the present… but they could be pieces of past videos. What have we actually seen with our eyes? What can each of us actually testify that we have witnessed? Do not act upon anything else! Learn what science has done to change what God designed in the human/ animal DNA. It’s important or you won’t understand why getting a vaccine which will make it so you can’t buy or sell is tantamount to changing your ability to choose to be in Gods Image – fully human – and die as such or whatever else the”powers that be” wish to transform humanity into… even if it is the ability to not get sick. Decide now, WHOSE plan we’re on board with, because there will be a day where we won’t be able to choose. The Lord, has been faithful to reveal His Word as can be seen in our reality today. Sadly much has been considered “conspiracy theory”. But not unlike when Yeshua came the first time. Those who knew or thought they did, His Word were looking for a totally different kind of savior. One that saved them in this fallen world and took over without destroying the whole thing… just the “bad guys”. Is this any different today? History repeats itself. Prophecy is fulfilled past, present and future. God is omni-…everything! We must be transformed by the renewing of our minds… and we have the mind of Messiah! He died, rose again and is coming again. We will do as He did. But He won’t leave us alone as we go… the same Spirit that tended Him after 40 days of temptation, was given to us as well. He is not sitting at the right hand of the Father, begging for the earth and its beautiful sunsets as they are now (and they are) to be spared from the coming destruction. Read 2nd Peter 3. It’s all going to go. What is broken here can not be fixed, only broken people, and only if they are broken. Choose, this day, whom we will serve. This is the daily call. It’s done daily, because we’re only capable of one at a time. Only Adonai, is capable of all times, for all things. If you watched the YouTube, it’s been shown plainly in scripture, better than I could. If you have not, you may well want to now, to understand what I’ve just posted.

Scriptures to include: 1 Peter 2:11-17; 2 Timothy 2:15; Ephesians 6:10 – emphasis on the Lord and HIS MIGHT!

1 Peter 3:17-18 – But you, dear friends, since you know this in advance, guard yourselves; so that you will not be led away by the errors of the wicked and fall from your secure position. And keep growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah. To Him be the glory, both now and forever! Amen.

A Time to Search and a Time to Give Up

December 5, 2017 at 6:28 am (Mile Stones, Thoughts to Ponder) (, , , , , , )

It struck me as odd as I read chapter 3 of Ecclesiastes that no one really teaches the meaning of the more negative aspects of the “a time to…” section.  I read it and said “Really, God, YOU have appointed times to give up!?” The searching part is more easily found among countless scriptures to seek, search and so on. So what does this mean that there is a time when God appoints one to give up?

I think the temptation is to put a more ‘spiritually positive spin’ on it. Such as; give up sin, bad attitudes, bad habits, control over people places or things and the like. Yet this entire passage does not give merit to such a perspective.

A time to search, a time to give up…

It seems to me it indicates giving up a search. Or to cease to seek out. To stop turning over rocks, digging for water, even looking for solutions. I think every moment is appointed for us to give up the more positively spun rhetoric (sin and the like). But here again, this passage seems to be saying – these are specifically appointed times. After all we only die once. We are only born once (well twice if we truly become a follower of Yeshua). We plant once a year, we uproot once a year. All of these are seasonal. In fact some interpretations or versions of the Bible say “For everything there is a season”  – mine does. It also reads…”A right time for every intention under heaven”. Seasons and intentions are progressive and developmental. Our flesh is always, timelessly, being asked to give up sin and so on. While these may have aspects of progression and development they are not seasonal. Or are they? Is there a time/season appointed under heaven to give up searching for righteousness? Searching for doing good – to everyone – friend or foe?

In so asking of Yeshua to teach me the answer to this question, a series of months went by. You could say three seasons. I was taught not with words but a series of circumstances that never yielded any fruit except when I literally gave up trying harder to seek, search and try harder to be good. It has been the strangest experience in my walk with God so far.

I will continue my thoughts further. For now, I wonder, what has He taught you about giving up – as it is referred to in Ecclesiastes 3?  I’m not so sure it’s an answer that is sought out in correct context. Therefore the finding of any answer is rather given than found. Which I find is how wisdom is obtained for the most part. It’s something we seek (search for) but only God – whose ways are not ours and thoughts are not like ours – gives wisdom.

Now more than ever we all need wisdom. It’s given, not earned. He makes Himself found by us as we seek Him. There is nothing in us worthy enough to plot a map out to find Him. We do not endure such a search without Him. We give up too easy. At least that’s been my experience. Even when I thought I didn’t give up, He shows me every time where I do and did, if ever so slightly in measure. Pride is a sneaky thing.

Yet my greatest comfort in such thoughts is that I know nothing can snatch me from His hands. Nothing can stop Him from teaching me through times/seasons. Not even me.

Awake! – Part 18 – To Preserve and Protect

June 21, 2017 at 1:34 am (WSGD Newes) (, , , , , )

It is perhaps the greatest tragedy to God’s heart; that human beings greatest mis-judgement is about The JUDGE, Himself.

Picture the field of flowers in the movie Wizard of Oz. You know the one where they go in to take a short-cut and the poppies put them to sleep? It’s illustrative for two reasons:

  1. To be put to sleep, stops progress. No one goes anywhere.
  2. The state of sleep can alter reality and trick us into thinking we’re in action when we’re really just laying there snoring.

The enemy of God is giddy when people are asleep! Illusions are his playground. God deals only in wide awake reality. This is why it’s the fool who says there is no God. And notice where the fool says it; in his heart. God’s reality is always clearest inside each individual heart. He’s the only One who sees this reality perfectly, clearly and always. We can not even look into our own heart long enough or deep enough to see our hearts exactly like they are. Only God – forever. We will never be given such sight to see. Given our track record it’s plain to see why. There is one thing that helps and is sure; if God is telling us about our hearts we can put our lives on what He’s saying. He tells us about the good and bad of them. But only us, about our own; or Him about His. Never ever ever will He sit and tell you or I about another human beings heart. That’s His territory, and He is zealous of it. At best He may give us insight (discernment) to apply to our own heart the nature or state of another’s for that moment only. But conclusive and fixed stares on another’s heart besides our own and God’s will never be given us. It’s all we can handle to tend or own “yard” in this regard. Personal heart-garden tending is the only spade and rake and shovel we’ll ever be allowed to take up for judgement. Even in this we will have to consult the Gardener for the disease that befalls some of the plants we find there. Why? Because only God can judge anything with absolute MERCY! We have been given the ability to have mercy from one circumstance to another, but not all and not everyone or anyone else’s. God sees where we as a thread in a tapestry begin, what has colored them, shaped or frayed them, strengthened them, weakened them, twisted them; but only He has pulled them through the covering of His love to the end. His choices remain the Mightiest and most effective for all time. His judgement is simply to let our choices that go against His become as big as they need be for us to learn. Consequences are the best juries with accurate verdicts every time. We may be imprisoned by them or set free, only He knows at anytime to which road we are headed at every moment of every day.

God has alot to say about judgement, do you ever wonder why? Let just sniff the waking salt of common sense for a minute.

The enemy of God JUDGED himself better than God. This means he JUDGED God as less than himself. Whhaaaooo! The very first sin and worst of all was to become a “judge-or” instead of a “judge-ee”. Pretty revealing once the reality hits us in the totally conscious part of our mind.

God also doesn’t hesitate to tell us exactly how He judges. The Word is full of His stories, examples and even some of His motives! He doesn’t owe us that! I realize we who have lived in the land of the free may feel the scratching of the chalk board at that thought. We have a tendency to think we’re owed alot of things we have no clue how to see much less have explained to us. Why? Because we are not capable of having all the facts about anything, ever. God can tip our scales in favor of them at times, but all of them are His alone. He’s the only One capable of them. Again it’s His character that enables His infinite ability here. He is love, patience, kindness, mercy, grace; and forgiveness is His signature. His signet ring isn’t worn on human hands, it is His heart. Even Yeshua (Jesus) – the Son of Man said He didn’t come to judge! How can mankind have ever confused saving as judging? Yet this is exactly what the enemy of God desire us to do, misjudge God. This enemy will use every illusion he can muster to get us so deceived into thinking God is a harsh judge. Reality, however, is that God is Yeshua! The God who saves!

Much confusion comes with our interpretation of wisdom aka discernment. The confusion only comes when we are tricked into thinking we have any of our own! Discernment and wisdom only come from God. So if we are given any, it’s a gift from Him, not a “gut feeling” we get to own. God gives us discernment to protect and preserve. Never to condemn. Not ourselves or anyone else, not a circumstance and especially not God Himself! If any condemnation comes from His discernment given to us, it’s not discernment – it has turned into the enemy’s evil of origin – judging.

So, when the Day of Judgement comes, it will be more apt to call it the Day of consequence set forth to eternity. Our own choices will then be the eternal state we have shackled ourselves to. Now we see why God has been so patient, longing to give us every chance to change our minds and let Him show us our hearts and His before that Day. Makes me wonder if those who have died years and decades ago are not still in the time of chances. Yet since this kind of thinking has no place in scripture for us to conjecturize I think we must leave that to Him who knows. There are a few examples given us in scripture that clearly tell us this territory is not for us to dabble about. He is clear, “I’ve given you the Word, I’ve given you My Son, I’ve given you My Spirit – if these are not enough to change your path then knowing more won’t change your mind.”

This post is awkward for me, as I usually place scripture throughout. This time I’ll give the references. It’s up to you to be awakened more and more by looking them up and asking the One who wrote them to show you how to see His heart in order for yours to be made whole. So that you may feel no urge to judge, either God or any one of His children ever again! It’s a transformation that defines freedom! The captive it sets free is us! God is then free to expand our territory into the full gift of discernment and wisdom. For God as a true Judge is the shamar – שמר – the Safegard,  not a governor or elected judge in some supreme Court. His court is heaven, He will judge the enemy and those hosts who fell from Heaven with him, with wrath and vengeance, but His judgement for His children is to safeguard, protect, and preserve. The Word of God reveals this plainly.
